Little Anthony's Italian Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
Went there for my birthday and had an amazing time. Lovely atmosphere. Great food. Nice wine list. Great service. All good.
The waiter was very kind and the food was delicious!
I’ve always wanted to go but never did until Saturday night. Loved the food and the waiter was fabulous, he told us he’s been there 19 years! I’ll go back again soon.
Excellent food and good service 1 min from the Four Seasons Centre. Ideal for pre/post theatre.
Finally a reasonably priced good Italian restaurant in the Downtown! This place is right across from the Sheraton nearby to the Opera house, The Royal Alex and a bit of a walk to Yonge St and Victoria. Taxis abound.
The atmosphere was understated and warm. The service was co-ordinated and very timely. No waiting. The wine list was very well selected in the mid range, with not so many expensive choices that take up space. We had a very pleasant Primitivo that we had not tasted before. It was jammy and fresh at the same time. Great colour.
The antipasto plate was well-displayed with different meats so it was more fun. The shrimp and arugula salad was very tasty and not over-sauced.
The pasta was fresh and the carbonara presentation delectable with home cut smoked bacon and a fragrant sauce that did not overbear. The grilled shrimp and pesto was wonderful. The shrimp were plump and perfectly cooked with great flavour. Excellent mixture.
For dessert the fried puffs with orange sauce defeated the very smooth panna cotta. A strong espresso finished a great experience. And my wallet was not empty when we left happy.
We had a family dinner for 16 guests and LA staff were fantastic. The food was ver good, served quickly and the staff were very attentive.
Would return to LA again!
Little Anthony's was AMAZING!!! great staff, beautiful ambiance, delicious food!!
LOVE COMING BACK HERE!!!
Overall it was ok. Food was good nothing out of this world but decent.
Have to agree with other comments regarding service, this place would do go if the waitresses paid attention to details. At the bar, service was slow, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. Water was empty, forgot to bring the oil for the bread, long wait to clear. Will likely not return.
The staff are very attentive and quite exceptional. Food was excellent.
The waitress was great, however her colleagues let her down. First no beers, not one but three however I did get a complimentary bottle beer. Second we were waiting a good half hour and then suddenly the food appears like as though there'd forgot. That's what it felt like and it was warm and not hot like I like my food, it was well presented and tasted good so I did eat it. I don't complain I just won't go back and all our party felt the same. What a shame because the lady who was looking after what seemed all the restaurant worked extremely hard. The tip was for her and her alone.
Friendly but erratic service. I requested but was not offered fresh parmesan on my chicken and pasta dish. Wines pricey for the quality presented.
The food was delicious! Loved the bruschetta! Servers were very attentive. Atmosphere was good, but rather an odd assortment of music. Would definitely return.
First visit. We both enjoyed our Italian meals. Polite, professional staff. Tasty appetizers & mains.. Food & wine reasonably priced. Pasta dishes were perfectly prepared.
Loved this restaurant! On our first visit to Toronto, and wish we had found it earlier. Food was delicious and service attentive and very pleasant. Pasta was cooked to perfection. Quite pricey (particularly the wine), but that was perhaps due to weak Sterling exchange rate. Highly recommend.
Lovely place! Food was delicious and service was great!!
A wonderful lunch. We've been there many times and will continue to return. As vegetarians it's sometimes difficult going to an Italian restaurant, but at Little Anthony's there are always some options. The staff is very attentive which makes the visit pleasant.
Service was fantastic
Would definitely go again
Made a quick date nite with my wife and we went to Toronto and saw beautiful , then went to LA's for a great dinner and home the next day. Dinner was the perfect end to a great day
When we got there, we had to wait several minutes until the hostess appeared. Other employees saw us at the door but no one came or explained that the hostess was coming in a minute. When we seated the waiter did not tell us the special of the day, which we found out only after he said it to the clients on the next table. The food was delicious but the overall impression was not good. We do not intend to go back.
This place was absolutely phenomenal! Went here during an anniversary trip to Toronto and everything was great. The service was wonderful and the food was absolutely wonderful!
I come here specifically for the Primativo wine. We were celebrating a birthday on Saturday. Thank you Little Anthony and to all of your staff for making this evening so special.
It is my second time going there and I am impressed the owner or manager came to our table and advise me he remembered me. that's flattering but now I want to go back. Impressive.
Great spot for lunch in downtown Toronto. Really enjoyed my caesar salad and chicken parm. The service was very good. You will not be disappointed with the price or the quality.
Excellent service and food. Definitely will revisit.
It's my first time there for a business dinner. It did not disappoint. Very nice setting and great food. Will definitely return.
When I arrived I asked for a coffee and when the server asked if I wanted milk or cream I stated that I don't consume dairy, he agreed and said something about being lactose intolerant himself.
I ordered the tomato and basil pasta that was the only item on the menu that didn't have cheese mentioned. And I've been to enough Italian restaurants to know that parm is offered on the side and never drenched in it. So when my plate came covered in cheese I asked the server who dropped the plate to me (not the one who took my order) and was told that I should have informed them of allergies beforehand and glared at me.
I did inform your staff and giving me attitude because your coworker didn't listen isn't my fault.
So happy with the choice go to Little Anthony's to meet a special friend and be able to have confidential casual conversation in a quiet atmosphere while enjoying fresh fabulous food. Our waiter was delightful and very personable. Over all a very nice experience.
The meal that we had at Little Anthony's was great. The only down-side though was that we were seated by three people whose language was absolutely disgusting. However, we asked our waitress to move us and she quickly whisked us off to a quiet table where we were able to enjoy our delicious meal. Our thanks to our waitress for her quick action. Some people should stay home if they choose to speak so disgustingly in public. I hope that the restaurant remember these people and turns them away in the future. Such idiots should not spoil an evening for the other guests just because they don't know to behave in public.
Took a while to be seated even though had reservation.
Water was charged for even though no indication of it on menu or drinks menu.
Food was poor - underseasoned and bland. The risotto for the veal dish had an off flavour - tasted old or it has been cooked using dirty water.
Prices were high, portions were tiny. If you are going to charge a high price tag for a small main course, it had better be good. This wasn't good at all - I can cook better food at home without even trying, and I'm no chef.
Quite bad. Won't be going back.
Enjoyable dinner outing. Seated near the window, affording a quieter environment for discussion. The food was great - the Tagliatelle Bolognese is a super dish, with an accompanying Chianti. This was my second visit; will be back again often.
Met friends before attending the ballet at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts. Staff was attentive and was aware and accommodated our time constraints. Food was great as was staff. Prices were more reasonable than I had expected.
This is our GO-TO restaurant for pre-ballet. Never disappoints.
While the food was tasty the portions were small, plus our waiter forgot to bring my guests appetizer.
Excellent food and excellent service ! Charchuterie tray and minestrone soup was delicious, as was the Lobster pasta of the day. Have dined here several times and the atmosphere keeps me coming back !!
Excellent food, fantastic appetizer and main course
I chose this restaurant due to its proximity to the Shearton Hotel, but I will return as it is a great centrally located restaurant. The food was excellent, service was great, and it has a lovely warm atmosphere.
Great, as always!
The server was completely distracted by his other work, didn't seem to care at all. We had to speak with other servers 2-3 times to get his attention. Had to repeat simple instructions several times. He was off hand, dismissive. We found this unacceptable.
Wonderful, everything done well
Great food, we went twice in one week because of that. Good wine, good coffee to end the meal. I will come here again when in Toronto.
