Maggiano's - Perimeter
But not for a large group - our table was way too small and the restaurant is very noisy
My high school class mate and I had not seen each other in 50 years. We reconnected in 2013, by sharing an incredible lunch at Maggiano's in St. Louis, Missouri. We wanted to recreate that experience at the Georgia Perimeter location. The service, food and surroundings were exactly what we expected. We will certainly return again and recommend Maggiano's to our friends.
I usually come here, but Saturday was not a good experience for me. I tipped my waiter 20 bucks for poor services. He disappeared. We seen him when he took our drink and food order, then afterwards we couldn't find him. This was my daughters 17th bday and I paid 160.00 for poor services. The managers and other staff members ended up getting our order out.
Maggiano’s is one of my favorite restaurants. I enjoyed the food and I had a great waitress. Perimeter is a very busy location though, so plan ahead or you will be waiting an hour or more for seating.
Good food and great evening
Our waiter, Justin, wasn’t great. Several times to remind him about bread. Took time to receive our meals and I had to wait about 10 minutes for my eggplant parmigiana as my wife and friends had their meals already. At the end of dinner I gave Justin my credit card and that took a good 10 minutes as well. Not acceptable!!
The service was outstanding and food was excellent we went on Saturday early evening and the location was packed with families celebrating birthdays and pre prom attendees so the noise level was very high. We normally go out during the week so we should have anticipated the crowd
I love the look of the place , but the food is a little to basic for the price .
Really price and good food. Always happy each time we go.
What delicious meals my husband and I had. I chose a lighter fare option of Shrimp Fra Diavolo which I previously ordered at the Cumberland location. Delish. My husband chose Chicken Francese, a large portion, and enjoyed the take-away for lunch 2 days later. The server was very attention, but not hovering.
This was my first visit to the restaurant and I must say I am disappointed in myself that it was my first visit. the food and ambiance was superb. I felt like I was in Positano celebrating life. Thanks for the experience. I will be back!
I went to celebrate my son’s 26th birthday with family and spent over $300. I made reservations ahead of time and advised that we were celebrating a birthday. Other than confetti being placed on the table, we literally sat and watched the staff bring complimentary cake and candles to everyone one else celebrating a birthday, except them acknowledging my son. Our server must to have been a new employee because she was not knowledgeable of the menu and hardly ever came back to check on us. In spite of, I ordered desserts for everyone and still tipped my server very well. I just wish the experience had been better.
Food was great. Shane was a pleasure and took great care of our needs. Really went above and beyond. Host did great by himself on a sat night. Poor kid held himself together so well amongst a angry crowd at the front door.
Our reservation time was not honored. Tolally disorganised at the front desk. We took a table in the bar, and had to do our own clearing. The manager was avoiding all concerns. Once we got a waitress things were better, however our salads and dinner came out 3 minutes apart.
We will give them a time out. 🙁
Horrible waiting experience! What a sh*t show!! One host. No point in making reservations here. Still waited 45 minutes our table.
Great food, great customer service.@ We like the buy one take one home deal! We will continue to eat at Maggiano's! Look forward to the next time we dine out!
Just took a long time
Food is consistently good. Staff is usually friendly and attentive.
Food was much better than the last time I was there but a little more expensive but worth every bite
They were not ready with a table at the reservation time. Once seated it took 40 minutes just to get drinks delivered to the table. Also the seating area could not handle the party of eleven. We, not the staff had to go find snother table to extend our seating area. Told the general manager that having just one server was not enough. He was overwhelmed with the size of our group and other customers. The general manager did nothing to try to improve the service. We ordered family style except for one person. We the family style food arrived to the table, we were then told that the individual order was out of stock. Their food did not arrive for another 25 minutes. Total lunch took two hours and forty minutes. Basically blame the horrible customer service on the general manager and being understaffed. The food was great, but a $600 dinner should have you leaving feeling good, not agitated and totally frustrated with the restaurant. Never again will I go back with a large group. They should know better to be prepared for a large group. They are in the business to serve.
Food is always delicious!!!
Long wait, but worth it!
We love Maggiano's. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is the chaos inside the front door. The line to check in with the hostess was crazy and caused a lot of confusion. We ended up making a reservation while standing in line, because we never got a chance to put our name in. Once we came back at our reservation time, it still took at least 5 minutes to get to the hostess, and then we waited 10 more minutes. We'll always come back because we love Magianno's, but I hope this doesn't happen again.
We were not seated on time, was told to arrive early or our table would not be honored for the reservation. Arrived more than 30mins before our reservation. So checked in early but we were not seated until after 7.15 which is ridiculous.
Also when I booked on open table said it was a birthday celebration ahead of time, and again when I confirmed the reservation and was told that the birthday girl would get “special lemon cookies” for her birthday which NEVER happened.
Disappointed that a party of 12/14 only had one server for the table hence two of our starters were “forgotten” about (they were taken off the bill). Feel if she had had help to serve us better the order would have been ok. Although the dishes were hot, the fettuccini was very dry, Asked for extra Alfredo sauce but never came out. Overall NOT the best experience from start to finish!
Always nice to come here. Food is always good. But still just a few bucks too much. Service was not attentable as he could of been especially being it was semi busy. Still a great experience.
We had a bad experience with our service. We were celebrating two birthdays so it was a special night. First issue everyone got their drinks except my wife. Reminded the waiter and then finally when the manager stopped by we told him and he got it. Then we all got our dinners except my son ( his Birthday dinner). Again we reminded the waiter twice!! I finally got up and chased down the manager and we finally got his dinner so late we told them to wrap it up because the rest of us were all done, even with desert. They did comp his dinner, which was the least they could do but to go there for your birthday dinner but never really get it is disappointing. Last but not least they gave him the wrong dinner as we didn’t notice until we got home.
Food was great, service was terrible. And putting 5 people at a booth was not a good experience as well.
Wait staff was not very attentive, I had to look for our server more than once who barely check in on us. Seems like everyone working there was just plain un-happy. I have dined at several Maggiano's and may again but never again at Perimeter.
We waited for 20 minutes even though I had a reservation. The waiter then failed to bring our appetizers and our drinks were incorrect. Even after all of that the waiter continued to disappear for long periods of time and didn’t seem apologetic or aware of how bad the service was. When we asked for the check he was supposed to bring our to-go orders, which he didn’t, so I reminded him. He charged us for the incorrect drink but not for the missing appetizer. Another fifteen minutes passed and he wandered by the table and looked at us quizzically, asking if we needed something else, basically saying why are you still here, and again we reminded him about the to-go orders and finally another 10 minutes later he brought them.
The server was terrible
When had an amazing lunch. Our server's were super fun and friendly but not in that annoying way. Chef Luca stopped by our table to personally check on us. The manager even stopped by to make sure we enjoyed everything. Our meal was overflowing with flavor. I cant wait to come back again.
Second time a huge disappointment. Not what it used to be. Not worth the special trip or higher price anymore. Food remains excellent but service is gone. Thought it was a fluke last year when it took 2 hours to complete the meal, but apparently it's just not the same. Seated our group quickly as it was a nearly empty dining room. Party of 6. We were given 5 glasses of water, all barely half full. Some even had ice! Got our bread. Used our 4 bread plates (party of 6) to make our own oil and spice dip for the bread. Ordered drinks. Ordered the "Marco's Meal for 2" special for each pair (Shared app, separate entre, shared dessert). Drinks came. Appetizers arrived after quite some time. Cold stuffed mushrooms (Yum!) Probably got that way waiting on the too hot fried zucchini. Had to ask for appetizer plates. Got 5 (party of 6). Asked for drink refills. (Sodas and water.) Finished apps and waited on the entre. Ordered another cocktail when they were delivered, finally received it half way through dessert. As I said, food was excellent (except the cold Mushrooms). Received desserts. 5 spoons (party of 6) had to ask for plates. (which we never got). We also had to stack our own plates to make room for the desserts as our table was never bussed. Only plate ever removed was 2 of the appetizer platters to make room for the dessert platters. When I left the table every plate I used was still there, in stacks we made. As I said, not worth the premium price or distance traveled based on service. Too bad the excellent Executive Chef is saddled with an inefficient or poorly trained front of the house. All this and we were seated right next to the waiter station.
The food was overpriced and of average taste. Best thing on the menu was the bruschetta and it was the only thing priced for its value and taste. The service was also very slow. Not on my list for a return visit.
This location is a perfect halfway place for us :) Parking is always a mess, though, and traffic is such a headache at dinner time. We have learned the hard way to always book a reservation, too. The food is consistent, generous portions, and tasty. Very relaxed atmosphere, and good servers and management is attentive when things are busy.
Great service & the food was delicious. I didn’t have to wait for a table
Service was not good
Food portions small
Have been here several times and had a great experience. Went for Sunday Brunch. The food and experience was horrible for the entire party. Chicken dry and not season/ waffles burnt. Never received one of the meal ordered. They never got the meal I ordered after 3 attempts, decided to cancel order. Spoke with the Manager on duty. Disappointing and HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE..!!!
We had an Awesome experience! Will go back soon! My mother in law loved having her birthday there
It took us awhile due to part of my party being late but once we were sat everything was amazing experience.
The service was great and made my birthday dinner special!
