    Husband and I are from out of town so we looked up recommended restaurants. We have spent quite a bit of time in Italy so we are familiar with their food. Rarely is it overwhelmed with garlic and cheese. Menu looked good so we decided to try it. We were very disappointed. The restaurant is t easy to find and we called because gps said we had arrived. The host who answered couldn’t have been more rude. We were one street away and when we told him where we were e said he had no idea where the street we were on was. Really??? Once there he was just as rude no greeting no pleasantry when seating us. Our server was very pleasant by comparison. He served drinks and took our order, recommending the special. Husband ordered saltimbocca di vitello and 1/2 order of bolognese pasta. I had the special risotto topped with lobster. Veal was overcooked, dry, and covered in way too much garlic. The server also brought the wrong pasta for my husband. My lobster tail risotto dish was rather fishy but the lobster tail itself was cooked well. For dessert we shared a panna cotta. This was very nice. We never received the bolognese so we ended up eating what was served. While our server was pleasant, service was a bit slow and we saw more of the other servers who refilled water and delivered food than we did of our original server. When we checked the bill at the end, it turned out our server had never entered our bolognese rather he entered the wrong pasta dish altogether. My husband is 100% Italian and was really disappointed in his food. He spent the first few minutes scraping off the excessive garlic. My food was just ok. I wouldn’t go out of my way to try this again. It wasn’t worth the price and the host set the tone with his rudeness. Just not a pleasant experience.

    Such a great restaurant. My only complaint is with the parking and the valet service. They have a monopoly on all the spots near the restaurant so you either have to pay them or walk. Usually valet spots at restaurants are further away leaving at least some closer spots for guests who opt not to valet. Here, if you even try to park in a closer spot, the valets chase you down and terrorize you until you give up your keys to them.

    Great food, lovely ambience. Sat inside upper level, our female server really needs an attitude adjustment. I have always had outstanding servers there until December 2 at out 7 pm reservation. Recommend she work somewhere without people. She robbed us of the full experience. Was not friendly.

    We had my birthday celebration at Luca this year and we can't wait to go back! It's such a warm, charming spot for dinner. The service was stellar, and the meal was perfect. If you're looking for a new place to start a dining tradition, Luca is it!

    We showed up earlier than we should have and they sat us. The covered patio was really dark but the temperature was comfortable and the noise level was tolerable. The food was stellar!

    We had an amazing experience, the food was outstanding! We had the veal saltimbocca, homemade pappadelle pasta, grouper topped with crabmeat and the oracchetti. Everything was exceptional including the service. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Cleveland.

    Beautiful dinner. Food was very good. Bread was delicious. Drinks great. My only complaint would be was the noise. So loud it was comical. I would go back no doubt. Menu has a lot to offer.

    Food was delicious. We were celebrating birthdays and enjoyed a wonderful birthday tiramisu desert, plus they took a photo and provided each birthday couple with a copy in a holder to remember the evening. Only downside was we sat in outer enclosed patio area, which was fairly dimly lit and it got very noisy by the end of meal.

    I was disappointed that you have first come first serve for window table when I made reservations. It was my daughters birthday and first time at Lucas. That was not what I had expected. Not what I have experienced at other restaurants. Amber was lovely. Food was very good. A bit noisy but not intolerable.

    The food is always outstanding here. Waitress was very attentive, polite, and helpful. The lighting was a bit dim and made it hard to read menus or see food (34yr old w 20/20 vision). Overall, though, this is my favorite restaurant because the food is always outstanding and I love the wine selection.

    We had an extremely loud table behind us. Our waitress was distracted at best. Needed to ask for help from another waitress twice. Food was wonderful but honestly I left with a terrible headache. Probably won’t visit again.

    A special occasion spot. We were there for our anniversary. They took a pic and gave it to us in a card, and complimentary tiramisu for dessert. Attentive but non-intrusive service. Great views of downtown from the main room. Unfortunately, we were seated next to a lively party of ten, so the atmosphere was pretty noisy. Was not an issue on our last visit, though. Food was quite good.

    Overall, a great restaurant! Food is always excellent, and the atmosphere is great. We caught a server on a bad day which hurt the experience somewhat. But having been there 6 or 7 times, that was the first time we had a less than average server. I am writing that off to believing she just had a bad day and we happened to get a bit of fallout.

    This was our second visit after an excellent dining experience months earlier, this meal being a bit of a letdown after the bar had been set so high. We were seated in the 'extension' -- the ambiance wasn't nearly as nice, and the temperature swung wildly from steamy to almost chilly. Service was attentive and professional, though not overly warm. Beet salad and artichoke apps were fantastic. Grouper special was nicely prepared and flavorful, though the broccoli and potato sides were pretty pedestrian. The orchiette was somewhat disappointing -- a generous serving, but lacked flavor and was generally under-seasoned. We only finished about half of the plate and the waitress said that she'd box the rest, but then she never brought us the remaining portion to take (we were ready to leave and didn't want to bother asking about it). We'll likely come back at some point, but if/when we do, we'll ask to eat in the main dining room.

    I was disappointed that we were sat in the outdoor space, with hardly no lighting at all when the entire indoor space was open (with the exception of a few bar patrons). The service was ok and the food was good. We were there for a special occasion and one of the draws to this resturant was the atmosphere, sadly we were jot absent enjoy it. Just a poorly lit plastic area in a parking lot.

    I think it should be an option to sit indoors or outside. Everyone was nice but you could tell they were busy. The music was a bit much combined with the conversation at all the tables

    The food and service were excellent! When making the reservation, I indicated that it was a birthday celebration. They surprised my husband with a piece of Tiramisu and 4 forks! It was delicious! They also took a picture of our table and gave my husband a souvenir birthday card! The only disappointment was that we arrived early, just before 5 o'clock to take advantage of Happy Hour. However, since it was only held at the bar, less than 10 people got to partake! We were not allowed to purchase a drink and take it to our table. I think this is misleading on the website - it does indicate that it's only at the bar, but they should also indicate there is very limited seating. Many patrons were disappointed! I think we were about 25th in line. Fortunately, they seated us early at our table. We had a window seat and got a great view of the city at sunset. Didn't see the sunset directly, but saw colors. Very pretty!

    We had an amazing experience! The food was amazing, great ambiance, and top notch service. Our server was amazing, and took my nut allergy very seriously. He checked on our orders, and was able to suggest appetizer and dessert alterations. (We cannot recall but his 34th birthday is in a few weeks - management if you see this, give him an extra tip!). We will return for sure!
