   You’re paying for the ambiance and views. Food was okay and nothing I would rave about. Mixed drinks were on par. If I were to come here again I would only do drinks and appetizers or dessert.

   We came to Mariposa during our stay in Sedona for my boyfriends birthday and we were not disappointed! The view and the atmosphere was absolutely gorgeous. The drinks and food were delicious. I ordered the filet medium rare and it came out nearly well done. I let my server know and he immediately had it fixed. It came out PERFECT. The chef even came out at one point to make sure everything was great. I will definitely recommend Mariposa to anyone who visits the area 🦋

   Staff was fabulous, ambience and view incredible. Most of the dishes were very good (not out of this world), however, our entire skirt steak entree came out cold…very cold (even the potatoes). Expected a bit more on the food side, but overall very nice restaurant.

   We loved our dinner at Mariposa Grill and the service was impeccable. Thanks to Matthew for his excellent service and recommendations. We ordered the empanadas, the Caesar salad, the ceviche, the gazpacho, the gaucho plate for our party of four. For dessert, we shared the Boca de Muerto which is truly divine!

    Waiter was in a big hurry talking super fast killing the romantic relaxing patio vibe until I commented. Everything was good but nothing out of the ordinary. Had mushroom empanadas (just ok) grilled octopus (was the best item we ate AND the most tender best octopus we’ve ever had), ribeye was ok, and Flores de mar (seafood stew in saffron) which was good but nothing spectacular. Cocktails and view were great! Owner chef Lisa was there and we asked to meet her and she accepted which was brief but fun and nice.

    Visiting Sedona for 24hrs. Managed to score the only slot available. The views are amazing. Food was excellent. Some good value wines on the list and all the staff were super friendly

    This way my first time here and it did not disappoint at all!!! Highly recommend this amazing restaurant. It was my birthday and our server got me a little cheese cake with a candle. He went out of his way and made it exceptionally personal.

    The place is really beautiful in terms of location and view, however our high expectations were killed by the welcoming/ check in staff - unfriendly and unprofessional. they cancelled our outdoor reservation within the 15’ grace period and gave us only the possibility to stay at bar …however the patio where we reserved was empty at that time. Food was good . Ambience in the patio great .. less enjoyable at bar.

    The restaurant was beautiful. Tehe staff were professional. the food was excellent. I have recommended this restaurant to several friends. The location near downtown Sedona is convenient and provide beautiful views.

    Excellent food and service. Our server Jenny was great. Empanadas and scallop appetizers were awesome. Steaks were very good. Had the Corn Mac and cheese and mashed lobster potatoes all were very good. AMAZING views!!!

    Experienced problems with the Open Table reservation system. First two reservation attempts (on two different days) indicated tables were available, but system error prevented finalizing the request. The third request did confirm the reservation request for indoor seating, but upon arrival, hostess sat us outdoors.

    Food was delicious except for Flores Del Mar, I had two bites of quinoa and something that looked like calamar but it was not, that dish was not as expected, scallops well all entrees were delicious.

    Mariposa is a fine dining experience with one of the most beautiful views I've ever experienced. The food is excellent, the service was top-notch, and the cocktails were amazing. If you are looking at Mariposa, then you are aware of the $$ you'll need to spend. With that said, if you are on a budget, it is an excellent place for a special occasion.

    Surely one of Sedona’s finest restaurants, but not for the average citizen. A meal for 4 people, 4 cocktails and one $44 bottle of wine (retails for $10) was almost $700.

    The building and position with spectacular views were gorgeous. The food was very good. The service was friendly and welcoming, though there was some lack of attention to detail, for example had to ask twice for a soup spoon and twice for cream for coffee. Overall very good.

    We celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary here. We were very excited to get the hard to get reservation. Upon arrival, there is a real WOW factor. The parking lot is trimmed in lights & front courtyard and entry way are filled with beautiful fire pits that are blazing. There is a gentleman greeting & asking for reservation names. Once he confirmed our name he radioed inside to announce our arrival. He invites us to enter the courtyard & a large, beautiful iron & glass door opens on it's own. As we entered a hostess greeted us by name & brings us to our table. The entire restaurant is decorated tastefully & beautifully. The ambiance is amazing. You truly feel that you are about to have an incredible dining experience. We ordered the empanadas as the appetizer and were blown away! They were delicious!!! My husband had the seabass which he said was delicious, but very small. It was half the size of a usual portion of seabass in other restaurants. But, it was cooked well & the taste was very good. It was served over rice which was overcooked & mushy. That was a disappointment. I ordered the Flores Del Mar which at market price was $55. It as shrimp, 4 oz of lobster, and mussels served over quinoa pilaf. The flavor was very good, but the shrimp & lobster were so overcooked that I didn't eat them. They were complete rubber. I took them home hoping I could salvage them for breakfast, but I couldn't. Honestly, for $55 I should have sent the dish back, but I don't like to do that in a restaurant. The service by Tim was absolutely top notch! He is a great waiter & obviously enjoys what he does for a living. We felt very pampered & attended to by him. Overall, I would give Mariposa another shot in the future as everyone makes mistakes & the experience as a whole was very good.

    Beautiful location, gorgeous building, great service. Food was wonderful! Empanadas, mussels, au gratin potatoes, and elote were phenomenal. The New York strip was a little tough, but chimichurri was delicious. Will come back again, and try a different main dish.

    We were celebrating my birthday and my wife had been here before and loved. The octopus was over cooked and dry. It felt like it was double cooked. After we told the server they replaced it with a delicious one. The utensils and glasses had dry food from the dishwasher. The patio fans and other ceiling attachments had 1/4” dust. When the fan is working where does that dust end up: in our plates. After we told the server that we were celebrating our birthday, we were not offered anything. However, he brought a candle and a small desert to someone on a nearby table celebrating…the food was average not special and we were disappointed. Our server was attentive, at the beginning when there were not other customers.

    Awesome experience! Super helpful service, and very detailed oriented staff. They asked us if we had any food allergies(we did- shellfish) and no other restaurant that we have been to has done that, again super personable! Amazing food, drinks, and overall experience.
