Service and quality is consistently good at Madison's Grill. I personally find the new menu a bit limited but the quality of each item is excellent.
Great experience for the most part. Was disappointed at the serving portion of the beef ribs. For $30, I was expecting more. It was very tasty - well done - unfortunate that the serving was small. The rest of the dining experience, including your recognition of my wife's retiring from work, was great. Thank you

The staff was amazing. The server, Solomon, was an absolute gem! The manager even came to introduce himself and ask how everything was going. The food was 12/10. Delicious and a great portion size.

We love coming here. They have done a great job following the new standards. The service is always great. The food - no complaints. Location is downtown, parking can be a problem sometimes. It’s always super clean.

We went for Father’s Day. We have been here many times pre-Covid. They had just reopened a few days before and seemed to be still getting used to the new normal. We felt quite safe. The social distancing was good. There were a few things we did not feel were quite up to standard. The hostess had her mask on only over her mouth. She did not have her nose covered however our waiter wore his mask correctly. They put salt and pepper shakers on the table. Are those cleaned after every use? We have been out to other restaurants and they just brought the pepper in a small side dish. We would go back.

It was my birthday on the table we first had was right by the door going to the outside bridge kept opening and closing constantly didn’t appreciate that then we asked to be moved and we moved to a table by the window which was much better the service was pretty small we waited quite a long time for dinner and then when we got dinner the fish was very dried out and overcooked
My dinner was fettuccine with the chicken and I found out the fettuccine was way too rich the sauce was very buttery I really couldn’t eat it I just left it I was a little disappointed in the menu I thought they would have a little bit more to pick from
We had the six course tasting menu: Salmon Cake, Gnocchi with wild mushroom, Duck wings with bourbon glaze, Steelhead trout with carrot puree/potato, Striplion, Cheesecake with strawberry sauce. We also ordered 2 cocktails: Dark & Stormy and Old Fashion.

The food and service was very good. Patio is nice but the street noise is loud, but you should expect that as it is near Jasper Ave. I just wasn’t aware where the patio was situated. Lovely night!
Overall everything was excellent as always. We sat on the patio and unfortunately the traffic on Jasper Avenue was quite noisy (read big ugly trucks and motorbikes with straight pipes). There isn’t much that the Union Bank Inn can do about that except maybe put pressure on the Downtown Businessman’s Association to lobby the City of Edmonton to act on the noise bylaws. We see noise meters around the city, but are any of these Neanderthals receiving meaningful fines for ruining the streets of city for those of us are over the age of ten? It would

First dinner out since the beginning of March. The menu seemed trimmed down but there was still sufficient choices and dinner was delicious. The service was also spot on. Overall a very enjoyable first night out in quite awhile!

I had the bison short ribs. The dish was fantastic. The ribs were tender and flavourful. I ordered the side of chimmichuri which was also good. I was intending to order dessert but was satisfied with just the entree. The atmosphere is perfect for a romantic date or a get together with friends. Would definitely go back!

The ambience is fantastic but the food leaves MUCH to be desired … not worth the sticker price. Go somewhere else if you're looking for good eats … very mediocre. To give better perspective, the seafood pasta dish I had was $36 and I think it was worth $20 tops. My spouse had the pork chop dish and it was $42 (I believe or more) and it was $12 (highway diner quality). Not at all happy with the food. Service was okay but we had to wait for our cocktails until AFTER our wine came!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From start to finish, everything was superb, customer service, ambiance was nice. We celebrated our 10 yr anniversary this past weekend and everything turned out amazing. We did do the 6 coarse dinner, schedule 2.5-3 hrs for this, i had read in a previous comment that was made so we scheduled for 3 just in case and was on point.
Would recommend this restaurant, and we will definitely be back for the regular menu at another time.
So worth trying if you haven't, thank you so much.

First time at Madison’s Grill for their special NYE six course dinner and can I just say this restaurant deserves a thousand stars out of five. Servers and hosts were so polite, accommodating and warm, and our waitress was so bubbly and kind it just made the night all the more special. The restaurant is small but it isn’t cramped at all- in fact, it’s quite roomy but the ambiance is cozy and so inviting. And the food is something else. The NYE dinner was delicious and wonderful it’s hard for me to even express how good it was in comprehensible English. So many creative, vibrant, unique and well thought out dishes with many different textures and flavours that compliment each other so well. We will definitely be back, this is such a classy place! 2020’s off to a great start- if this night is an indication of what’s to come in the next decade, I can hardly wait!

Wasnt too happy about the service, felt pretty ignored. Quiet disappointed. However the food was excellent, especially the scallops and the bison as the texture were soft and rich in flavor. - plan 3 hours+ for the $99 tasting menu.
