Luckee Restaurant and Bar - the much anticipated "Nouvelle Chinoise" restaurant by culinary superstar and television personality Susur Lee.

Luckee features Chinese cuisine at its most sophisticated, with comforting and recognizable recipes of classic dishes and dim sum for the culinary traditions of Guangzhou, Hunan and Szechuan regions, updated and enhanced by Chef Lee's delectable signature.

The interiors subtly blend accents of imperial red and wall-to-wall panels of dynastic architecture, with a nod to 20th century Chinoiserie.

Luckee Bar, already a favourite of locals and travellers alike, boasts themed as well as classical cocktails, an extensive wine list, and an urban vibe that is one-of-a-kind.

Great food, but small portions for what you pay. Wish we would’ve gotten more.

Very good cantonese dimsum that goes beyond the traditional. It's not cheap, but the inventiveness, quality, service makes up for the value.

Luckee's reputation boosted our expectations, and unfortunately they were not met. The menu boasted many gluten free options, and our server said two types of dumplings could be made gluten free, but all that involved was eliminating flavorful sauces and substituting wilted cabbage as a dumpling wrapper, which promptly fell right off upon trying to eat it. I have had delicious gluten free dim sum elsewhere that used rice rolls, rice paper, or soybean wraps, so this was disappointing. They also served one fewer GF dumpling than the menu advertised for the dish, without mentioning that would be the case. Overall, disappointed. It was supposed to be a special dinner with exciting GF options, but came up very short.

Not the best choice for traditional dim sum, but reasonable if you’re looking for an arty twist on some old favorites. A little too much tasted the same, with an over abundance of truffle oil.

The execution of the menu did not meet our expectations. Duck was somewhat dry. The dry aged rib eye was ordered medium but ended up well done, steamed and chewy from the presentation on the sizzle platter. Although they did comp that entree. The dumplings were pretty good. All in all somewhat disappointing

Had the Express Lunch and it was outstanding. The most flavourful dim sum and juicy, crispy duck I have had in years. The mango panna cotta was delicious and well executed. Will definitely be back!

Very fine food though menu options were more limited when compared to other Asian restaurants. The soup dumplings were delicious as were the turnip cakes and shrimp cheung fun. The tender slices of duck breast were served with incredibly delicate rice wrappers and assorted sauces. The char sui beef short ribs were almost buttery.
Our server was friendly and attentive and helped me select a nice sake. We never felt rushed and the dishes came out well spaced.
The restaurant is acoustically quite lively which didn't bother us as we were more interested in enjoying the food rather than conversing.
Ovrrall, we were very satisfied with the restaurant.

This was my third time eating at Luckee and unfortunately it has gone downhill since the last time I was there.

The Dim Sum is exorbitantly priced for what they are now turning out - dumplings without character. They sound great on the menu but after being over steamed they were very blah. Similarly the cart Dim sum, not any better than the many inexpensive options a few blocks north.

The saving grace is their signature Cheung Fun - absolutely incredible every time. I'd go back for only that dish .

We had service issues at Luckee and received our main course ahead of the previous menu items we had ordered. This was an unacceptable issue that was not addressed appropriately especially given the high cost of eating at this restaurant.

Restaurant has a great look and feels cozy. Our server, Emily, brought our attention to the signature cocktail right away. We order their old fashioned on enjoyed it a lot. Started with a basket of assorted dumplings, amazing!! Our server pointed out many must try’s on the menu and we did, this was a proper upsell and I was very happy about the service

It was ok, but not the best Chinese we’ve eaten, and somewhat overpriced.
Based on our experience of “upmarket” Chinese cuisine in other continents, I think this restaurant may have been tying to be a bit different and I’m not sure it worked.

Love Luckee! I’m there at least 3 times a month. It’s certainly a splurge for dinner but the quality of ingredients, ambiance and fantastic drink menu make it worth every dollar... Service is always stellar, food is consistent delicious; just a wonderful place to experience a very sophisticated dim sum menu.

Knowledgeable staff, lightning quick service. The dim sum was really tasty and original. Their edamame paste was super tasty. Loved the green beans. My only comment is that most of the dishes on the menu, although delicious, contain a lot of sodium. Next time I would ask the server if they offer any lower salt options.

Loved the food. Every dish was full of flavors.
Complained that the hot sake was not even warm.
They brought another pot of hot water for the sake container that made no difference.
We complained, our waitress said she would speak to the manager. And that he would make an adjustment. He obviously didn’t care that we were unhappy with their liquor service.
They made no effort to correct the cool sake or to give us a credit.
