Sustainability is a core focus of many restaurants across the country, and some of the most committed are recognized as ocean-friendly by the Surfrider Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to the protection of the world's ocean, waves, and beaches. Those restaurants must meet strict criteria, ranging from using proper recycling methods to eliminating plastic bags, straws, and utensils. Read on for which OpenTable restaurants are a part of the ocean-friendly program, and consider patronizing to contribute a small part of helping preserve the planet.

My first visit to San Diego and my husband and I were in search of a casual lunch spot— our experience at Sbicca was perfect: casual, cute ambiance, friendly staff, delicious food… and an ocean view if you’re at the right table. It’s also conveniently located in a walkable downtown-ish area.

This was our first visit to The Melting Pot to celebrate my wife's birthday. We were excited to try their 5-course experience, and although the menu was a bit overwhelming, our server did her best to answer each question and recommend a fantastic experience for us! I have to say, I rarely write reviews, and I've been in San Diego for about 5 years now. The Melting Pot left us speechless with every section of the full-course meal, the rich flavors, and the professionalism of the establishment. It completed our night, and for the price, I'd say it is well worth it! A big shout out to the manager as well for being kind enough to gift us a free Garlic and Wine seasoning that they make there. I recommend this place to anyone wanting an outstanding night to remember!

The ambiance was nice, the food and amount that you get was really good. The only reason i deducted points on service is because the servers could have been a little more attentive. We had to ask for refills more than a couple of times (for water, coffee, free flowing cocktails). Servers would disappear leaving us to wonder what happened to them. And the restaurant was nearly empty. Overall we had a good time and would go again.

We had such a great time celebrating my BFFS' birthday! We had a great table (rooftop) and a great view of the ocean and sunset! Food was excellent - ordered prosciutto wrapped scallops, tiger prawns, and peri-peri chicken! Our server, Greg, was outstanding! He took care of us really well! Thank you, Greg, for making our evening one to remember! Highly recommend this place!

This restaurant has great atmosphere and service. We enjoyed some small special dishes that were on the menu for the evening. It hit the spot perfectly. They also let us taste some wines before we decided on one. Will be back for sure.

Met a friend for lunch and we both had the Aji Poke salad. Super fresh with sticky rice, pickled cucumbers, pickled seaweed, excellent sushi quality Ahi Tuna and sesame dressing. This will be my new go to at Pacific Catch!

My server was outstanding on both days I visited. I attempted to visit third time on Sunday, but the brunch was only being offered. I was very disappointed, I had checked the menu online, and had my mouth set on the fish sandwich before heading back home.

An outstanding location right on the beach with amazing sunset views. Every member of the staff has a sincere spirit of Aloha and a smile. Service is top notch and the food is incredible. We started with sashimi for an appetizer followed by fresh fish entrees and everything was outstanding . Make every effort to leave room for Hula Pie for dessert. It's something you'll never forget.

Our table was ready at our reservation time. Our server was fabulous and the food was plentiful and delicious. It was VERY noisy in the restaurant. The speakers were way too loud. We thank you for the complimentary Hula Pie for our anniversary celebration.

Service has been an issue at so many Myrtle Beach restaurants this season, but at Cafe Amalfi George was absolutely wonderful—a real pro. The food was terrific (I loved the warm toasted bread) and the view is lovely. I would definitely recommend it.

First off, request Matt A.! Excellent service and wonderfully engaging. Couldn’t ask for better! We started with the calamari appetizer. Nicely presented and quite tasty. For lunch we enjoyed the macadamia nut and herb lunch and a ahi bowl. Nicely prepared and presented! Filling too! A couple of beers and finishing with a LARGE slice of Hula Pie (1 slice enough for 3-4 people!

Our waitress Anna was awesome ! When eating with a 3 year old for breakfast it’s a little more challenging on the wait staff , but Anna had it all under control ! Great food greater service a little pricey for the breakfast buffet $40 per head but you get what you pay for ! Excellent experience , the entire hotel was awesome for our family of 7 trip !

I have celebrated the past 3 birthdays here at Hoku's. I always have a great time. I brought my mom this time as it was also her birthday. I was disappointed that my reservation wasn't immediately recognized when I checked in. Even after showing my open table app and reservation. It's no big deal but I just felt embarrassed especially my mother was present. Overall, the service was amazing. The staffs were pleasant and friendly. Food was phenomenal. I will always come back to Hoku's. Mahalo for making my birthday celebration special.

Met a friend for lunch and ate on the side patio. The service was excellent. Both of us had fish with rice etc. The presentation and the taste was outstanding for both of our dishes. The restaurant has redone the interior and raised their prices. I thought some of the dishes were pricey but the service and quality of their dishes made up for the increase in price.

The Pacific Beach Alehouse had delicious food and fun atmosphere. The burgers were huge so we were easily able to split them for a filling dinner. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. Having reservations for our group of 8 worked perfectly. I would recommend this place for a family or friend gathering.

We went to celebrate our fifth anniversary. We were a little leery that it was over the Lexus dealership, but we’re quite surprised to find this beautiful restaurant impeccably decorated and open in airy. The staff was all wonderful and very helpful and the food was great. I would recommend this to anybody. It is a large restaurant so there were parties going on and celebrations, but none of them interfered with our romantic dinner.  I would definitely recommend going there. And if you’re so inclined, you can buy a car.😄

We had a patio table on the veranda as it was such a beautiful evening. Inside actually is a great beautiful old open air room so even sitting inside is a disappointment as they have music each night, but sitting on the brand that we were still able to hear it. Very limited menu for dinner but enough to give you choices. I had the steak Fritts, which I don’t understand was $30 cheaper than the downstairs restaurant so not sure what that is about as I said eating inside or outside you can’t go wrong here.

So...a restaurant in a hotel? How good could it be?? Well..PERFECT! Every aspect of the meal from the service, to the food to the amazing presentation, all perfect. Truly a rare, spectacular experience....one in a million. In my 68 years, I've never had such a perfect dining experience. If I lived here in so. Cal,I would be here once a week. During these trying times, we are trying to adjust our service so that customers feel safe but still have a great Ki's experience. Daytime service is as it always has been: order at the counter and the food will be brought to you in the seating area we have created outside under the tents. Night-time is full service. Sunday through Thursday is upstairs. The tables are spaced far apart and there is an option of being out on the front deck for parties of two. On Friday and Saturday, we will be offering full service in both seating areas of upstairs and under the tents outside.
Ki's is a perfect fit for its local beach community culture. The food was very good and we enjoyed the beautiful view of Mission Bay. The service was lackluster - not what I expect at this price. I indicated in our reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary, but no one acknowledged it. Parking is very confusing!

We are here 10 years ago. I ordered the fillet steak in anticipation that it was as good as last time we had dinner here. The steak was exceptional!! The dessert was also great. I would strongly recommend eating here.

Stone Brewery was a great place for a fun family meal! it was a little difficult at times given the restaurant being on the flight path (we sat outside so planes were flying right over head). it’s also a huge restaurant so service could be a little slow, as i imagine they have a lot of ground to cover. it was also strange to have to pay before we were done eating (i think this was due to them technically being closed? but there were still a lot of patrons there) overall it was good, especially the food and drinks, and its a beautiful setting/building

The food was fresh and delicious -- fish cooked perfectly, not dry. We asked for separate bills and the waitress was really accomodating to do it for us. We were outside and it was very comfortable and quiet.

We enjoyed our meal, we split a green salad, clams and the Lavender crusted albacore and we were feeling pretty full. And my husband got the German chocolate cake, decadent and good. We had a sunset view at one of the little tables at the window facing west. The table is very small, but it’s doable. Our server was attentive and helpful, maybe a little too formal. Calling me Miss was okay once, but not over and over.

Great dinner with friends during F1 weekend. It was one of the places that accommodated us last minute on such busy occasions. We are thankful to have gotten a reservation just because the live DJ made our dinner service even more entertaining. Our philosophy at the Beach House is simple - take aloha, blend it with fresh and high-quality ingredients, and add an ocean view to deliver a handcrafted, Hawaiian experience. Executive Chef Marshall Blanchard makes the most of local ingredients by sourcing our fish directly from island fisherman and our beef from neighboring ranches. We incorporate fresh and local produce throughout our menu, highlighting Hawai'i farms and the resources that surround Kauai.

Reservations are highly recommended for a dining room table in our open-air restaurant. We also offer lounge seating on our lawn, where the full menu and full service are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please check in with the bar host for lawn seating.

We had dinner for my boyfriend’s birthday. We were greeted by an amazing server, so polite and attentive the entire evening. We ordered the Calamari and some drinks to start, then ordered our main dish. The calamari was amazing, I had a guava mocktail that was too sweet for me but it wasn’t bad, my boyfriend had some lavender cocktail that he loved. Our main dishes were the Linguini Del Mar (this had fish that tasted fresh), and the Sea Level Burger with fries, both dishes were delicious. The noise level was low which was good, and they had these cute fire pits that kept us warm outdoors. We got a complementary piece of cake to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday, we had a great time.

Our first time at Lionfish won't be the last. The food was incredible and perfect to share with our table so we can try more items off the menu. The noise level was a bit high making table conversation tricky at times, but not enough to ruin our experience. Our sushi roll, gnocchi, and Fuego platter were highlights!

We chose the Island Fish Grill from the Open Table app allowing for proximity to our hotel. The service from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out was nothing short of outstanding. From Miles our server, who had such an easy way about his approach to his knowledge of the menu to the Service Assistant (wish I had caught his name) who was accommodating and friendly and service oriented also. The two made a great team. Our food was phenomenal! My wife had the Prix Fixe menu with Sheepshead fish and I had the Crab Cakes. The food was served hot and tasty and was a great value! We will definitely return. On a side note, the reservation stated it was my wife's birthday and Miles brought our to go dessert with a candle in it for him! Again, nothing short of fantastic for the whole evening.

Today it’s still a family atmosphere. Klara is still at the front to greet our guests. Tommy Cvitanovich, Drago and Klara’s son, is there to see that things run smoothly.

Super good pizza. The remodel now had a mix of walk up counter service, pizza by the slice, or full order. To get a table that is reserved, you talk with the food at the bar. It still took about 15 min to be seated. Our server was super friendly. Great selection of pizzas.

Our server, Seth, was amazing! He took care of our birthday dessert & was kind front beginning to end. Food was delicious & simple, everything we were craving in a lunch. Ambience was nice, casual for a week day. We’ll definitely be back. Mahalo, Nosotros Papaya!

Our server Zach was great! Very knowledgeable about the menu, able to make solid recommendations for some dietary allergies, and offered local recommendations for things to do! Very quick and efficient service.

Azabu Miami Beach is Japanese concept where guests can enjoy an intimate dining experience. Originating in NYC, as Sushi Azabu in Tribeca, the Azabu brand has been awarded a Michelin Star for six consecutive years and is now excited to bring its culinary expertise to the heart of vibrant Miami Beach in the South of Fifth neighborhood. The Miami restaurant will be composed of two Japanese culinary concepts – the main dining being a robata concept and the hidden room in the back called 'The Den', serving only authentic Japanese sushi.

The menu will feature innovative dishes curated especially for Miami by using exclusively sourced ingredients. The hidden sushi room will feature authentic sushi in Omakase style, where sushi chefs will guide guests through a true experience.
