Lucy & the Wolf
The restaurant's interior is completely refurbished, with reclaimed wood and brick walls and a wrap-around zinc bar. And while the simple and sleek look is a draw, it's all about the food.
The food and drinks have an old world charm with a new world twist. There is a definite Spanish flair to many of the dishes.
The intimate 60-seat restaurant is ideal for casual dining and drinks, where plates can be shared and friends found at the bar. From aged classic cocktails to a grilled fruit sangria, as well as craft beer and a well-chosen wine list-it's a well thought out and carefully orchestrated bar.

So, so, so good.
Great place a little loud and a bit pricey
The food is creative and inventive but inviting. Had a bunch of appetizers and each person in our party had the filet with sweet potatoes, sweet soy and cashews. Everything went together and tasted great. Don’t forget about the homemade donuts for dessert. A must have! Great food, great service and great ambiance.
Amazing small plates & Excellent service
Definitely worth a visit. Small plate menu has some unique and delicious items. Be sure to try several! The mini donuts for dessert were the perfect bite of a delicious treat!
The ricotta gnocchi with pork topped small plate was fantastic...forget the tomato skillet [tasteless], the filet dish was too expensive and flavorless [sweet potato slices not fully cooked] and the Fall 'roasted' vegetables were barely roasted, if not at all...the chicken and beef tacos were nice, but were not memorable...a bit disappointed in this experience and would have expected more flavor in each dish given the high price points...like I said, the gnocchi dish was truly spectacular and very rich in smokey flavor, but none of the other 5 dishes even measured up...wish I could say I loved the first time visit, but $115.00 later [that included the tip] for 6 small dishes, it was a disappointment
My husband and I loved this place for a date! We ordered the green beans, biscuits, pork and gnocchi and the fruit tart. All of it was very delicious. We'll definitely come back for future dates.
I really enjoyed the hand crafted cocktails and the variety in the menu.
Excellent food and attentive staff! We truly enjoyed the variety of small plates as well as wonderful cocktails. We look forward to visiting again.
We enjoy eating at Lucy and the Wolf. We especially enjoy stopping in for Happy Hour occasionally. This time we invited another couple to join us. However when we asked for the happy hour menu, we were told due to an emergency they were not offering a happy hour menu. This was quite disappointing. It seems maybe a small discount would have been nice, since that it why we specifically came at that time. and the full menu was available. Unfortunately not a great first impression for our friends. Since it is usually a good experience, we will return.
Incredible choices of unique foods.
Outstanding! Very lively on this Friday night. Had s window seat which was great. The food of course was superb!
Food was good, but no where near worth the price.
11$ a cocktail is insane and portions were tiny. Food is a Tapas style so it’s meant to be shared. But please how is a 4oz burger supposed to be shared? You can get more food in the samples at costco than you can here.
We left and went down the street.
As usual Lucy&the Wolf was a great experience! I sat at the bar as I was alone. The bartender was great and very polite.
The small plate menu is just superb! I have yet to have something to eat there that I didn’t like.
The establishment is a great place to kick back and enjoy the entire experience of being there.
We had a dinner reservation but arrived a few minutes late due to bad traffic. The restaurant was not busy as less than half of the tables were filled. We asked to be seated in an empty booth but were told it was reserved so we sat at a small table. The party arrived and was seated at the booth a couple minutes later. Five minutes later they left without ordering telling the waiter the menu was not of their liking. The booth was again available. We had not ordered and thought they would give us the choice to move to the booth we had originally asked for since it was now available and clean. No such chance. Terrible customer service.
Now about the menu; an organizational oddity difficult to sort out and dish descriptions leaving much to the imagination. We ordered a few dishes as if we were dining in a “small plates” restaurant. The dishes were tasty but frankly we weren’t sure what to expect. One shrimp dish was cold though the menu said it was charred over coals and we thought it would be hot. Another dish was warm that we expected to be cold. The prices seemed reasonable but add up quickly as you order multiple dishes to create your dinner as portions are small.
Overall, our experience for an anniversary dinner was so-so at best. We won’t be returning to this train-wreck of a restaurant.
Pleasantly surprised! Enjoyed the food, service, ambiance and value.
Carly is a friendly and highly skilled mixologist. She took good care of us!
Delicious, innovative small plates, very friendly service-
Excellent menu, perfect size small plates for wonderful variety.
Service outstanding, drinks are exceptional.
Lucy & the Wolf never disappoints. As a “foodie” and good cook myself, it is hard to find places to dine that I don’t walk away thinking I could have had as good a meal at home. Lucy & the Wolf is one of only a few restaurants that I leave wowed and happy I opted to eat out.
Love the small plates and sharing the food
Always outstanding....Great food... fantastic service.. amazing craft cocktails... Lucy and the Wolf never disappoints!
This place is different. Come for a "small plates" experience to share with friends. Not your typical dinner menu. I found the majority of the food over smokey tasting and perhaps too salty for my taste. Great corn on the cob with cheese and the fish tacos were good. Wine was a bit on the pricey side. Might try it again for lunchtime or early happy hour. Overall, it was fun.
Food portions are very small! Delicious but very small for the price.
We had a nice seat at the window and enjoyed sharing our drinks and food. Love the small plates and getting to try different things. Conversation was easy and the service was great.
Service was fine, had to flag down the server a few times. Having the bartender as server might not be the best idea. Not a lot of food for the price, and the food was just ok.
We've been to Lucy and the Wolf twice now and I must say, both times we've been more than impressed by the food and service and of course, the amazing tiny doughnuts. I think the place needs a new sign out front. It just doesn't quite fit with the vibe inside. And some nicer outdoor tables. Otherwise, it's pretty much perfect.
My partner and I went here for our anniversary. It's a tapas place, so we ordered 5 small plates to share. Unfortunately, none of the dishes were cohesive or paired well together. The food was good but not satisfying. We had cajun shrimp, deviled eggs with prosciutto, a cauliflower salad with cheddar and grapes, lamb meatballs with feta and olives, and potatoes in a tomatoes sauce. I didnt want to keep eating here, so we left and continued elsewhere for dessert.
Great food and service.
Always a “go to” place for us. Food has always been very good and service has been great.
Everything was fine. The menu was a little limited. I had a problem with no sugar or any artificial sweetener available for my ice tea. Strange. Other than that. Everything else was fine.
Great food and drinks as always. I love the menu rotation and the creative food. Everything is always prepared excellently. I have enjoyed every thing I've had here even when the dish didn't match my personal tastes. Adventurous food and excellent staff.
Lucy and the Wolf has a Great staff, great food and a great atmosphere.
We frequent L&W a couple of times a month for our weekly date night and they never disappoint! Service is always great and food is delicious!
The food was top drawer and so was the service. Lucy & the Wolf is an outstanding small plate destination!
The small plates are just right for two. Excellent food , beverages and food. I will be making this a regular stop.
Always a great experience! Consistently one of Detroit’s best dining experiences.
I am going to become a regular at this fine establishment . The service is great and the selection of small plate dishes is over the top! Try the shrimp😀😀😀👍👍👍😋😋😋
Felt more like upscale bar with some interesting food than a full restaurant. Smaller than expected- on food and space. Server was very gracious and friendly. We’d return, but not for a special occasion. Our daughter said it was very “Boujie”
