Mahony & Sons - Burrard Landing
It was very quiet when we got to the restaurant because it just opened (11AM). Got a table at the back with a beautiful view. I ordered Vancouver Naan because I really enjoyed it the last time we visited a few months. Unfortunately, it was not as delicious and I was disappointed.
The food wasn’t very good. We were hoping for live music and an Irish pub atmosphere but it was very quiet and empty.
Rock on... Great time with the boys doing a Hockey Pool an untapped resource on the waterfront.....But I’m already in last place
The coffee tastes like chocolate and I’m not sure if this was on purpose or if the cup wasn’t cleaned after a hot chocolate, but it wasn’t good. The salmon benny tasted sour and I asked for medium eggs and received hard boiled. The men’s washroom didn’t have toilet paper and my boyfriend had to text me so I could get someone to bring him some. Not to mention the lock on the men’s toilet stall didn’t even lock. We also had to leave our table to find someone so we could pay and leave to find a real coffee... not impressed. Don’t bother making a reservation because you don’t need one—the restaurant was basically empty. I wonder why. 🤔🤔🤔
Great food, quick food arrival at table but the service was less than personable.
We went to see the Live music as advertised on the website only to find out that the live music wasn't coming. Not only that, when we asked, none of the staff seemed sure if the live music was coming either. All the tables were vacant and reservation was not needed.
Perfect venue in good weather. Our server was amazing and very helpful, unfortunately I cant remember her name. I didn't eat, but the beef dip (very casual food) is my favorite.
The locations of these places are amazing, in summer, the outdoor seating. 100% for views.
We saw a mouse behind our table for few times and wasn't pleasant in any way!
We went on a Sunday and was hoping to enjoy their happy hour menu. We were informed that happy hour is only on weekdays. Thankfully most of their happy hour menu items are found dispersed, with some variations, throughout the menu. Enjoyed the food, service and people watching!
Excellent food and affordable prices, was able to get seated on patio which made a nice summer night more enjoyable. Beautiful view of water and mountains. Highly recommended.
The location is great. Live music was pleasant.
Thought the food was mediocre and prefer the old menu where you could order traditional irish fare. Good place for tourists to go simply for the proximity to many tourist attractions.
Foodies may prefer to go to Chewies, Nightengale, or Miku located nearby.
Fun restaurant with incredible view of the mountains & ocean. Often have live music!
Everyone’s food at the table was the most bland, boring mediocre meal imaginable. It was FAR below even white spot quality. It was a horrible disappointment. The ONLY enjoyable part of eating there was that it was on the water. I will never go back it was the worst.
Very nice location. Staff was pleasant and efficient. Food what I guess I would call pub type food but a little better with some different flair. Have a look at the menu to see what I mean. We would go back!
First of all the hostess who we spoke to upon arrival about our reservation forgot to properly record my arrival. While dining I received an email from opentable that I was a no show for the reservation I made.
Second, we had just gotten our menu's and the server came to take our order.....when we said we needed more time and advised that we would not be ordering alcohol it took a long time for her to return to finally take our order once we made our decision.
As we were finishing our brunch we looked for the server to refresh our coffee but she was nowhere to be found. After quite a while she appeared and after another delay she finally returned with coffee but by then we had finished eating. After our brunch she asked if we wanted dessert, I asked about the selection of hand crafted gelato and was told there was only vanilla. We said no thanks and asked for the bill. After she brought the bill she mentioned more flavours (something about the shop next door) but by then it was too late.
We left disappointed.
Good bar nice view food is decent, and they have a good happy hour menu too
Came to watch the UEFA Champions League final — great !
Amazing food. Amazing drinks. Amazing location. Will come back again.
Best flatbread I’ve ever had and I order flatbread everywhere and often! Also recommend Yorkshire pudding filled with beef spare ribs. Everything perfect!
Birthday with friends k
wonderful spot to celebrate a birthday lunch and enjoy the sun, view and great food !
The level of service we received was wonderful. Our server was really sweet and accommodating, despite the fact that we had a large table and our party were coming in and out to our table. A few of us ordered caesars at the start of our meals and they were so delicious, soon afterwards, everyone else ordered one too. They gave us a large knife to help us cut the cake we brought and overall were really great. Thanks again for a wonderful time.
It was pretty quiet when we were there. Given the time of year. Food and Service was excellent. Would definitely recommend. Would be beautiful in the summer.
Fantastic food and drinks! Love the live band- made the evening so much fun!
This was our first time at Mahoney and son's Burrard. This location is much nicer than I expected for some reason. Great decor. Beautiful location , even though we had a snowy evening. Lots of touristy stuff to see and do nearby. Happy hour is a good deal, and the menu had interesting stuff too.
Thanks for the awesome dine out Vancouver menu from appetizer to main and dessert-very tasty!
Have the Braised Ribs! Absolutely delicious
Good entertainment food and service. Great location close to sky train. We drop by frequently through out the year. Highly recommend.
Fantastic patio views, great Irish decor, friendly service
Great casual dining experience. Fun place to go for a low key meal and drinks. Noise level was quite high at times. Overall, perfect place to gather.
great food and beer; we were able to have 6 people have lunch and get back to office within 1 hour
I ordered Szechuan chilli chicken as an appetizer which has a hair in it. And the remake come 10 minutes after the main course. On top of that we have to asked to get the Wednesday wine discount which is half price on wine bottle. There was zero table maintenance during our stay.
Lettuce was wilted on my salad and had the big stock end of the lettuce in it. My friend's drink arrived but I had to flag down someone so that mine could get delivered - took about 20 minutes by the time I received my drink from when my friend's drink arrived and we ordered them at the same time.
We ordered an appetizer. It was very very salty. 2 of our group could not eat it. No one came by to ask us how the food was tasting. Service was ok and we give credit to our server and her patience with us as 3 of our group arrived late. We know that can mess up the rythme when serving.
Fabulous view of Vancouver Harbour and mountains and lots of outdoor seating make this a great spot to bring out of town guests but the food quality needs some attention.
Excellent location with tasty food and not over the top prices. The only "cons" was despite booking way ahead, requesting outside table because of a special occasion, we weren't given a place to sit outside.
Good service, good location, happy hour drinks were well-received by all.
The seafood chowder was very good. Booked months ago and was given a window seat looking over Canada Place, unfortunately that was next to a very loud band. Asked to move and was moved to a dark back room with a poorer view, shame really as this was 1st visit and would turn me off visiting again and this went to the low review score
Excellent service and delicious fish & chips. Beautuful water view.
We had the dine out lunch & it was great! Food came quite quickly which was perfect as it was out during our lunch hour. The service was really good as well.
