Mahony & Sons - Burrard Landing
Fantastic food and drinks! Love the live band- made the evening so much fun!
This was our first time at Mahoney and son's Burrard. This location is much nicer than I expected for some reason. Great decor. Beautiful location , even though we had a snowy evening. Lots of touristy stuff to see and do nearby. Happy hour is a good deal, and the menu had interesting stuff too.
Thanks for the awesome dine out Vancouver menu from appetizer to main and dessert-very tasty!
Have the Braised Ribs! Absolutely delicious
Good entertainment food and service. Great location close to sky train. We drop by frequently through out the year. Highly recommend.
Fantastic patio views, great Irish decor, friendly service
Great casual dining experience. Fun place to go for a low key meal and drinks. Noise level was quite high at times. Overall, perfect place to gather.
great food and beer; we were able to have 6 people have lunch and get back to office within 1 hour
I ordered Szechuan chilli chicken as an appetizer which has a hair in it. And the remake come 10 minutes after the main course. On top of that we have to asked to get the Wednesday wine discount which is half price on wine bottle. There was zero table maintenance during our stay.
Lettuce was wilted on my salad and had the big stock end of the lettuce in it. My friend's drink arrived but I had to flag down someone so that mine could get delivered - took about 20 minutes by the time I received my drink from when my friend's drink arrived and we ordered them at the same time.
We ordered an appetizer. It was very very salty. 2 of our group could not eat it. No one came by to ask us how the food was tasting. Service was ok and we give credit to our server and her patience with us as 3 of our group arrived late. We know that can mess up the rythme when serving.
Fabulous view of Vancouver Harbour and mountains and lots of outdoor seating make this a great spot to bring out of town guests but the food quality needs some attention.
Excellent location with tasty food and not over the top prices. The only "cons" was despite booking way ahead, requesting outside table because of a special occasion, we weren't given a place to sit outside.
Good service, good location, happy hour drinks were well-received by all.
The seafood chowder was very good. Booked months ago and was given a window seat looking over Canada Place, unfortunately that was next to a very loud band. Asked to move and was moved to a dark back room with a poorer view, shame really as this was 1st visit and would turn me off visiting again and this went to the low review score
Excellent service and delicious fish & chips. Beautuful water view.
We had the dine out lunch & it was great! Food came quite quickly which was perfect as it was out during our lunch hour. The service was really good as well.
Great experience as usual! It’s our go to near the convention centre
Good food and friendly service right on the water
Great place to meet friends. Good lunch options, friendly service.
Great service and food. The only negative, although the musician was excellent is was very loud and conversations were limited.
Great window view. High chairs were a challenge. Enjoyed happy hour. We'll be at Mahoney's for a get together on December 18th in the Dublin room with more people. We should have a least 8 for our pre Christmas get together. Even though we are cost conscious your restaurant is very affordable. As we are retired we don't get downtown as much. But summer at your restaurant is my favourite time.
The platter was very appetizing. I enjoyed dinner with my friend.
The reservation was made for a birthday. Nothing special was done by the restaurant for the occasion. The quality and quantity of food was lacking. Not very impressed. Will not be back. The only good thing about this restaurant is the location and you pay for that.
Impressed with the whole experience. Our table was located in the sun with a cool breeze; our neighboring table was far enough away we could have a work conversation without worrying about eavesdropping. Several Gluten-free options. Lily Belle's Cobb Salad was delicious. Waitress was quick and efficient, provided recommendations, never hovering or disappearing. Would definitely return and recommend to others.
Salad on the menu sounded great but didn't taste as great.
Service was really good and rest of our food (apart from our salad)was very good.
Great place to sit outside on the patio and people watch or watch the float planes landing and taking off. Busy corner right on the waterfront makes it popular for lunch on sunny days. Good selection of pub food and spirits. We had mussels and an Aussie meat pie with our wine and both were delicious. Service was excellent.
The most amazing venue. Good food and service, can't beat it!
GOOD SERVICE/GOOD FOOD/GREAT ATMOSPHERE/GOOD SIZE FOOD PORTIOS/FINE DESERTS
GREAT OUTDOOR VIEWS...SHIPS AT CANADA PLACE ... AND SIDEWALK LOOKY-LOO'S
STRONGLY SUGGEST A VISIT ... I WILL RETURN SOLO OR WITH GUESTS... SUPER FOR
VISITORS TO VANCOUVER ..ALL THE VERY BEST ....CHEERS/P
This is a gem of a place. On the waterfront with stunning views of the harbour and the mountains. Greeted well and our server Cait was awesome. The food was very good as well.
We were both celebrating our birthdays so we each got a tiny candle on our desserts...so nice and thoughtful.
Enjoyed an evening out with our girls, as always the restaurant did not disappoint us. Food was great, service was superb and the view fantastic! Highly recommend this restaurant.
I love Mahony & Sons! Great atmosphere, incredible decor, amazing food, and just the nicest family run business. If you're looking for a fun, casual dining experience on the waterfont in Vancouver, check out the Burrard Landing or False Creek locations. Great summer patio experience. And then there's the UBC location if you're out that way. The Mahony brothers do a great job at all three spots!
We all really enjoyed our meals. Definitely coming back to try out other items on the menu!
We were disappointed with the food and service. Amazing location, but so many better restaurants in the area.
The day we dined, the ovens were broken which limited the menu quite a bit. However, the worst part was this restaurant does not have high chairs which is surprising given its proximity to the cruise ship terminal and the large numbers of families visiting the waterfront. My daughter needed to sit in her stroller which was pulled up to the table. Unfortunately, there was not much room to do this....especially when a party was seated at the table behind us (even though there were plenty of other nearby empty tables). The food was just ok. The potato chowder was extremely thin and water based and lacked flavor aside from the high number of leeks.
Convenient location and great views. The service was friendly and attentive.
Great location. Good variety of food on the menu to choose from. Service was slow. Had to wait for a long time for food to reach the table after the order was placed. Seen lots of staff walking around but service was still not attentive. Food was good as long as you don't mind waiting for a loooong time for it.
Our group has been to this restaurant many, many times over the years and we normally look forward to a great meal however this time the food portions were far below par for all 4 of our meals. I used to love the fish tacos - in fact Mahoney's were my favourite, but this time I only received 4 small nickel sized chunks of fish spread across the 2 tacos, the side salad was sparse; certainly not good value for a $16 plate. Two of the ladies ordered salads, again both will measly portions of chicken and greens. One salad's menu description mentioned it contained beets (great) but there was one small beat cut in half (not great). The gluten free fish taco option was a few chunks of fish on a bed of cabbage with taco chips and a few dips on the side. Again, not worth $16 a plate. After our meal when we mentioned our dissatisfaction to the server, she apologized profusely (suggested portions were lacking due to the busy time of day) and offered to get a manager but we didn't have any more time to spare. Busy or not - portions should never be so chintzy. Next time we'll take our luncheon elsewhere, lots of other great options nearby with far ample portions.
Don't bother getting the poutine. This poutine had no cheese!!!! Total disappointment. The server was fine and the scenery is awesome. Also they don't really have a brunch menu...
The best value on the waterfront. Views are spectacular and the staff are always inviting. I recommend it for a nice casual meal with no pressure or exorbitant prices.
Beware some prices are listed as "market value" (in small print beside a price) however they fail to tell you what the price is until the bill comes so you'll be in for a surprise. I wasn't upset they brought the wrong order, but the price change did bother me.
Service was very good, food good. Only issue was football on TV's quite noisy - if had realized - would not have gone there.
