Great time. Love Longfellows. Server was nice, food was really tasty and the environment was pleasant.
This is one our go to places. Last night will make it continue to make it one of our go to places. The positives; young energetic staff, eager to do the right things. 3rd floor location…nice. Service was on point. Pace was good. Both soups were outstanding and the entrees were good. The negatives; my prime rib was very good, but how they do their Au Jus is odd. It was thickened and not too flavorful. The potatoes (whipped), were good but not hot enough and looked “rationed”. My wife’s filet was also good, but definitely rare, not the MR she ordered. Both entrees were acceptable enough so we didn’t send back and we ate 100%.
5 stars. It was excellent and our waiter was fabulous. Loved the experience and food was awesome
Beautiful place . Server was good but couldn’t hear him through the mask. I got the filet which was good. My fiancé got the ribs and was so disappointed. He told the server that they had alot of cartilage, he even choked and the server didn’t do anything about it . Took a long time for food we sat at 6, appetizers came at 6:50 and dinner was 10min or so after but there was a wedding there so we understood . First time eating there . Chocolate torte dessert was delicious just want my pregnant self needed.
The service was fantastic with our server being informative, professional and attentive.
All food from the appetizer to the
Seated next to a very large retirement party... disappointed
Nice venue, good service and food, a pleasurable experience.
Great atmosphere and service! The food is usually excellent but I ordered the vegetable risotto with salmon and didn't really enjoy it. It was lukewarm and too many onions. My son had the ribs and they were great. I also had the onion soup which I enjoy better with regular onion, not sweet. All in all love Longfellows and will always return.
Large portions. Fish and chips delicious and huge. Trio seafood outstanding. Sliced Pork terdeloin special wonderful.
This seems to be an ok restaurant. A place to go where everyone can find something they might like in the menu. The food was fine but not great. The prime rib was barely warm. I might try having a luncheon there rather than dinner.
We have nothing but one of the best in Saratoga County NY, as being a local review and enjoying dinner here for many years, Longfellows is one to put on your list of where to enjoy great food, service and ambience, and once the winter sets in the ambience gets better, to Kim the hostess and Chris our server we say you are always at your best
Great food, great atmosphere, and great service!!!
As always food was delicious. Always enjoy the atmosphere
We had a lovely dinner at Longfellow’s on a busy Friday night. Noise was a bit high, lots of people passing by our table to be seated, but our waiter, Aidan (sp?) made up for the inconveniences with his attentiveness.
The restaurant was also juggling a wedding reception, regular reservations, and walk ins... they managed to serve our meals in a timely manner. Kudos to them!
I don’t want to
Service was incredible, even with multiple events and large parties happening around us. We have spent almost ten anniversaries here. We love it!
Filet was excellent! Had a wonderful server as well!
After many years of dining here at Longfellow, and dining here 1-2- times a month, its one of our favorite places for all the right reasons for a night out for dinner
Linda & Bill
The filet au poivre was a bit under-cooked. The problem with the short ribs and pasta entree is that it had a strong flavor of vinegar. It would have been tastier with some spice and/or red wine. The service was outstanding.
The quality of the food, temperature and misinformation on website was terrible
Always nice to return to Longfellows where the service is friendly and the food is reliably comforting.
It was noisier than I expected on a weeknight, and I was conscious of being in a crowded room (in the basement--which is cozy but tight) with everyone in the room maskless. I was wishing we had all been checked for bing vaccinated...
Sometimes we are put in a very quiet room to the side of the ballroom on the first floor and that is always ideal quiet.
Very nice atmosphere. Tasty food. Excellent service. Aden, the waiter couldn’t have been more helpful.
This is a restaurant with a tavern feel and is adjacent to a hotel, very near the race track. We had a very good server who was careful with gluten and dairy allergies. The food was well prepared, although they only offer one vegetable-- green beans.
Had a great time! Very friendly and clean atmosphere. Food was outstanding at the restaurant!would def recommended!!!
Excellent food and service as usual !
Waitress was phenomenal, very accommodating and pleasant. Food was amazing, one of the best French Onion Soup we've ever had. Definitely a place to dine while in Saratoga Springs.
Excellent service great food the waitress was amazing thanks for a great night out
Server seemed overwhelmed with 5 tables. Waited for everything. A table of four arrived after we did had another server and had cocktails, dinner and dessert and left before us.
Our waitress was very good and my wife and I both enjoyed the meal. We were seated downstairs and it was not very loud at all. I would definitely go back again.
The prime rib and lemon chicken entrees were delicious. Even the sides of mashed potatoes and wild rice were excellent. The green beans were properly cooked through which they don’t do in most restaurants. Our server, I forgot her name, was wonderful even though the restaurant was extremely busy. She was working in the 2nd to the highest level near the “bridge.” Bar drinks and chocolate mousse were on point. The atmosphere is beautiful!
Restaurant has so much character. Our server Paris made our first experience here even more enjoyable
We checked the box that it was our anniversary- which seems pointless as nobody recognized it until we mentioned it. We also asked for a quiet area of restaurant which considering it being a Friday night in August in Saratoga was not possible. The lowest level of the restaurant is very loud with no sound dampening.
Some people were just too loud. Other than that the service and food was excellent. Our waiter, Aiden was terrific and very attentive.
Great service and great food!
Second time dining at Longfellow !
First time we sat in wine cellar! Loved the ambiance! Last night sat up stairs !
Food delicious as always ! Service a little slow but we understood
Great find. We were seated in a very private small round room. Our server was Keenan. He was fabulous! Ask for him! He was extremely busy & he never stopped making sure everyone was accommodated. We ordered the calamari appetizer. It was delicious. Cooked perfectly with the right amount of peppers & drizzled with a very tasty balsamic vinegar. Our entrees were the filet mignon & a NY strip steak. Unfortunately the NY strip was presented over cooked. It was replaced in a very timely fashion & sorbet was brought to the table while we waited for the steak to be prepared. Filet was very good. We were given a free dessert due to the error in preparation of the entree. We chose a carrot cake. It was also delicious. This restaurant knows how to treat its customers! They were beyond accommodating & very pleasant throughout our meal. Again, ask for Keenan….you won’t be disappointed.
The food was good. We were seated in an auxiliary dining area which led to the service tailing off after the appetizers. Salads and soup arrived 30 plus minutes later. Then, food runner brought out dinners and placed at service station. I went over and brought them to the table. The server did not come back right away and therefore, the dinners would have sat there.
Stake had no flavor, ribs were way to Fatty and food was not hot
We have dined at Longfellow's for many years when visiting Saratoga Springs, missing only 2020. When returning this year, we found that there had been a change of chef, and several of our favorite menu items had been eliminated. Other than the french onion soup, we were quite dissappointed in the choices as well as the entrees we chose.
Food was excellent, service was outstanding (thank you Aiden!) Such a quaint place, we will definitely be back!!
fantastic food great service drinks were perfect service was exceptional. calamari was fantastic different than i have ever had crab cakes great sauce made the dish. prime rib one of best i have ever had. clean clean clean
