Marino Ristorante is deeply rooted in Hollywood since the late 1950’s when Ciro (Mario to friends) Marino landed in Hollywood and has ever since had generations of who’s who in the movie, record, art, political and business LA community at his tables. Today it is still family owned and given its warm welcome flavor by the second generation of Marinos, Mario in the dining room and brother Sal in the kitchen.

The decor is modern and comfortable with memorabilia from a 60 year career which all come together to create its appeal. Described by many marrying the quintessential NY Italian in Los Angeles for its history coupled with today’s seasonal menu, highlighting the best locally sourced ingredients and top notch freshest seafood available.

Too many large parties. Our order was obviously behind all of them. Overall was not happy with the service, and duration of the meal - over two hours for two courses. Food was ok, but nothing to write home about. The Filleto Sinatra was a small portion of steak (very thin) and a bit over cooked, but tender. While it's not a big deal, despite having a note on our reservation that it was my birthday, they did not acknowledge it in any way, like they did for the four other tables with Birthday celebrations that night.

The mezze maniche norma and pollo vesuvio were great, and the tiramisu was one of the best, if not the best, i’ve ever had. The service is what stood out to me as everyone who greeted us, seated us, and served us throughout the night were all so friendly and seemingly happy to be there. Even the chef came out do do his rounds and check on us. It’s rare that a restaurant has a quality like that. This is a great spot for date nights and we will surely be back again.

They have tomato Wednesdays out on the patio and it was delicious and delightful They grow their own tomatoes and make dishes that feature the freshness Totally great night i will be returning for
