We arrived early in the evening on a Wednesday. A 5:30pm reservation for what ended up being about 20👀. I came for my 35th birthday and with it being in the middle of the week, I wanted a place where I could eat good latin food, dance, and get an early start since I had work the next day. All my nieces and nephews came along with my two children and they loved the salsa lessons. Ages 3months to 68 years old had a great time. The octopus with potatoes is heavenly, the scallops were perfect. The shrimp tacos were delicious. The skinny margaritas were a hit and had us all ready for work the next morning. I had a BLAST. Thanks to our server who was STELLAR and the dance troupe was friendly and engaging! Handicap accessible and for a moment I was on a huge family vacation...
It's a cool place, probably unique in its own way in the Atlanta market. Food is good, music is extremely loud, but it's probably supposed to be that. Looking forward to going back one night for the dancing parties.
10/10. Great time on a Friday night. Octopus was outstanding!
Great food and dancing! The live band is fantastic! We love going on Wednesday nights for salsa classes and dancing too. Saturday is just a larger crowd. Great time!
Still the premier tapas restaurant in Atlanta -always a fun place to enjoy great food and drink.
Excellent tapas! Waiter was prompt and courteous. He got us out in time for our concert at the Atlanta Botanical gardens.
We has a great night with friends! The place wonderful
Loca Luna was wonderful. Our waiter, Dusty was awesome and entertaining for my 21st birthday. Robert, taught four impossible women to teach how to dance and we all had a blast!
Ronnie was my server and he was wonderful to our party that kept growing. Thank you!!!
The food and service were both great!
First time trying Loca Luna and it was phenomenal. Everything was great. Food was perfect, had the best waitress, Ashley, and truly enjoyed ourselves. Will definitely go back.
The patio was perfect! I’d forgotten how lovely this place was.
Didn't get any food.. kitchen was closed
Great energy, food and Jamie the bartender is the best!
It was a fun birthday experience, I server wasn’t as attentive as me and my guest would have liked but he was friendly and surprised me with a round of shots.
We were 4 couples celebrating our anniversary, everything was great, just a little problem around 1 am when a group came in smoking next to us and my husband had to tell them to go to the smoke zone, they were not happy , other that Loca Luna is a great place still
My wife and i had a great time with our friends. If you come around 8:30 the love music starts and after 12 it’s a club It’s amazing
A fantastic spot for tasty bites, wonderful music, and SALSA DANCING! The ambiance is beautiful and the dance floor is generous (although it does fill up later at night). I had a great time and I'll be back!
The food and drinks were great but I was very upset the next day when I look over my bill and saw that I was over charged a lot. I could see if it was a small error on the bill but this was bluntly malicious! I had items on my bill that I know we didn't order and I felt like the waitress took advantage cause we were drinking and celebrating a birthday. That's very dishonest and down right wrong for her to do that.
It was fun but since it’s free to get in it just gets way to overcrowded. They need to put a limit on the amount of people who can be on the dance floor. We had two couples literally pushing everyone and hitting everyone and security did nothing. I understand having fun but when it’s crowded like that no one even has fun.
The food was delicious and service was pretty good. We were just a little taken aback that during brunch they put on very loud “club” music.
Very nice atmosphere. Our food came really quick. It was very tasty. Would definitely come back.
This was a great experience! I have never been to loca luna and it was great. The only thing that I was disappointed in was the food. I was expecting chips and salsa to be served (at no charge) and an entree. I had a small empanada and was still starving when I left. We had to go somewhere else to eat because we were still hungry. Other than wanting more food, it was amazing. I would definitely come back after I ate a full meal before hand! The vibe was really cool. The people were extremely friendly. The waiters were alert.
Went here for my Birthday outing . I wanted an authentic Latin experience When we arrived we were probably seated it was not overcrowded. there was no live band at the time that was designated.I was looking for a hot Latin instructor to lead the salsa classes but there was an elderly woman teaching these classes which killed the whole vibe for me. The tapas weee not tasty and overpriced. This place is basically a neighborhood bar which is fine but again way over priced. The servers were less than enthusiastic. To end Experience as we were exiting the patio there was a pungent odor of garbage.
Great music! You should check this place out. The food is good, but the portions are too small. Overall , this place has a great ambiance!
It was great! Our waiter was awesome and answered all of our many questions.
Had a fun time here and the food options are great! Lots of different dishes depending on your mood. My favorite was the loaded chicken burrito! They had a live DJ playing EDM on a Sunday, would have liked the DJ to play Latin music because of the menu/venue theme. Fun time and would recommend this place for brunch once again!
Server was horrible and then he did 22% autogratuity, on our total bill AFTER tax. We only had 5 in our party plus a baby in a high chair. Had to ask 4 people for creamer for coffee. Food was excellent though.
Weve been to Local Luna before and always had a great experience. This one wasnt - but was our first time for brunch there. Place was not crowded but they could have been understaffed and definitely with it being a late night joint, maybe the servers were a bit tired. Nonetheless, service was very slow, food wasnt great - nasty eggs - but the crab cake benedict was pretty good as was the breakfast empanadas. Server worked with us to take off items that were added on and not ordered, but even the menu was changed from what was online for brunch - missing a bunch of items (biscuits and gravy; blueberry pancakes; fritattas (sp?) and it wasnt a "Mother's Day" change either. Overall still good ambiance, but wont be going back for brunch...
My parents came to town and me and my husband met them for dinner inside on the dance floor at Loca Luna to watch the band and eat. Our server, Oliver, was very attentive and the bartender, Matt, was so friendly and helpful. There was always someone available to clear our plates when we were finished. The food was quick and delicious. The band was awesome. The new manager, Eric, even came over and spoke to our table. We had a great time.
Had a great time. Good food and music. I'd recommend to a friend.
I've gone to Loca Luna many times before. I love the Tapa's and I love the atmosphere and music! Very lively!
I made a reservation for 10 during their Sunday brunch for my 29th birthday. I also asked to be near the DJ. At the last minute, I had extra guests and they accommodated me :) The food was amazing, their new chef makes delicious food. They even had hookah and bottomless drinks. Our server Tania was super sweet and took great care of us. Aisha, the bartender, also made sure we got a round of birthday shots :) Finally, a surprise - the DJ called me forward to break open my own piñata!! It was super fun and now my friends and I want to make this a monthly thing. Big thanks to the manager, Yobi, for making this extra special.
Great experience!! Our server was outstanding and the staff was able to accommodate our late arrival and brunch was Awesome.
The food was great the service was good. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The chicken empanadas qwas amazing and the mac and cheese was to die for. Service was well-timed and friendly, there we not great selections on frozen
drinks or non alcoholic drinks.the prices were affordable. Great date night overall.
I've visited Loca Luna on several different occasions but this was the first time that my guests had ever been and they really enjoyed themselves.
Loca Luna was an amazing experience! They were so fun and efficient. All of my friends said how awesome the food, band, and restaurant vibes were.
I would recommend however, would make it clear on your website on whether you have to reserve inside or outside and you have a 2 hour limit. It was my birthday Celebration but we were told we had to be out by 9pm...very disappointed
The hostess was nice and approachable. We were accommodated with seating quickly . Our server was friendly was was not engaging or checked on us. We spent most of the day looking for her and waving her Down.
This was our first time, not sure if this was how it supposed to be here. After placing our food order the food came out 1 at a time , for example: The waffle came out, then 15 mins later the bacon, then another 15 mins the crab cake. MY husband ordered French toast he only got crab cakes she never came to check on us when the food came. My friend got his waffle then right as the check came his bacon arrived and no apologies for its late arrival just the plate handed to him assuming hey we made it so you pay for it now!? We had sat there for a long time waiting for forks and utensils AFTER our food arrived. SHE NEVER bothered to explained the food list or like most restaurants ask if it was our first time. The non alcoholic drink was never refilled everything was SLOW AND WE WERE AFRAID TO ORDER MORE FOOD BECAUSE it would have taken forever or came out wrong. We tried to get help from the food runners and they were rude and replied “we can’t do anything kitchen is behind” OVERALL, NICE FUN ATMOSPHERE. Service was terrible & SLOW. We didn’t feel welcomed. THE DJ AND ATMOSPHERE SAVED this review.
