Wine way over priced. Anything with lobster had a very weird, odd taste (except the bisque). Mussels were good.
Loved the cozy and warm ambiance, very clean. Food delicious. Owner/service warm and friendly. Creative menu. Definitely will be returning.
Food great and service fabulous. Relaxed atmosphere
good service and food ok
This felt like a family run restaurant which is quite rare nowadays and you could sense the commitment to their customers and to their business. I ordered various items for two people with the bill coming to about $120 before tip. The medium sized fresh lobster was $60. I timed my dinner with the availability I saw online but when I entered the restaurant, it was unclear why certain times blocked off as unavailable since there were empty tables. I believe other patrons did the same because 5 tables came in at the same time. This caused a backlog in the kitchen so some tables waited longer than normal for their food. I would definitely go back again to support a local family business.
Great service, nice ambiance and an incredible food!
Very expensive with not enough seafood options. Rene Cesar salad dressing on a salad for $15.00?
Great spot, amazing service.
Lovely place. Casual, excellent food with a fun theme. Very nice folks. Very accommodating. Was a fun night for my family. The lobsta' was excellent, the bisque was fantastic.
The restaurant was cozy and nicely decorated. The food tasted great. Excellent service!!!
Very cute restaurant, nice owners. Had the lobster bisque and Mac n cheese, needed some pizzazz to the food. Also had the monster burger which was good.
Their unusual dishes were the best. I did not appreciate it when they turned the TV away from my view without saying anything.
One of the worst meals we've had in a long time. The Large lobster was overcooked, likely frozen to begin with, and tasteless. Serving caesar salad with the lobster made no sense to me. We went there because of the ratings, has it changed ownership??? The ratings in no way reflected our experience. On a Friday evening, when we arrived, there were only 2 other tables with diners. They shut the music off as we stood up to leave at 7:45pm, there were no other diners.
Food was delicious, service excellent. Staff really made you feel that they were happy you were eating at their restaurant and they surprised us with a delightful ice cream birthday dessert
A really nice evening - will definitely go back
Food, location and staff are amazing. Food portion size are huge but affordable
Great food and service. Very much a neighborhood feel when you are there
making it very comfortable. had a very nice dinner with my wife.
Food was subpar. Was charged $41 for a small lobster that didnt even look a lb. Plus $12 on top for soup and mash. Lobster Bisque was just ok. Garlic bread is just dinner bun with garlic and butter. $53 meal for something you can get anywhere else for $20. Fish & chips was not good.
Good for casual dining or lunch if price was better. Good atmosphere for a date. Clean environment.
Extensive lobster menu. Good food. A few non seafood choices.
Very nice atmosphere, food and service. Highly recommended.
If you’re in the mood for lobster or crab this is a casual and cozy atmosphere that’s great for a couple’s night out or a family dinner. Food was delicious - notably the steamed whole lobster, snow crab legs, and lobster bisque. Staff were extremely friendly and gave us complimentary bruschetta while we were waiting for lobsters to cook and hadn’t ordered any appetizers.
Would definitely go back !
Lobster tacos and bisque delicious. Whole lobsters very expensive as everything additional is an add in. Overall expensive for what you get.
The owners are friendly, warm individuals. That was a great start to the experience! It went downhill from then on. We were 4, & 3 of the meals arrived at the same time. There was a problem with the 4th order, which had to go back, & did not arrive until the other 3 diners were almost finished their meals. We did not think that the the quality of the food was up to the standards that were expected. For what you pay, the bottom line was that the experience was disappointing.
Service was great. Staff was friendly. Food was delicious.
It was very good. A bit pricey but the food tasted great. My son loved his lobster tails. There were only 2 servers, not sure if that's all they had for the restaurant but they could have maybe used one more. Other than that the restaurant is beautiful, service was good and food was great.
It was a nce experience.
The steamed lobster was terrific. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. It was raining when we left and the host gave us an umbrella to walk to the car. Great place, great lobster.
Such great experience for a first time visit. Great food.. awesome service. We'll for sure come back and recommend.
I was very excited to try this place. However, whereas the food was tasty and a great value for the money the service was lacking. There were little things that were missed which seemed insignificant but speaks towards customer service. The owner spoke to everyone else in the restaurant at the time (there were probably 3 other diners) and offered them all complimentary tea/coffee/dessert and we were not even offered water. And I had indicated it was a special occasion on my reservation but that was not acknowledged. As a result of this service I will not be returning to this establishment.
we went as a party of 3 for dinner on a Saturday night. The place was about half full at 8 pm. We were seated immediately and the servers/owners were friendly. We ordered a few appetizers and two entrees for sharing. The lobster bisque was creamy and not salty. It's flavourful and delicious. We ordered a small caesar salad and a large lobster salad. Nothing special about the salads and not much lobster meat on the salad. We all liked the beets in the lobster salad which was sweet and refreshing. The lobster spring rolls were surprisingly light and not greasy. The fried calamari was a bit greasy though. The 10 oz filet mignon was ok. The seafood pasta was the most disappointing. We knew that the lobster tails (we added one extra tail) were frozen but it was tasteless. The scallops were a bit salty and the tiger shrimps were just ok. The pasta was a bit overcooked and not al dente. The sauce was creamy and tasty though. Probably the fresh lobster meals would be better options to order, but we didn't try it. I would return just for the appetizers since I really like the bisque! We paid $200 with taxes and tips (no drinks).
The boiled lobster tasted really fresh and good.
Found the restaurant originally on Trip Advisor and booked reservations through Open Table. If lobster is your favourite dish this is the place to go. probably the best lobster restaurant west of Halifax.
Great service! Yummy lobster!
Better than lobster trap and the owners were really friendly
Loved the Greek salad, calmari and lobster tacos! Good everyday casual dining option Uptown.
The food was definitely fresh, and the service was friendly and helpful. The lobsters were as ordered, and were split for those who ordered whole lobster. My seafood linguine was terrific, even though this is a non-Italian spot - the serving could have been enough for two, the pasta was fresh and al dente, and all the seafood was ultra fresh.
A couple of criticisms: the fried calamari serving was kind of small, and the sauce for my mussels appetizer was extremely salty. I would have preferred a garlic white wine or even beer sauce.
This was one of the best meals ever!!
The lobster poutine hot dog is awesome. Half price lobster Wednesdays aren't really worth it because you don't get a side and you have to order an app and a drink for each lobster ordered.
Too expensive, but still tasty. I would say that it is more rational to spend the same amount of money on dining in upper-scale downtown restaurants.
The owners were so attentive. The food was incredible. Truly the largest lobster menu this side of Atlantic Canada. The kids loved it!
The service was very friendly and after a cold walk from our car to the restaurant, the warmth of the place was incredibly inviting. The food was delicious and the portions were quite big. We had the lobster bisque and lobster poutine that we shared as a family of four and it was the perfect size. The food was really good, especially for the price. We would definitely go back again. I also recommend trying the lobster poutine with a little maple syrup.
