   Nice atmosphere with good variety of choices on the menu from appetizers to entrees. Portions are liberal but not over indulgent. Just the right amount! We enjoyed the dinner out!

   Haven’t dined since pre-pandemic and it feels like they are back even better than before. The burger was the best I’ve ever had. From scratch fries and bun made it over the top. It felt like the BOH staff really cares about the product they are serving. Prices reflected that but if I feel like if the people preparing the food also care about the quality I am fully prepared to pay for said quality. The server was sweet, knowledgeable and super cute/funny with my 9 year old. Will definitely be back.

   Went with another couple to celebrate a couple of job changes. We had a very nice dinner. Service was excellent and the food was very good. Definitely will be going back for another special occasion.

    Had reservations on Valentines Day at 6:00 and then go to a concert a block away at 7:30. By 7:20 still only had appetizers and salad with no other food in sight. It was crowded but we ordered from the Prix Fixed menu thinking that would be efficient. Spent an hour and a half sitting almost on top of the two tables on each side of us. Not a fun evening. We paid our bill and left. Pretty expensive for 2 appetizers and 2 salads.

    The Tables were so close together. I felt like a group dinner instead of a romantic dinner. However, the food was incredible!

    I was looking for a place to take my UK student for breakfast. I wanted to reserve a table near campus. We were seated immediately, and service was quick. We ordered the board to start, and everything on it was fabulous. It had pimento, ham, egg salad, pickles, etc. It came with delectable biscuits and crackers. I had shrimp and grits. They were not traditional, but included mushrooms and nice brown gravy. Very tasty. My son had steak and eggs and loved it. My husband did a burger, and said it was very good. Eating out has gotten very expensive, and this was not inexpensive, but the food and service were good. It's pricey for breakfast food, but we enjoyed it. I would go again.

    My husband and I have eaten at Lockbox three times in a week. Our food has been consistently delicious, all of the servers were extremely knowledgeable and kind, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. The Steak Frites are to DIE for! The only disappointment I encountered was the behind the bar customer service and the cocktails were just okay.

    Our first visit since before CoVid and we had a delightful meal. We split the wedge which was different than most with a Russian dressing with a hint of anchovy, topped with crab. This made for a tasty salad. We both ordered the char grilled cod which was cooked perfectly. The accompaniments were delicious and all sang in harmony with the cod. Staff were all excellent!

    Lockbox has a very impressive bourbon list and our appetizer, vegetable and cod entree were very delicious. However, the strip steak was poor. It was cooked as requested, but had so much fat and gristle that after I could not chew three bites, I set the knife down and gave up. The steak was the most expensive entree and this cut should never have been served. We were there for New Years Eve and stayed at the hotel so let bygones be, well, bygones. I think many other items on the menu are quite delicious. And don’t forget the Boubons!

    First let me start by saying all the food that we ordered was good. I just wish there was more options for main courses or at least a steak that did not involve fries. The menu over all was just kind of odd. The desert we had was the olive oil cake and I could not tell if it was good or not, it just did not have much taste. The space is nice and the staff was very attentive. I just think current menu needs some additions or tweaks.

    We had one of the best fine dining experiences in Lexington recently, at the Lockbox. Our meal was a very pleasing culinary experience. The service was excellent thanks to Ruby who also answered all of our questions with ease. Ambience was lovely. Noise levels allowed for easy conversation. We will be back! Our kudos to the chef and kitchen staff. Well done!

    The eggs Benedict was amazing, not too heavy and the biscuits were perfectly cooked. They don’t have a massive brunch cocktail list but the bar was able to make regular drinks as well.

    Arrived for reservation at 10am before a noon tipoff at Rupp Arena. At 11:20 we still didn’t have our food. I had to ask the server for our check in order to not be late to the game. Brought our check and paid for the Bloody Mary and mimosa that we had then went to the game hungry. Even though we did order and drink those, I thought they probably still should’ve been comped considering everything else. Not to mention the table next to us arrived after we did and had their food for probably 45 minutes when we finally asked for our bill. There were only two of us and all we ordered was a salad and a frittata. At no point did a manager stop by to help and/ or explain the delay. They did give us a free banana bread during the wait, but neither of us are sweet breakfast kind of people. I don’t live in Lexington, but if I did I wouldn’t be back.

    The food was good, the cocktail I had excellent but everything was pulled down a notch because it was freezing in there. I had to eat with my down coat on. Even waitress was wearing a wool scarf.
