    Some food was not hot!! Sushi was very good. Tempura was also very good. Service was very slow- not attentive enough. Had to ask for hot tea 3 times before it came!! Service was the biggest issue really. Overall though, we did enjoy the food.

    We had a fantastic time, food was great. But, it took a very long time to get one of our meals, everyone had finished eating when it finally came out. I understand it was busy but that was not awesome. Otherwise a fantastic time was had and we will return.

    As it was our first time, we tried the all you can eat. You order on an electronic screen and they bring you the food to your table. There are many choices and variety. We learnt that each choice you add is an individual portion so if you are two people, you need to order two if each of you want a portion. The food comes piping hot and fresh. We found the food was tasty.

    Disappointed in the service and as a customer being accused of not paying a bill. It was a big group of people and for the automatic tip was being charged was unacceptable.

    We celebrated our Son's graduation at Makimono, Ajax, having a dinner. The food was pretty good but I wasn't happy with a salmon in my Bento Box number 2. It was thin (looked like a tail part of the fish) and pretty dry. I like this restaurant and was a little disappointed with this quality of my order.

    Service getting the drinks was a little slow. And sometimes the food was a little long getting out. But on the whole, it was a very satisfactory supper experience.

    The food was fantastic. Being a vegetarian all my Life , I was having sushi for the first time and Makimono didn’t disappoint. The food quantity was perfect and taste was just right .

    Very extensive menu. Our waitress helped us pick options that we liked. Not necessarily the dinner menu but some from one area matched with the meat and veges we wanted from another area. It worked great and we loved it.

    Everything is good only, we are requesting for the room as we have small baby on the stroller but was denied even though we did not see someone occupying it.

    Rare night out with my mother. She doesn’t go out to eat often. We enjoyed our food. There were 2 items missed on our ayce order so those 2 orders took more than 30 minutes to complete. For the price I would expect better service. Staff were ok, better at the end of the night.

    The price for the all you can eat is definitely not worth it. We hadn't been there is a couple of years and it was not as good as remembered. I would recommend going elsewhere.

    The quality of food at Makimono has reduced alot. Used to get food here when I was younger, larger portions and more options. Not the same anymore

    We were promptly seated. Food was delicious and on time each order. This is our 3rd visit. Food selection is definitely wide ranging from Japanese to Chinese cuisine which is really outstanding.

    We had a private room at the front for a birthday party. The staff were only too happy to serve a cake we brought, via their cute cat robot, who sang Happy Birthday to the 4-year old birthday girl. She was beyond thrilled! They even supplied us with dessert plates and forks. Makimono Ajax is our go-to restaurant for all family birthdays.

    Food quality had went down over the years. Rolls and maki not as fresh and the hot food is either overly cold or overcooked . Bundled with inflated pricing. Unfortunately we will not be coming back here anytime soon.

    The food was excellent. Hot and tasty and very fresh sushi! They had both robot waiters and real waiters/waitresses, which made it fun. Comfortable seating and nice ambiance. I will go back for sure!

    The food was okay but I’ve had better sushi. I was also grossed out because a bug came pouring out of the soy sauce. The iPad they gave us to order food was also dirty with food stuck on it. I feel like they should be wiping those down with disinfecting wipes before giving them to customers, especially now during covid. Soy sauce bottles were also dirty.

    The food was good the hot stuff was great the sushi tasted old or like they took it off someone else’s plate and put in on ours and service was extremely slow we didn’t end up getting half the things we ordered

    Will return for lunch Dinner is too expensive. Three of us last night ( two being seniors)with one coke cost 135.00. The food was fresh and tasty. We did not have to wait for long to get our orders brought to the table .

    Over the food was good. But I found it annoying that certain item on the buffet menu only came in limits pieces. For example the calamari was two pieces of calamari so literally two rings of calamari. So I ordered to get enough for the table you’d have to order for portions for example but yet you never got the four portions you still only get half of that So you had to constantly keep ordering it. I found that annoying. There are several items on the menu that were just like this. We also got items that we didn’t order. And for the Buffay price overall which was about $40 for an adult I don’t think it’s worth it. With tip and tax I spent approximately $150 for two adults and two children and one child was under five

    There’s no point in making reservations. I waited 30mins to be seated. No acknowledgment that customer is waiting to be seated.

    Overpriced, we did ask for the special and they made us pay it. They forgot half of our order and when I asked the server she just said “oh” and never brought the rest of our order. Poor food and service
