We say it is the Perfect Fusion of a High-Energy Metropolis and Soulful Southern Hospitality. You'll say it's Downright Awesome! Come be a part of the dining experience and understand why we still stand strong after all these years.
We sat outside on the patio. Food and service were both excellent. We've been visiting this restaurant for years and find that it consistently offers a superior dining experience.
We celebrated our anniversary. Food and service was excellent. The prix fixe 3 course meal was great.
We absolutely love Margaux’s, wonderful food and perfectly cooked as always. We had the three course menu and it was all delicious! Service was excellent as well.
Without a doubt, this is one of my favorite restaurants. I just went for the third time, and I can’t get over how delicious every bite is each time. My husband and I went for our 19th anniversary this last time, and we were blown away with our surprise dessert. They pay attention to EVERY detail and make sure the dining experience is perfect. The food, drinks, staff, menu, atmosphere, everything - it’s all perfect. This place is a keeper.
We had a great time dining with friends. We intentionally sat out side where we felt the noise was lower.
The food and the service is always exceptional. It’s a hidden gem in Raleigh and a uniquely decorated interior. Decent wine selection and both steak and seafood are delicious.
It was our anniversary and the dinner, service, and outside dining were perfect. Marguaux's is always an excellent place for dinner and especially special occasions.
Food was great.
Margaux is an eclectic neighborhood bistro. The food is inventive and skillfully prepared. The service was professional and attentive. The ambiance is a bit eccentric but has quirky charm.
We enjoyed our dinner. The food was great, and our waiter was the best. We look forward to going back!
The food is phenomenal...it’s fresh, inventive. The chef is creative and offers great variety.
Drinks are great. And the service is exceptional.
While I do like their food and especially their servers the kitchen errored on the split plate and the ticket/cost is considerable. Steve and his partner need to consider a way to make the cost more reasonable.
Beautiful ambiance friendly hostess and food was amazing definitely a great date spot!
As usual, immediate seating (with reservation), timely and extremely courteous and engaging service, variety of menu choices that combine long-time favorites and other dishes that change regularly. The best thing, however, is the quality of the food which is always prepared as requested and is simply excellent.
Had been a while since visiting Margaux’a but from 540 north as good as you can do in Raleigh. Price fix a great value but four strands of romaine lettuce is a bit insulting no matter the price (I get it though have to earn margin somewhere). Otherwise meal was solid but please do something about your booth space. Restaurant was overbooked so we got the “skinny table”, no one in our party weighed more than 170 lbs and we were claustrophobic so for a restaurant that’s been in business for twenty years take the time to pay a contractor a few bucks and make some leg room between the table and the bench. Next time I want a $300 meal in my lap I’ll fly Delta:)
Food was decent but service was very slow. I feel like we were being ignored several times during the meal. I doubt I'll go back. It was an interesting restaurant. Maybe better to go for a drink and app in the bar area
We went to celebrate our daughter's birthday. This was the first visit for all but one of the party of 6. We were impressed by both the presentation and taste of the food. They apologized for a couple of the dishes being delayed, due to a large party in another part of the restaurant, and compensated us with a couple of complimentary desserts.
A friend recommended Margaux's to us, we have visited many times. Each time has been a very pleasant experience for us, the atmosphere, the staff, the food, all wonderful. This past weekend we brought family in from out of town, as usual, a fantastic dining experience all the way around!
Margaux's is our go-to favorite. We had a fabulous dinner with great services on a busy Friday night.
Had a business dinner and we all love the food and service provided.
Delicious food and mellow environment. Highly recommend!
We arrived and found a packed bar with a harp playing. It was incredibly noisy and it was still rather noisy in the dining area as it open to the bar. We both ordered the fixed price menu as it seemed to be a great value. While the food was goo, my husband was incredibly disappointed in 3 scallops on his plate for his main dish. He left a little hungry. My meal was good and I had no complaint. Our waiter was fabulous. I may go back but not anytime soon. For the money I can go elsewhere where my husband gets more food.
Our second time. Overall, a bit disappointed. One of three entrees, grouper, was served half-raw (verified by the waiter). The waiter was gracious and replaced the entree, but that meant the other diners had finished their meals by the time the replacement grouper arrived. That doesn’t make for the relaxed dining experience we’d hoped for. How does an entree leave the kitchen half raw? One other diner who ordered steak was not asked for a doneness preference.
We had a wonderful evening from start to finish. Our server, William was so helpful and attentive. The food was divine!
We eat at Margaux's about once a month. It's easily our favorite "go-to" restaurant. Our most recent experience wasn't the best because due to service. The food was absolutely wonderful- as always!
Fantastic meal, ambience and desserts are our favorite!
My wife and I got a rare date night. The weather was beautiful which allowed us to sit outside. Our server was a lot of fun and did a great job taking care of us. Our food was prompt and delicious. We have found the outdoor seating to be less noisy and if the weather is cooperating a very pleasant place to dine. Put all that together and it made for a wonderful evening. PS the duck on the menu is always good and one of our favorites. We also tried the seagrits and I would definitely recommend it for anyone who likes shrimp and grits but this version also had scallops and lump crabmeat making it truly unique and worth a taste.
Food and service were stellar. Menu had great options. Extensive wine list. We will definitely be going back.
We had a 7:00 reservation on a Saturday night. The waiter was friendly and took our drink order minutes after we sat down, which was great. The food was great, creative and obviously the kitchen staff knows what they are doing. The decor was beyond eclectic, especially for an establishment with such a innovative menu. The disconnect was between the overall atmosphere and what one would expect because of the type of menu. The food far exceeds simple fare and a bar menu yet the bar impacts the overall dining area as do the TVs. We were seated at a small table for two between two larger tables and the conversations at both drowned out ours making it very difficult to have a conversation. A good friend described the restaurant as schizophrenic and that is a perfect description. The restaurant misses the mark for an intimate dinner...it’s as though it can’t decide if it wants to attract a fine dining crowd or people just out for a good time with lots of drinks and the quality of the food is secondary. We like those as well, but when you are expecting one thing and the other is what you get, it’s disappointing. As an interior designer, I believe you can achieve both but they need to be handled as two distinct areas. Frankly speaking, I don’t want a Francophile inspired meal while catching NASCAR races out of the corner of my eye. We’ll may go back for the food but will request a table a little more out of the main area and definitely not wedged in between two tables set for larger groups.
Excellent menu choices & service!
My husband and I had dinner at Margaux's with another couple last week. We shared two orders of tacos as an appetizer. They were delicious. For our entrees, my husband had scallops, two of us had grouper, and one had steak. All of our meals were hot and delicious. I had to take some of mine home because I was too full to eat it all. The waitress was excellent. Attentive and friendly but not overbearing. We had never been to Margaux's before, but we will go back. We had a wonderful meal!
I love Margaux’s. It’s one of my favorite restaurants. The food is amazing & the service is always outstanding! Great menu
A family favorite! The food is ALWAYS outstanding!! The service is friendly and the atmosphere is fun.
Consistently great !!!
Margaux's is reliably very good; we especially appreciate the changing menu. New dishes have always been delicious, and it gives our visits variety. Service is reliably professional, too. Overall, quite enjoyable. Whether we come alone or with guests, we can count on Marguax's to deliver a good experience.
The moment we walked in, I knew this would be a great experience. Our waitress was superb, whether it was recommendations for drinks, the appetizers or entrees. When they came, the grilled mahi mahi and shrimp with chorizo was wonderful. Definitely coming back.
Summer menu seafood risotto and scallops were well presented and cooked to perfection.
Our local Margaux restaurant never fails to please. My Mother, when in town from out of state, loves to join us at Margaux and Steve, Eric, Hunter and the rest of the great crew at Margaux always make her feel welcome as they do us on a frequent basis of dining at Margaux.
Thanks to all.
Awewome! Service is always high standard.
