   The food and service were great. Both rose well above the so-so interior of this establishment. The simple brownie Sunday with ice cream was a wonderful way to finish off our meal.

   Chose outside seating. It felt like we were forgotten. Long wait times between ordering and even waiting for drink refills. Staff was more focused on inside customers. Food was mediocre at best.

   We had a reservation for brunch for 8. We were seated quickly and the service was very good. We enjoyed our food. I will say, the coffee was not good. It was extremely bitter and possibly burned. I drink a lot of good coffee and I know good coffee (not from k-cups, etc.). If they are a breakfast/brunch place, this needs to be improved.

   There were many time slots available on open table both before and after our reservation time we Jen we booked 45 minutes before said arrival time However when we arrived there were no empty tables. The restsurant is not properly managing the reservation system. The food was great. And the menu varied and appealing.

   The noise level during lunch is deafening, unless you can eat before 11:30 or after 2:00. The food, as always, is quite good (tuna melt, especially) but unless you scream at your table companion you can't hear. Too bad. I really like your restaurant. I'm going to try the other one on 19th Street, and see if it's better, noise-wise.

   Marathon Grill has become our go-to restaurant before attending theatre events in Philadelphia. The location is so convenient. The food is always delicious. The customer service is always outstanding. Definitely, a good place when dining out with people who have various food requirements. There's a good selection of vegetarian, gluten-free, picky eaters, etc.

    Food inconsistent: Cobb salad great; eggs Benedict poor. Quite noisy—hard to have a conversation. Wouldn’t recommend to a friend or look forward to returning.

    I've eaten brunch here twice in the past month, stopping by with a friend before a play. I always struggle with the menu because so many things look delicious, but the turkey burger was what I was craving both times, and it was wonderful. This past weekend I had the sweet potato fries, which were also fantastic, way better than the regular fries. The servers are great, and one even helped lower the sound of the background music while we were there so we could more easily chat. Highly recommend.

    Great quality food and cooked perfectly. There’s a small bar with big screen to watch sports. Def good for brunch. I highly recommend getting one of their big chocolate chip cookies for dessert or to go!

    The place was jammed with two large parties waiting, but they were seated before too long and the noise level decreased to what one would expect in a crowded, Friday night venue in Center City. The wait staff did an excellent job of moving things along without being aggressive, and the food is always good.

    Tomato bisque was stupendous and our entrees were good. But the meal was a struggle because of the loud music blast from ceiling speakers. We asked our waiter to turn it dow. Nothing. The manager was helping on the floor and we asked him to turn it down. Nothing. I, for one, like to have a conversation with my dining companion, and that was next to impossible because of the music. My voice is hoarse today from trying to make myself heard.

    After eating at Marathon for a number of years, this past visit will probably be my last. I found the restaurant area dirty, food was on the floor. As orders are filled, waiting for the server to serve patrons, the paper tickets are placed directly on the food. Additionally, I noticed the manager eating directly from the condiment tray by the food prep area with their fingers. I dont usually post comments, but I could not let these issues go by without letting other diners know.

    The omelets my friend and I ordered were overcooked and not up to the usual standards of the MARATHON Grill. I wouldn't order it again. The noise level, however, was better than usual, and the service was excellent.

    Overall, a very good dining experience. Two main complaints: the food was lukewarm and the salmon was overcooked and dry. Otherwise, the location is awesome, the service was very good, and the ambience was just fine.

    I went for Brunch on Resurrection Sunday (Easter). It was much less busy than I anticipated. I ordered the tofus scramble, which comes with breakfast potatoes. I added a side of bacon. The scramble was meh, but the bacon was perfect. I also had a guava passion fruit mimosa, which was tasty. My mom ordered the turkey dinner. She said it was "okay" but not winning any awards. I think the best part about the experience was the staff. They were attentive without being overbearing.

    My four friends and I had brunch at the Marathon Grill on Sunday. Our meals were amazing and the service very good. I had the avocado toast with salmon and eggs. It was yummy. We arrived at 11:30am and the restaurant was not crowded but by the time we were leaving, it was packed. Seems very popular and with good reason.

    Had reservations but waited 25 min, waited a long time for food, came with a small child and asked to have his food out ASAP but waitress forgot and Childs food came out with ours. Not ideal. Food was fine but nothing to write home about.

    We had a group of 12 plus on a very busy PHILLY "race day" and they handled the large group very well. Even had a manager or lead of some sort stop over and askedif things were going well which was so nice. Also the Sweet Potato fries are amazing.

    Our group ordered calamari and shrimp for appetizers. They were good. Between all of us we had baby back ribs, Philly cheesesteak, salmon, ginger salmon and Trout. Overall everyone really enjoyed their meals. Clean plate club at our table. I thought my trout was okay and the side was so-so.

    My server and the hostess were great! The ambiance is nice. I’m giving a low rating because I was seated facing the kitchen and watched one of the line cooks dig in his nose the entire time. I never saw him wash his hands or put on gloves to handle food. I was disgusted.
