We had the clothesline bacon, it was a fun treat with cocktails and then had outstanding Caesar salad. We shared the Bison ragu with homemade pasta, it was again a great presentation with two ribs we easily cut from the bone to add to the mushrooms and light sauce. It was delicious. Our young Marine officer was on leave after serving in The Philippines. What better way to celebrate than to go to Queenies... (he prefers Queenies to MREs) Appetizers? Elk sliders, oysters, and rattlesnake sausage. Entrees- trout, filet mignon, and chili rellenos. The bartender knew her craft well. Service was flawless... and - not much noise last night. It made for a fine evening for the 5 of us. The finale? Desserts. A wonderful chocolate cake and donut holes... the desserts were comped in honor of our guest. And - a good time was had by all.

Very nice evening. Mary served our delicious dinner with Jose Luis assisting her. I had a delicious Caesar Salad while my wife enjoyed a Burrata Salad. She chose the Filet Mignon with Angry Lobster for her entree. I chose the RSR NY Strip for my entree. Both entrees were prepared exactly as we requested and were delicious. The wine we chose was a Louis Jadot Santenay. Delicious and reasonably priced. Looking forward to our next. Thank you Mary and thank you RSR.

The 12 oz Filet Mignon and crisp Hipster fries were exceptionally delicious. The maitre D was kind to allow my guest and I to sit at a table that was intended for four guests so that we could have a quieter, more private experience than if he had sat in the two-person table in the center of the venue that was originally offered. Venus was a very attentive, friendly server. We did not order dessert because the menu was too short and the options were too exotic to appeal to either my guest or I. The cappuccino was good but too small, with only a single shot.

A Culinary Gem in Los Angeles Providence offers an extraordinary dining experience that captivates from start to finish. Seated in a quiet, well-lit private room, we enjoyed an ambiance that was both elegant and inviting. The attentive staff, including the owner, who shared insights about the recent remodeling, set a warm, personal tone for the evening. The perfectly adjusted lighting and background music added to the refined atmosphere, allowing for intimate conversation. Service at Providence was exemplary, characterized by custom-crafted cocktails prepared tableside and knowledgeable descriptions of each course. Attention to detail regarding food allergies and preferences was impeccable. Seamless transitions between courses and the owner’s personal involvement in serving and sharing his culinary philosophy elevated our experience. Each dish was plated with meticulous precision, resembling works of art that invited admiration and photographs. The abalone dish, with its perfect cuts, was visually stunning and was particularly notable. The flavor profiles were balanced and thoughtfully curated, each dish introducing a new and exciting taste while ensuring a harmonious progression. The standout was the harmonious balance of textures, sweetness, and saltiness, with each dish standing out uniquely. A highlight was the discussion about house-sourced honey and Hawaiian cacao, hand-crafted in-house, adding a layer of authenticity to the dining experience. The 30-month-old French cheese, served with house honey and shaved black truffle, was a masterpiece, perfectly matured and complemented beautifully by the accompaniments. In conclusion, Providence delivers a 5/5 dining experience, ideal for an unforgettable night out or an impressive client dinner. The elegant setting, exceptional service, masterful presentation, and exquisite flavors combine to offer an unparalleled dining experience, making Providence a top choice for those seeking culinary excellence.

We always look forward to going to Jar. The food is always delicious and wonderful. We love that there are specials not on the menu that we enjoy. Chris suggested for our appetizer the we try the crab and shrimp cakes which were fabulous. The staff is always very friendly and attentive. Chris is very professional and very informative. The tasting menu was fabulous. The service impeccable. The dishes came out with correct timing. A true culinary experience. The ambiance is ok but there are some nice touches like a small candle on the table and a flower tucked and tied into the napkin However the music selection is horrible. Not the kind of selection for a restaurant. I don’t need headbanger music while dining. The staff did turn the music down per our request but This is the only negative. But the restaurant is a definite go to.

About the restaurant
Come dine in this beautifully restored Uptown restaurant on Magazine Street and enjoy James Beard Award Winning Chef Justin Devillier's contemporary Louisiana Cuisine.

The La Petite Grocery name pays homage to the history of its home, a building that’s stood for more than a century. The original structure was built in the late 1800s and called the Central Tea, Coffee and Butter Depot. In 1908, a fire devastated the space and it was transformed into a full service grocery store. Later it was most notably a fine foods and butcher shop, VonderHaar’s Fine Foods until 1982. When La Petite Grocery opened in March of 2004, they similarly aspired to provide the neighborhood with exotic teas, locally roasted coffee, and fresh produce. By doing this, we hope to provide a dining experience that evokes nostalgia of old New Orleans. Reservations are preferred.

What an amazing experience. We did the chef tasting for my daughter’s 11th birthday which I know is a bit insane. The staff and chef treated my little girl like a princess. Greeting her by name when we walked in. Giving her mocktails to go with her tasting menu. A kids version champagne toast, birthday card, autograph from their chef and an autograph and note from our server and a gift from the chef was more than I could have ever asked for. My daughter has recently been through a lot of trauma and her birthdays are a sore spot. Tonight I don’t think the staff realized how much their care meant to her and to my husband and I. It was by far one of the best nights I have ever had. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts truly. Oh and BTW the food was unbelievable I highly recommend the chef tasting you will not forget it.

Every single plate was better than the last. The albondigas a la feria were amazing and so tenderly cooked (we ordered them with every round) and the cogollos salad was bright and delicious.

About the restaurant
Named after the bird that populates nearly every port along the ancient maritime spice routes, Spice Finch pays homage to a passerine that does not sing, yet is known to vocalize or chirp in recognition of good eats. We are inspired by the distinctive flavors of the nations bordering the Mediterranean Sea, and heavily influenced by the cultures and culinary traditions of Morocco and Greece. Our menu is a bold, seasonally accurate menu featuring an array of small plates, vegetables, grilled meats and fish.
