Enjoyed a second wonderful meal at UNITA and serendipitously were helped with the same waitress as our last visit, Claire. She’s exceptional with helpful dining recommendations along with tips for a good live music. We thoroughly enjoyed the antipasto, pastas and deserts. We will most certainly return.
Very impressive neighbor venue. Enjoyed the Parmesan pepper fritters and the fish entrees. Excellent service and they were very responsive to our special requirements.
Based on some previous reviews i decided to pick this place for bday dinner. Made reservations and put in a request to write a happy b'day sign on the dessert! Got confirmation and the reservation guy said they will put a candle as they don't do signs, which i as good with. At the restaurant the server couldn't give us any recommendations as he said some of the menu was new. Then when our pasta came, specially the ravioli, the size was soo small (like 4 pieces). The server never told us that serving size is small so we should order more. When we asked the server, he said it's new menu so he can't do anything but will take the feedback.. The dessert wasn't impressive either and guess what there was no candle to celebrate the bday! I just don't know what happened. It all started nice but as the evening went on the service and good value kept going down and noise level kept going up. What was planned to be a nice evening turned up to be unhappy night!
It was our first time at l’unita and it was amazing. We will definitely be back!!!
The waitress, Claire, was phenomenal.
Will be back for the the cannolis !!
A fantastic dining experience from start to finish. The food was flawless; staff were attentive, friendly and genuine; and ambience was intimate yet relaxed. Perfect for a weekend date night or a low-maintenance weekday meal. Definitely going back, especially on a Tuesday, when they offer half price bottles of wine!
Flat out my favourite place in the area. Coolest bar to hang and eat great food
Love this place !!!!
The food was delicious and the service was amazing. We were looking for a small Italian bistro – this was a perfect place to have dinner for two. We went on a Monday night and they offered a delicious prefix dinner menu & wine bottle specials.
the service was great and the food was fresh and delicious! we were not rushed at all and the pizza was very well cooked and tasty! It was also very clean and the ambiance was very friendly. I would definitely return!
Great food and ambiance, servers were very pleasant and friendly
Amazing experience! Warm reception and recognition of our anniversary. Incredibly warm service and personal service. The entire staff were engaged and supportive of one another. It felt like a very well trained and emotionally intelligent group. Thank you to the entire team for a great dinner and night out for my wife and I!
Good food in a nice setting. The service was very good -- friendly and helpful but not pretentious. The restaurant was quite full but was not too noisy for the amount of people. We will be back.
Our first time at L'Unita was a great experience. We had dinner on a Tuesday night-- which was half price wine night. What a treat to indulge in some of the amazing wines we would not have afforded at full price! I am a wine person and the list was not only extensive, but also offered some unique options. The sommelier recommended a winner and matched with the pasta, we felt like we were in Italy.
Romantic, cozy, good atmosphere, friendly staff. Made for a great birthday dinner!
Varied menu with good food and service will be back again
It was our anniversary and the staff made the night a truly special occasion. Surely a night to remember
If you want to have a great dinner and have fun with fantastic staff. This is your place.
Great wine recommended. We had a great time. Wonderful staff
This is a local restaurant for us. How lucky are we? The food is terrific, everything is fresh and good. You are made welcome from the minute you enter the door.
Great food, great service. Party of 7 and staff were so friendly and attentive to all. A cozy ambience.
My friends and I celebrated a birthday and our experience was more than exceptional! The service was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly, the atmosphere and decor was perfect and the food was delicious from start to finish!
Definitely a recommendation for a lively restaurant with exquisite Italian cooking! Thanks L’Unita!
After Giulietta sitting at the chef table we discovered that this restaurant is its sister.
We’ve walked by it a number of times living in the area and finally came in and sat at the bar.
Great food great atmosphere great music. The place is alive and backs it up with great service as well
Made another Rez on our way out and without question will be a regular here.
As a matter of fact I’d go back tonight if it was open
Food was authentic and beautifully presented. Service was attentive and friendly. Looking forward to returning.
Great server. Very knowledgable. Paired wines with our meal courses. The grilled octopus appetiser was delicious!
Always satisfied! See you again soon. Helene
Food was excellent but it was very busy and very loud, difficult to have a conversation.
Amazing as always!!
We really enjoyed our visit- first time. We had excellent service throughout the evening. Particularly good advice on wine selection. Food (antipasti, grilled pork chop, sea bream) was tasty, good portions. Will be back.
Excellent dinner and service was over the top.
Great food and the staff are always nice.
Great experience! Service excellent, the waitress was very professional! The food was very good. Everything’s was very tasty. I will come back for sure!
‘Nduja arancini was good, just a little bit over cooked rice.
Burrata delicious with the cabbage, orange and mint salad. Fresh taste.
Grilled octopus was perfect!
Pizza very very good!
Unfortunately we had to leave after cocktails because it felt very claustrophobic.
Also I didn’t appreciate the fact that although arrived promptly on time and there were several tables for 2 at the front part of the space we were seated at the very back close to the kitchen door. Then I asked to change but still seated to the next one, but not at the front. I would understand if there was a group booking but it was not the case. I just wonder based on what the bearded host at the front makes the decision.
Oh, and I did look at the menu. Everything looked average and overpriced.
Not going back. At least not until winter
I came here with 7 other women for a birthday dinner and it was excellent. The food and drinks were delicious, ambiance lovely, and service outstanding. I would highly highly recommend!!
more than pleasantly surprised! will definitely return!
Had a visit from our son who lives in LA - wanted to celebrate his birthday somewhere special. Chose L’Unita on a recommendation from friends.
Did not disappoint. The entire evenings experience was wonderful - food, service and ambience ...... everyone at our table was thrilled with the choice we made on choosing this resto. Thanks everyone who contributed to an exceptional evening.
Love it. Everything was just perfect. Food, service,
Great ambience and wait staff so knowledgeable and helpful! The food was fantastic as well. Liked the Tuesday wines half off. Our new favourite neighborhood restaurant! Michael was extremely helpful and professional and liked him confirming our reservation as well.
We had been wanting to try this resto for quite sometime, 'n R sooo glad that we did! I had read some questionable reviews about the service... But that just wasn't the case. Unfortunately, we didn't get our server's name (tall, brunette), but she was incredible. She guided us thru the menu, told us about the food specials, including the new 'Monday' forty dollar wine bottle special (it just launched the night we were there), sought the sommelier when we torn between two bottles, and recommended her fave menu items. She was knowledgeable and friendly, and visited our table often, which we liked. A lot. As for the food, we loved it. We started with olives and their n'duja arancini, which is to die for. So light and flavourful, with just the right crisp on the coating. Oh, and the cheese pull inside, is amazing. For our mains, we shared two dishes. The lamb sausage cavatelli or Cavatelli Agnello Primavera as it is properly known, as well as their 'za of the day, which was a white pizza, laden with yummy soppresatta and fior de latte cheese, amongst other ingredients. Both were great. We ended our meal, sharing a Tiramisu. It's not your typical Tiramisu, as it's much heavier and decadent than most. However, it was super delish, and the perfect end to our meal. All in all, we loved this resto. The ambience was lovely, romantic, and not overly busy for a Monday night, which made it the perfect escape for 'date night'!!
Awesome service, great food!
Great food, cute restaurant, friendly wait-staff! We had a wonderful time.
