I treated my parents with steak dinner since this is the first time they visit the United States after I moved to SD. Our servers are very patient and kind and we didn't feel rushed in any sense when I needed a bit more time to explain things to my parents and translate since my parents speaks very little English. My parents enjoyed a delicious dry aged ribeye and me and my partner enjoyed our filets.

Yes, we recommend. Visiting from out of town and searched for a good steakhouse. After reading reviews of multiple restaurants in the area we decided to go with Lou & Mickey's Steakhouse. It did not disappoint! Steak, seafood, sides, desert, and drinks were perfectly prepared and presented. Staff was professional and our waiter was knowledgeable. If we come back to San Diego we will definitely be back to Lou & Mickey's.

Server was awesome! Great customer service. Food overall was delicious. Only disappointment was the jumbo garlic shrimp. Literally no so jumbo. Not impressed.

We ate outside on the patio which was great except there was an awful sewage smell. It definitely changed the experience. We’ve always had wonderful meals with you and great service. Maybe there was some sort of issue that night?

The meat is not close to that of comparable steakhouses. It is very hot in the restaurant - AC seems to be optional. Men and ladies bathrooms BOTH out of order (this must violate a law). Way overpriced. Nearby table loudly overheard saying Outback steak was better than Lou & Mickey’s.

I loved the service and the atmosphere of this place. The price is to be expected of a steakhouse/seafood. Since the quality was great all around, there is no complaints. The noise level was moderate, but that doesn't bug me and my partner since our conversations weren't hard to listen. Infact it added a lively atmosphere.

We have been to this restaurant once before, quite a while ago. It was very good from wicked we could remember so we decided to try it out before a concert. The server was friendly and professional. We had oysters that were good and a nice wedge salad. I ordered a medium rare filet and a baked potato. The fillet came medium. It was actually two different pieces of beef pressed together to form one large filet. At $70 I was not going to eat it. The baked potato was partly raw in the middle. The waiter was very nice and returned it to the kitchen, and replacements were brought by a manager within 15 minutes. I cut into the new filet and the manager was first to point out that it was cooked more than the first one! Didn’t even try the potato. I told the manager to remove them both from the check, which she probably did. Of course by now my wife’s appetizer that she had ordered for her meal was cold and I ended up leaving the restaurant quite hungry still. Hopefully it will be addressed with the people in the kitchen. A steakhouse should have cooks who know how to properly prepare a steak! Probably will not try it again anytime in the near future. There are a lot of other places to go for a steak in San Diego.

Very good clam chowder. I had the surf n turf. Filet was excellent. Lobster was so so. Great atmosphere, reminded me of a Chicago / New York style steakhouse. Old school. Highly recommend!

We ordered two ribeyes which were cooked just like we asked (medium and medium well). The peppercorn sauce had a bit of a bite and was the best I’ve ever had. Would definitely come back and would definitely recommend.

The meat was fantastic, but the Halibut was dry. The server was very knowledgeable and recognized when the fish wasn't up to par and made amends. Please note, all items are ala carte so it can get expensive. This was a nice place for our group of six because we were at a round table.

We had a birthday dinner here and it was great. They decorated the table. Our waitress Galyn was fantastic!!! Highly recommend this place. My husband said it was the best steak he has had. Everyone in my party loved their meal. Oh and desert was wonderful as well.

From the moment we entered the restaurant the welcome and service that we received was nothing short of spectacular!! Our waiter could not possibly have been any better at assisting us in making our meal selections and the food was 5⭐️And they went above and beyond in helping us to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We cannot thank them enough.

We love this place ❤️ We always have an amazing dinning experience here. On this day we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. They made its special by adding flowers to our Table, wishing us a happy anniversary and sending us home with a free dessert to take home and share with our kids. My hubbies steak was amazing, actually everything we ordered was!

Quite honestly one of the best steaks I’ve had, my only criticism is the tables are so close together. It was awkward with the four of us as four other people were literally 2 inches away from our table. That would be really my only criticism, a little pricey, but what you need to expect in this area. And in relation to some of the other nicer establishments, this was actually worth the money. A must visit in my opinion, order a filet medallion and a half carafe of wine ! Simple perfection

Wow! Great dining experience! Our waiter Issa was awesome! Gave us all the info on their dry aged process and how it make the meat more tender and flavorful. Wine list top notch for Cabernet lovers. You will only find 1 Lou and Mickey’s and it is in San Diego. Highly recommend and will dine there again.
