First time at this restaurant and my boyfriend and I had an amazing experience. Had only heard bits and pieces about Giulietta from friends and coworkers but not enough to push it to one of my top priority must-East restaurants list in Toronto, so we had no expectations prior to our visit.
Firstly, the “counter” seating option was probably the best option out of the three when making a reservation! Super happy we were seated at the counter. Seeing all the kitchen staff work so efficiently and with precision was a nice touch to our overall experience.
Second, the welcoming service and attention from not only our server but the rest of the restaurant staff was exceptional! I enjoyed how no matter the server, when we were finished with a plate or needed our glasses refilled, whoever was nearby would tend to us. The attention to detail was very appreciated, including the placement of the water pitcher and the water glasses, and the clean-up after each course.
Lastly, the food was incredible. The kale salad was such a unique salad with the honey butter vinaigrette and unforgettable. While we were satisfied with our five dishes, another reason for why we enjoyed sitting at the counter was being able to see all the other dishes being prepared from the menu so we now know what else we want to try during our future visits.
I’ve frequented a lot of restaurants in and outside of Toronto, including Michelin star restaurants, and I can without a doubt say that this has been the best overall dining experience including the best Italian food I’ve eaten in a restaurant.
