The staff went out of their way to accommodate the physical limitations of our 90 year old parent. We were moved to a more accessible area which as very much appreciated. The duty manager who seated us and took initial orders and then server were attentive and very professional. Our meals were first rate. Reason for 4 star for ambience is the choice of music did not work for us from a dining pleasure perspective and the sound level as we found it made conversation difficult.

The service was fantastic! I had the double pork chop, it was very large, juicy and delicious. My husband had the bolognese pappardelle, he said it was very flavourful. We definitely will be going back, hopefully soon.

The restaurant exceeded our expectations. Right from the time we were greeted at the door, to the time we were seated we were treated to a friendly welcoming staff. We were seated and given plenty of time to decide what we were eating. We both made excellent choices, and our meal was exquisite. The lamb was so tender and juicy. My wife had the fresh halibut and it as well, was excellent. As it was our first time there, it was quite a surprise. It was so good. The portions were generous. We definitely will be back!

Bonterra is one of our go-to restaurants, the food is always amazing and the ambience is excellent! I usually go during warmer weather to sit on the best patio in Calgary, but new years day in Calgary is not conducive to dining al fresco :-) so this was my first time dining inside - not as lovely as the patio of course but it was still very nice. The food was so good - there was 6 of us for a birthday dinner and so we were able to try a good variety of items on the menu, everything was well prepared and delicious, and the Bartender's Baby cocktail special was a big hit. Best of all was our server, she was an absolute delight and very attentive and friendly (without overdoing it).

My first time there. Nice ambience, great service and excellent food. I will go back there again. The only negative is that my girlfriend is celiac. They said they could replace the bread with chips and all would be good, and they literally brought out a bog of chips (in a serving cone) with the meal. Really?? 😲 In this day and age, you can't be bothered to have a few rice crackers on hand for this king of situation? I mean, come on...

I came to this restaurant because of the good reviews, the place is nice but not the best, food is way below expectations, bread was stale and cold , the steak was not made as we ordered it and also cold, the mushrooms seems to be so dark as if it's canned mushrooms, and the server who was serving the table is way too inexperienced in fine dining. I was booking this dinner expecting a totally different experience and definitely not going again, it's so not worth the money nor the time.

We were worried at first, since the hotel was full, but the resto was very quiet at dinner time. Thankfully, our fears were unfounded! The poor waiter was also the bartender and cleaning up the tables, but he managed it all with ease. The cocktails were great, then food…excellent!!!! Even if we stay elsewhere in Banff, we would return there just to eat. Their buffet breakfast was also great. And, both meals were reasonably priced too. Loved it!

The warn potatoe salad is phenomenal. I ordered the same thing everytime. The Blanckened Cajun chicken with Coleslaw and warm potatoe salad. I can't get enough. Also the creme brulée is delicious.
