    My date was not a fan of the broccoli, she thought it was too oily. Otherwise all of the food was delicious, we highly recommend the beef skewers.

    Work lunch with colleagues. Appetizers were delivered and with it one main course …. At the same time. Severs sere nice, bought you never knew if they understood your request. 3 requests for ice water.

    The food was absolutely amazing in my opinion, there was a wide variety of teppanyaki options and all of it was tasty. The service was really good too they were very friendly and fun. One thing I do recall though is there was a one two flies around our table and it kinda threw us off but then again it’s bound to happen anywhere. Overall a great experience and I’ll definitely be coming back!

    This is the way to eat! Portions are perfectly sized. When we placed our initial order we thought we ordered too much. But each dish comes out as an edible portion. It's not family style...it's personal style. The Dim Sum was surprisingly great and the rest of the dishes were really good too, including Teppanyaki beef and chicken, Sushi and Sashimi and various noodle dishes. We will go back.

    It's an all you can eat restaurant and as they go this is one of the better ones I think. You can order from the menu but we didn't choose this option.

    I had lunch with my friend, we had the all you can eat lunch. The service was fast, accurate, fresh, delicious and we kept ordering our favorites again and again, The hostess was very polite, joking and friendly as she came back again and again. I give her and Makimono a Five Star, First Class recommendation. They worked hard to make us feel happy.

    Horrible experience between food, ordering and service. Made a late night reservation to avoid the dinner hour rush. After drinks were delivered, waited 15 minutes before I got up to speak with waitstaff. Ordering tablet wasn't working. Server said bad reception where we were seated. Tablet was also running out of power (7%). Server had to keep coming over to look at whether or not the order was submitted, keyed in her code and food was submitted...wow! Won't be returning to this location. Much better service at the Ajax location.

    there was a robot with a cat face that brought my bday cake to me and played happy birthday! I loved this! lots of parking. paper sheet on top of linen. Food quality was not the quality I would've expected for the price: temperature roulette (tepid miso, burning hot one thing, cold other things), dried out sushi... tasty recipes tho. I loved the ACE factor and the robot, the company and the occasion: it was a Tuesday evening. Accessibility: they could easily fix the step at the front to make this accessible and I'm not sure why they don't? They have an accessible washroom. The seating was good: accessible chairs and benches... but the adorable robot couldn't get passed me because there wasn't enough clearance in the middle aisle, and I was squeezed in as much as possible. This was handled poorly. First we moved tables, but then they sat people at the table across from us and the problem of the limited aisle clearance started again. It felt like they were blaming/shaming the size of my body and if were I not aware of the fact that body diversity is real and my body exists as it is and there is nothing wrong with my body, I may have felt humiliated.

    No one gave us a tablet for the all you can eat and no one took our drink orders. Had to ask multiple people for drinks and a tablet just to place our order. Food was standard.

    Excellent service! Food when ordered was promptly delivered and fresh and warm when necessary. the server was very polite and engaging. Thoroughly enjoyed the ambience and the experience of once again dining at Makimono.

    The food was very good but over and above that, the service was amazing! Friendly staff, very accommodating and we got to crack jokes with them. It made the dining experience very comfortable and enjoyable!

    As compared to other similar restaurants, it was not value for money. The menu doesn't have details of the main ingredients to decide before ordering. The service was also just okay. I felt like I was eating on a train where the passing servers just treat you as a table and no engagement. The food was not even tasty to visit again. The vegetarian/vegan options are very limited. It's not work spending $40 on a buffet here.

    Absolutely horrible , unorganized for valentines , greeter was also waitstaff and cleaning off tables , reservation did not make a difference , it was chaotic, food was chincy like frozen food

    The food is always great. It takes a while to be acknowledged and served with drinks, and a few of our ordered dishes were missed completely, but it's probably because of the constant ordering coming from the tables. Overall a good experience, and will definitely be back, but I feel like the premium cost should come with premium service too.

    Overall was a good experience. It wasn’t that busy for a Friday night so the noise levels were good. Servers were pleasant and the food was good. The food came quickly and the reorder rate was pretty good. The price has risen quite a bit since our pre Covid visits but I think that’s the same everywhere. I would return.
