We’ve been to the BavTav numerous times, and reading a few of the reviews from this August that gave low ratings for seemingly ridiculous reasons (I didn’t ask for a table outside, but wanted to sit outside, but am allergic to the sun and didn’t like the table that was outside like I asked because it was in the sun) makes me disappointed in some of our fellow diners. It is rare when things aren’t absolutely perfect, but they don’t always have to be to have a great experience. The BavTav serves some really great food, in a nice setting, a short and pleasant drive from Calgary. Everyone we’ve interacted with from the Bav Tav has been friendly and helpful. We’ve sat in the dining room & bar and both have been nice (the deck looks nice too though we haven’t sat out there yet). Tonight was no exception - everyone was very friendly and courteous. For a starter we had a large pretzel and added the beet soup - both were excellent. One of us had a sausage dish, one the eggplant snitzel, one of our kids had the snitzel and the other the chicken tenders. All were superb and the vegetable sides couldn’t have been better. We have a great and an enjoyable evening each time we visit the Bav Tav and couldn’t recommend it more.

Server was very good & helpful, drinks took awhile to come but it wasn't her fault as they seemed slow at the bar. This was first time dining & staying at Fairmont McDonald so decided on the lounge instead of restaurant because the menu had a few more items. Food was good but nothing exceptional. Most tables not set up for real dining more for casual snacking etc. as we had a small low table but our server accommodated with another one to put our meals on. After dinner went outside for a coffee and she brought us blankets as it was a tad chilly outside.

Great night, lobsters were a good size. We thought they would be small lobsters because we have never been. We thought the price was high until we saw the nice size lobsters and it was worth the money. We will definitely spread the word. People want value for their money especially in this day and age and you sure delivered what you advertised. We were all impressed. Our waitress was fabulous. Watching 2of my favourite NFL teams at the same time was one of our reasons for visiting. The main reason was to receive the free sunglasses that were promoted through the app via email. We made a special trip from a small town we live in nearby to get our sunglasses but our waitress advised the shipment had not arrived. She nicely took our names so we should receive a phone call when they arrive but it put a damper on our visit. Crazy how a silly pair of sunglasses can mean so much.

I was so impressed. It was my birthday celebration and they gave me a tray of triple cheese nachos that were the best ones that I have ever tasted! I had the 8 oz. Prime rib steak and my hubby had pizza and they were both amazing. So much food that we had to bring home leftovers. The service was top notch as well. I highly recommend Canadian Brewhouse any day of the week! Thank you for a great night! 🥰

We celebrated a birthday in the dome. We were there on a cloudy/moody morning but it was still wonderful to watch the clouds move through and watch for the mountains to peek through. The menu was set and it was all delicious. They were able to accommodate the various food allergies in our party with equally delicious options. Our server was great and even brought out some birthday cake at the end of our breakfast to help us celebrate! The dome was spacious but cozy and decorated nicely.

I was on my way to Hy's for dinner, but I'd had a late lunch, so didn't think I could consume the usual full meal I enjoy so much. I decided to pop in for a Hy's Caesar Salad, which doesn't get enough accolades, in my view. It is without a doubt, the finest C.S. anywhere. I was seated and ordered Cheese Toast to accompany my salad, of course. It was tough watching the Charbroil Master flipping steaks, none of which were for me, nevertheless, I really enjoyed the meal. The staff were extra attentive, knowing I was on my own.

I love brunch at Pier 7 - just hard to choose between the Avocado Bennie, the Smoked Salmon Bennie and the decadent chick and waffles or pancakes. This time we had a group of 9 and the staff made a great table for us on the outdoor, very much heated, patio. Our server was amazing. We have had the same gentleman the last two times we were in and he was great with checking my dinner was safe as a celiac and also suggesting great wines. When they were out of milk which my daughter requested he suggested a Shirley Temple which was great. Only complaint we had was we waited a long time for the bill but then saw on the table we could pay via credit card at the table. Would have been great to be told about this at the end of the meal or to receive a bill as we prefer to pay by debit.

We are much happier with our second visit to Eat Bar & Patio Haraheri on Jan 1st than our previous visit. The service was top notch from walking in the door to leaving the restuarant. The server explained the daily special and regular menu properly. All the items ordered were really good but hope the sashimi salad would be like a share-plate portion size. They also have a couple of nice draft craft beers on tap that are not too common. Will come back to try the other daily special items when they are not sold out like yesterday.

In this case, our reservation did not work. When we arrived we were told there is no space. We wanted to sit outside. The chef was embarrassed and offered us a glass wine while waiting. The whole situation was a bit strange: we came around 5pm and wanted just a drink, were told all tables were reserved for dinner. So we reserved on Opentable for 7:15pm. When we arrived our reservation was not honored. Half a hour later we were given a table, and oh wonder, at all the other tables the people were consuming drinks. We were the only 'diners'?! After this rather unpleasant experience, we received a very good service, and exceptional good quality of food - which elevated the whole experience to 4-stars.

We had a lovely experience on New Year's Day at Victor. Only a few issues where our water glasses weren't topped up on the regular and I had a small filet mignon that was completely burnt on top and bottom which was disappointing for the value of it. I had a post-marital get together with our friends Friday night. We had 1 waitress for the 30+ of us and she absolutely killed it. I was very impressed with how she memorized all of our names too. I'd also like to note how I could only get a reservation for 20 people and made a note on the reservation I may have more, which I did. The fact that I had 150%+ what was reserved for and still was comfortably accommodated was very impressive and made this special celebration that much more special. My wife is American, so the whole canadian theme, extremely polite and professional servers, the smoothness of how the night went, and the quality of food and the fair prices made the Canadian Brewhouse a choice I will forever be confident in making for events like this, or a simple outing with friends. Thanks Canadian Brewhouse and to the blonde waitress working Friday night, September 1st - you absolutely killed it and I hope you got a ton of huge tips!

They have an interesting menu, at a range of price points. My friend, and I shared a charcuterie plate and a market salad and a dessert plate of small bites. We loved it. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly . He made a couple of recommendations, which were excellent. I will definitely dine there again.
