Went to Nia the other night with a group of work colleagues and had a great experience. We were the only ones there. Didn't even look at the menu. I'm big fan of tapas and we got to try a lot of dishes. Nia was there and took great care of us ordering things she knew we would like after asking some questions about food preferences and staggering the delivery over reasonable amounts of time. Wine was reasonably priced. Leave room for desert. I'm not a big fan of cheesecake. Nia's was a little different and was outstanding as was the creme brulee. Overall terrific experience. I'll be back.

It was a little cold in the restaurant, this was due to it being a very cold night and the door allowed a breeze in every time someone arrived and left. Also the A/C was on in the men's room and the water was very cold. These issues are easily fixed. All in all the food was excellent and the service was top notch. The staff found the perfect balance of allowing my party to feel as if someone was always around and available without being over bearing. I prefer when staff allows patrons to enjoy the wonderful meal they prepared without constantly asking if we need anything. The food was amazing and the spicy miso soup was a welcomed change to the typical miso soup.

The food was great but our waitress, Heather, she took it up a notch. My husband is a vegetarian, we ordered a charcuterie app for the table. Heather thoughtfully brought the meats in a separate plate and the breads, cheeses and condiments in another. That was incredibly thoughtful of her, we did not even ask, she did it on her own. That kind of service is what makes a great evening extraordinary. Thank you!

Some of the best cocktails I've ever had, period. We sat at the bar and the service was outstanding. Food was delicious and complimented the evening, but the cocktails really are the star of the show here. The setting is quite romantic, dimly lit and quiet, incense, ambient music, friendly, refined. It's pricey for drinks, for sure, but you feel like you're getting something of the highest quality and you're the only one drinking quite so well. For a special occasion, it's hard to beat Kumiko.

Such a great place to eat!!! In a super cute part of town, there is live music on one side and a bar on the other. The service is incredible, we had such a nice waitress and the staff was so attentive. Very clean and the food was so delicious. A great selection of wines as well. We had not been here in while, because service was poor. Glad to report that service has improved, considerably. The food has been fantastic, and this visit was fantastic as well. I love the seasonal menu, and really appreciate how the food is much more innovative than other local restaurants. There was a loud group/party in bar, they were only reason to pull down ambiance and noise level. The restaurant is very open to bar, creating extra noise. We will be back again for happy hour.

We came for lunch and we initially were the only party there with only one other group coming in after us. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. It was quiet, clean, well spaced out, and easy to find. The menu is slightly limited so it's not likely a place once would visit often due to lack of choices. Prices were reasonable for about half of the items, the rest I felt was on the expensive side. That being said, the food was delicious as was agreed by our whole party. I only knocked down the value a bit because I thought it was petty to charge for a side of ranch which I asked for my fries. I was not informed there either be a charge and I just think it's ridiculous to charge for something like that. I did feel that it seemed to take a while to get our food after ordering considering we were the only ones there, so I would just throw caution if it would be more busy on what that impact may be but I can't speak from experience since this was my first visit.

Barrel, cheese & wine was amazing! I can’t say enough about the service, food and atmosphere. I hosted a party for 12 and the team was so accommodating. They went above and beyond for us and made our party one we will remember for a long time. As far as food goes, I’d recommend everything on the menu. But the feta spread was amazing! For me, the one thing that stood out is that they didn’t have any hidden fees. There were no surprises or special charges bc of our party size and I think that’s so hard to find these days. I can’t wait to go back.

Second visit. Excellent thanks to Adam our server who helped the wife through wine selection. Food was as good as first time. Charcuterie samplings we’re a bit sparse in quantity but we’re good in taste. Birthday (wife) crème brûlée topped off the evening aided by Frangellico on the rocks. This venue will become one of my regulars

Chris and Nina Nugent are chef/owners of this Fine Dining BYOB restaurant located in Lincoln Square. goosefoot® features a subtle palette of grays with touches of gold and black. The cuisine is an artful blend of French technique with modern vision created from small artisan farm products. Chef Nugent’s talent for precision, refinement and visual artistry in the form of an elaborate multi-course tasting menu.

The menu price is $175 per person (20% service charge plus tax not included) plus $10 corkage fee per person. (If you purchase some wines from our goosefoot® food & wine store, the corkage fee will be waived).

I had an amazing experience at Goosefoot! It's always wonderful to have dinner at Chris and Nina's restaurant. I'm so excited that they're moving and I'm also curious about their next adventure. Join me, Maya Rotman-Zaid, owner of BellaRu Catering, and my staff for the 2nd season our Pana Dining Experience in our commercial kitchen in Highland Park. "Pana" is a common phrase in Venezuela and means "friend" or "buddy". Experience traditional Venezuelan cuisine in a unique environment.
New this year we are adding Patacones - a traditional plantain sandwich and an Arepa Cabimera - a Venezuelan twist on nachos.
Next available dates for Reservations are Feb. 9 and 10 and Feb 16 and 17. Please call for larger parties and we can accommodate other dates.
