Lupo Restaurant & Vinoteca Ratings and Reviews
This may be one of my favorite restaurants ever. The location is fantastic in Yaletown, in a quaint little old home on Hamilton street. The service was top notch and the food was unbelievable. You can not have a bad meal here. The flavor and attention to detail was impeccable. I would highly recommend making a reservation, ordering a bottle of wine and enjoy every bite.
Love this place! The food is the best and little house vibe is great.. ! Not cheap but worth it ! Would recommend for a special occasion!
we visit this lovely place once a year when we come to vancouver from seattle and every time is delightful. the food and service are both outstanding and we love the coziness of the space. we usually get to sit in the front window to enjoy our delicious meal that never disappoints. the menu staples as well as the seasonal specials have been wonderful! (the tagliarini and mushrooms with the nebbiolo are a must have)
thank you for an incredibly pleasant dining experience!
Great food, quick service, love the feeling of dining in a house.
Our experience at Lupo was fantastic. Celebrated my wife's birthday at Lupo and it did not disappoint at all. The food was very tasty and delicious. There were several items on the menu that were available for vegetarians. The service was top notch. Will definitely be back to enjoy another great meal at Lupo.
Food quality was excellent. During our dinner the ambient noise level within this historic building was much too high. We had difficulty hearing each other even though we had a table for two at the upstairs window. Because of the high ambient sound, I would not recommend LUPO Restaurant for an anniversary or a date. Some waiters seemed rushed and pressured and reluctant to talk to their guests. Our main waitress/server was pleasant. In some ways I think LUPO is an expensive dining factory, however it does deliver excellent food flavours. I hesitate to recommend LUPO to a friend unless it were for a one time only experience of authentic Italian dishes.
Excellent meal with great service. The specials were fantastic, truffles pasta with an amazing veal chop (two separate dishes).
Mike was our server and he was great - not hovering but looking after all our needs.
Only drawback was a big party seated behind us and cackling incessantly - not the fault of the restaurant.
Will not hesitate to return the next time we’re in Vancouver.
Great atmosphere, excellent food and attentive staff. Definitely will return.
Always a favourite, no bad meals.
Excellent food in a beautiful location... ravioli was amazing!
Also loved the beet salad!
We try to get to Lupo every time we go to Vancouver - haven’t been disappointed yet
Great Italian Restaurant
Very good wine list
We started with the Veal carpaccio for the second we shared the truffle fettuccine and had the elk for the main. Everything was perfect The waitress was very helpful and informative we had a great evening
I would recommend Lupo to everyone- especially if you enjoy Italian food
AAA in every way. Fantastic place. Cannot believe I hadn't been there before. Would go again Ina. Heartbeat.
Dining at Lupo is as tasty, romantic and special as it was when I first ate there 30 years ago!!
It was fantastic just a tad bit too loud.. perhaps some back ground music to diffuse the conversations
Food was great, service seemed somewhat disorganized and inattentive.
We enjoyed our meal at Lupo. The food was beautifully presented and delicious and the ambient and service were elegant without being pretentious.
Great service by Erica. We had hope for a table downstairs near the fireplace. But our table was upstairs near the window. The food was fantastic and we can't wait to come back!
It was Fantastic everything was great.
Romantic, cozy space with delicious but unpretentious menu offerings.
Food came out dry and overcooked. Service was very slow to order food
2nd time to Lupo, excellent! The food and service is fantastic!
The services was awesome. But too noisy. The owner open another bottle of wine for me and my gf because the 1st bottle the waitress suggested wasn’t good.
Went to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday before going to an event nearby. The waitress nicely asked us if we had anything after dinner and kept us on time for the event! She was also kind and the service was quick. The food was great and the portions were good too. Left the place happy and satisfied. Thank you!
I love how the setting is within a Heritage house. Staff were professional and friendly. The food was amazing and the wine list was perfect! I will definitely return and am looking forward to being satisfied once again.
Server was a little intrusive, could have avoided interrupting conversation a bit better.
Went for a special family dinner. Food was incredible - perfectly cooked pastas and risotto. Lamb fell off the bone. Rabbit papperdelle was the best dish on the table! Server was very knowledgeable about wine. Charming setting inside a heritage house. Would absolutely go back again.
Awesome food, great service. One of the best meals we’ve had in a while!
The service was absolutely amazing, complemented by delicious food. The linguine vongole was fantastic, I would definitely recommend it.
This dinner takes me 3hrs. I was waiting my main courses about an hour. So Slow and small table in the corner. I will never waste my time in Lupo seriously.
Excellent restaurant. Every course was outstanding and beautiful. Nice ambiance in a converted historic house in Yaletown. Big portions too, which is unusual for high-end restaurants. Really fast service as well. Nothing bad to say about it.
In addition to great food and ambiance, the location was perfect for the theater.
I’ve visited this restaurant several times when in Vancouver. Never fails to disappoint! Really great food and very friendly knowledgable staff. I recommend it to friends as well!
What an amazing experience.
Everything, from when we walked in the door until we left, the service and food was incredible.
Good food, good service, good atmosphere. What else could you want?
Food is always great, service top notch, great place to dine. Ran out of the two bottles of wine that we wanted, but I'm sure that is not a regular occurrence.
Food was advertised as Italian, but serving style was more French. Portions were small and overpriced, but presentation was nice and flavour was good. Expect to spend around $200 a person if you want to have a full dinner. We had 4 courses and both left hungry - had to go for a McDonald's run after dinner.
For such a great place with great food and service , the acoustics were very disturbing and uncomfortable to have a decent conversation. It was the ONLY drawback as far as we were concerned! Am looking forward to returning!!
The food at Lupo is quite tasty but not the best. The rabbit for my tagliatelle was overcooked and somewhat dry. The ambiance of Lupo has always been constrained by its architecture and that hasn't changed.
Amazing service and phenomenal food! Love the atmosphere here.
Nice comfortable with pleasant and attentive service people. Our only objection is the excess salt added to the meet products
