Our third year in a row at this Mother's Day brunch. Excellent selection of food that everyone expects at such an occasion. Great attentive service. Most important is that it makes my wife happy. Highly recommended by our family as we all leave satisfied. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Our evening at the Keg McGillivary was wonderful! We had to cancel our plans for Mother's Day and had to reschedule to another night. The service by Don was outstanding. He was attentive and met all our needs. The food was exceptional and well paced so we did not feel rushed. Another lovely evening at the Keg. MoreOpenTable Diner -
My sister and I often meet at Moxie's for lunch - we love the Sushi Cones! The service is always genial and attentive. It was my birthday on our last visit and a couple of the wait staff came by the table with a discount coupon, free dessert and a big sparkler - made me feel like a valued customer - well done! The view from most tables is very good of the downtown bldgs including the Human Rights Museum and other landmarks. The ambience is quaint and pleasant. The service was excellent. The French food experience was excellent. I had the pork medallions and my wife had the lamb. This was our second visit and it was excellent both times. The wine list was on the smaller side but it had good wine list. We recommend highly if expectations are for a great food experience at a reasonable price. MoreOpenTable Diner -
The only “problem” was we ended up having an additional guest and even though the restaurant was empty, we were unable to pull another table. Our guest sat at the end of our four top but it did make for a crowded experience. However that said our server was amazing at clearing any empty plates glasses etc. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Stopped in for their lunch time paella special. The food came out piping hot and remained that way throughout lunch. This was one of the best paella dishes we have had. Loaded with shrimp, chicken, sausage and mussels. The flavour was was amazing with just the right amount of spicy heat. Planning a return visit. MoreOpenTable Diner -
I had communicated with Daniel a couple weeks before our arrival regarding dietary restrictions and found him to me most accommodating. I looked forward to thanking him personally but he was not on shift that night. There will be more opportunities. Our celebratory dinner was fantastic! After being seated, our server, Joanna, gave me a couple options and I chose the lamb Sirloin with capers and roasted tomatoes, which Gee in the kitchen cooked to perfection and I thoroughly enjoyed! My husband said his salmon on creamed spinach was also delicious and cooked to his liking. Dessert, complimentary for the occasion, was shared Crème brûlée and finished the meal off nicely. Our package included breakfast the next morning and our server - Rob or Roy (sorry can’t recall), said we could have anything from the menu, including orange juice and coffee. The Healthy Start (poached eggs on avocado naan bread with roasted tomato and basil salad) was my choice. The bowl it was served in was a bit awkward to eat out of but that didn’t stop me from enjoying every last bite. My husband’s choice was the the Side by Each, which he said also hit the spot. Server was very pleasnat and attennded to our needs. Food was very good. My only concern was the location of pur table. It was pushed right into the corner, directly behind another table placed to my right. The person sitting at this table and his chair were so close to our table it made it difficult for my dining companion to get out of her chair to go to the washroom. A little more space would have been nice. I did not say anything to our server or to the syaff at the front of the restaurant though I should have. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Nice venue, great staff. Food was very good. We each started with NE clam chowder - the veggies were perfect (firm, not mushy) with good clam flavor. One of us had a caesar salad - good dressing coverage (not too much, not too little) with good parmesan grating on the top. Just the right amount. The other person had the sirloin steak with mashed potatoes and veggies. He was very pleased by the prep and flavor of the steak and potatoes. Earl's is definitely a place where you can get a reliably prepared meal and enjoy the bright, open atmosphere. MoreOpenTable Diner -
Good food. Seating needs to be reconfigured on tables for two. Needed to move to a booth because positioning of chairs at tables for 2 put the other against windows so bright couldn’t be seen. Server mixed up bills. Fast service for one guest. 5 mins later served other guest. Unusual because usually excellent service. MoreOpenTable Diner -
A great venue for our family to celebrate a special birthday(along with a number of other groups also celebrating birthdays). Compliments to the serving staff for keeping pace on a very busy evening. Our 3 year old grandson really enjoyed his "sgetti". The option of providing our own birthday cake was much appreciated. MoreOpenTable Diner -
The food was excellent. Our waiter was very good; attentive and professional. Elegant atmosphere and not noisy. Very nice evening. MoreOpenTable Diner -

Had a hankering for East Indian food and was in Winnipeg. Not knowing where to go i looked online and saw Vinnies Hot Foods. The reviews were positive and the menu had items such as puttu and dosa that i have never tried. Made the decision to go and was not disappointed! It was a wonderful experience. We ordered biryani, puttu, and fish molee. The owner put on some hindu music and started cooking in her open kitchen - it just added to the experience. As the food cooked the more hungry we got. The food literally came right off the heat to your table. The food was excellent (I would recommend any of the dishes i ordered) and the owner was extremely friendly. It was nice chatting to her and learning about her passion for cooking and of their Selkirk location. I cannot stress enough - check this gem of a restaurant out! Looking forward to coming back again and next time i will try the dosa. MoreOpenTable Diner -
The Captain’s Boil was inspired by Cajun seafood boil, where freshly caught seafood is boiled and served right away to retain its freshness and tenderness. The Captain’s Boil took this idea further by adding aromatic Asian spices to enhance the natural taste of our ingredients. By removing all the unnecessary hassle of table settings and cutlery, we make sure that the food is ready-to-eat — from sea to table. More

hands down, my favourite restaurant in the city. It's vegan friendly and every plate is a thing of beauty. With respect to the cuisine, I'd say it's more spanish asian fusion than "asian" per se. Anyway... I kinda wish they were on open table so I wouldn't have to call for reservations - I hate talking on the phone *lol* MoreOpenTable Diner -
I hosted a private event at Alycia's at the end of April. Right from the start, Colleen the manager was very friendly to work with and was extremely accommodating for all my requests (which was alot!) I first tried out their food a few weeks before the party, and it was absolutely to die for! Homecooked Ukrainian food has never tasted this good (and I am Ukrainian!) They handmade everything there - its truly an authentic experience. When I went to set the party up early that afternoon, Katy the server was SO helpful in helping me getting things set up. She served the group (about 32 people) at the party, and was quick, friendly, and went above and beyond! She even watched my 3 year old nephew during speeches. 10/10 would recommend Alycia's if you are looking for a top notch Ukrainian experience, mixed in with incredible and friendly service. Thank you all again! MoreOpenTable Diner -
Sato Asoyama is a casual Japanese eatery that has a relaxed and comforting vibe to it. The venue offers table and wooden-booth seating. There is beautiful woodworking and banners throughout the venue. Sato Asoyama is open for service from 11 AM to 9 PM, every day of the week.
