Knowledgeable staff regarding all of the wines. Loved the Blanc de Noir 2018 "champagne". It was definitely worth the price of $85 - just an incredible sparkling wine comparable to Veuve or better.

Bao Bei is a unique restaurant in Chinatown that cultivates casual intimate dining experiences by providing small plates meant to be shared amongst a group of friends and family. Influences are taken from Taiwan and Shanghai but we are also inspired by a range of global flavours that form a more modern approach to Chinese cooking. The food at Bao Bei was an interesting asian-adjacent culinary experience. We had the family course dinner for a business group. There were wonderful and diverse flavors though the seasoning was very clearly intended for a western culinary palate, biased toward sweet rather than spicy flavors. Portions were adequate and the cocktails were really inventive and fun. I have to admit I was expecting a more authentic high-end Chinese meal, but what we had was delightful and quite memorable.

Bufala worked very hard to find something that I could eat. I ended up eating a pork dish that was very good. I have many issues with what I can eat, no gluten, no nightshades right now, so no tomatoes and no potatoes, for example, are a couple. So my first and second choices weren't gluten free. I won't be filling out any more open table reviews because I feel having to verify who I am for a food review TWICE is over the top. I'm not booking for surgery or having anything to do with a financial institution, this is for a FOOD REVIEW.

Wonderful experience highly recommend! The food was exceptional, attentive service, friendly atmosphere. We had 5 course dinner with wine pairing. Each dish was carefully arranged and balanced taste wise with sophistication . Visually every plate was a masterpiece. Thank you for lovely dinner. We will be back for sure!
