We had reservations but because our favorite bartenders Bobbie and Masha were working, we sat at the bar. The moules and steak frites were excellent as usual. Best frites in town. And the warm Brussels sprouts salad was tremendous. The chef came out and talked to us about the salad and the opportunity to be creative with the specials. And we watched Masha create a new drink and we got to be tasters. We approved. This is why we keep returning. Great food, great staff, and a welcoming environment.

This restaurant was really nice, but not stuffy. Our server was very friendly and attentive. He gave us great service. It was also a nice atmosphere and pretty space. The food had some high and low notes. The blue corn bread with salted butter was delicious. It was a great start to the meal! Our steak was also really yummy. It was tender and flavorful. My old fashioned was lovely too. The sides however left a lot to be desired. The roasted squash was hard and the mac and cheese almost tasted like it hard tomato in it. It was odd. All and all still a great meal though!

Spending special occasion evenings at Intero has become a tradition for us. The place has a special Je ne sais quoi. Usually we go for dessert and drinks though we've had supper a couple of times. The staff is amazing, sweet and accommodating but also there's that unique something about Intero that is hard to articulate. But each time has been memorable. There's a low-key vibe yet every aspect speaks of quality without pretense. The golden and hand-decorated chocolates are a must have and who else serves Amari flights? All we can do is thank Intero for those really special times that we will always recall fondly.

We had a very good dinner at Taco Bistro. I ordered the clam chowder and lobster Mac and cheese with steak tips and broccoli. Some of the steak tips were chewy, probably because I like well done meat. The Mac and cheese was the best Mac and cheese I ever ate. There were two very small pieces of lobster in it. The broccoli was ok, the clam chowder was typical New England and very good. My partner had a cheese quesadilla which was very tasty and a big portion. He also had the parmesan fries which had a little heat to them, nice and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The dessert was a Boston creme pie. It did not disappoint, nicely presented and extremely yummy. You could say that the lobster meat was not needed in the Mac and cheese since it was almost not noticeable in the dish. Our server was very attentive, even finding a couple pillows for my back comfort. He also gave us very good menu suggestions.

Everything was amazing. The entire menu looked so good I was a little bummed I would only get through 20% of the menu. If I lived in the city I would be back once a month. Sat at the bar, cocktails were great. Got a Rye’d the Lighting, definitely fall/winter seasonal. The second cocktail was a mix of Rum, Heaven Hill Whiskey, I think amarro and bitters? That was killer. I think it was maybe a take on a black manhattan. Raw bar was delicious. The red snapper though was the best part of the meal. Best dish I’ve had in a while. The turnip bernaise was awesome and there were some subtle umami flavors we couldn’t pin down. Just an awesome dish all around. Would recommend any time. We loved everything about 3 Door Down. It’s where we often went straight from the airport when we’d be away too long and brought visiting friends and family. It’s where we’d sit and the bar and make decisions over drinks and the awesome happy hour menu. Or chat with strangers. The food was always great. The service a perfect mix of professional and friendly. And we are heartbroken that it has closed.

A group of colleagues and I came to Beeside for a business lunch because it is one of our favorite spots in San Diego. We were seated right away on the balcony which was a bit breezy however we were brought a portable heat lamp plus we had an overhead heat lamp that was built in. The portable heat lamp went out and we asked several times if we could get a new heat lamp since it was chilly. The server was very nice but I think she got distracted so we never got the new heat lamp. Other than that, the service was excellent and the food was outstanding, as usual. We love Beeside. Thanks for a great meal!
