Food was fantastic, but the restaurant appeared to be severely understaffed. We waited a lengthy time at each step (ie; to be seated, to get drinks (& re-fills), for bread, to receive food, etc). However, although the staff were very busy, they were very apologetic and provided rounds of complimentary drinks. We did enjoy our dining experience despite it taking twice as long as expected.
very poor showing would come back food was salty, and cold service was slow due to inadequate help very sad.
Eat anywhere but here. We live in Niagara Falls and decided to give this a try....horrible. Service was sub-par with our waitress acting as the hostess and bartender. Steak was not cooked per requested and was horribly small. Our drink glasses were empty and we wanted to order more but never had the chance. We asked for the bill...took 20 mins because server took 3 orders before going to get it.
For a better price and way better service...go to the Keg or Canyon Creek!!!
Extremely disappointed. I am unsure how there were so many wonderful reviews unless we just got them on an off night. We were celebrating our anniversary and the dinner was a complete flop. I immediately was turned off when we were dropped off at a rundown Ramada Inn, to walk inside to a restaurant next to a swimming pool. There was one waitress/hostess/bartender for the entire restaurant. She was very sweet but just obviously couldn’t keep up. We waited 20 minutes for someone to come to our table. Every table around us sat dirty, uncleaned. We ended up ordering when she came to our table due to the wait. We received our steaks before our drinks. I never received my salad. We didn’t get bread like other tables did. Our steaks were terrible. Poorly seasoned, tough, charred on outside. The garlic mashed potatoes tasted instant. It was painful to swipe my credit card for the $132 bill. Save yourself the trouble and just eat at a chain restaurant in the area because the whole area lacks charm and anything “upscale”.
We went because of a groupon, but would not go back. Tables were small. The food came out all in separate dishes which made the table cluttered. Meal was good, But not return visit level of good.
For a place with the word Meat in it. Wasn’t impressed with the quality and wasn’t worth the groupon price let alone full price. The lobster wrapped in bacon was deep fried and not editable for 11.00. Looked like to small shrimp to me and the bacon was burnt. Not to mention they left the shells on. I think the Keg would be a better option.
Incredible service!!! Food was very tasty and our steaks were perfect. Definitely a Must try when in Niagara.
This was a Groupon gift from my granddaughter. The Caesar salad was very good, bread basket mainly sliced pita wedges, would have liked more in the way of a small roll. The mussels were absolutely amazing - broth was delicious. The is a steak house, so was expecting a much better quality of steak. I ordered my steak medium and it was raw, had to send it back, my husband ordered medium rare - still raw, but he didn't mind it. It was a 10 ounce strip loin - not very tasty or tender. Veggies were good, brussel sprouts very good. Overall it was nice, service was good. Maybe a 7 out of 10 for a rating.
I ordered the filet mignon. 39 dollars I believe.
The waitress asked before I ordered if I was staying at the hotel.... I gather because of the coupon discount I got a sirloin steak instead. Most would not know the difference however I definatly do know.
Even for a sirloin it was still rather tough.
Definatly not up to par for a dedicated steak house.
I understand the 40 dollar discount comes into play here so I didn't complain.
I did not mention anything to our waitress. She was absolutely great.
She definatly made the dining experience for us.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary here. We really enjoyed it and will be coming back.
Eva, the server, was great--friendly, fun. Upscale restaurant--food was yummy but expensive (stayed at hotel so we had a coupon for discount). Would have gotten a side salad but was over priced (over $10). Very fresh and delicious food.
Atmosphere was nice however food wasn’t as good as I was hoping for at the price point.
Wasn’t happy with the service. Waitress didn’t seem to friendly. Steak was not hot when it came out. It was not cooked the way we asked so we sent it back twice to have it cooked more. We ask for less redness inside.
Our server Jamie was fantastic! Wonderful night out!
This was a date night for my husband and I and the atmosphere was amazing and the service was great we were very happy with the service and food. Definitely will be back to have another meal with the family
Great time celebrating my birthday with the boys. Everyone enjoyed their meals and wine list was Great!
Service was very good. Food was average. We ordered the holiday set menu - filet mignon but the quality of the meat was so so. We sent the dish back to the kitchen ... the chef was great to make another slice of the filet mignon but still, was fairly dry. It’s the quality of the meat that’s not worth the money paid.
Amazing food, amazing service. The staff went out of their way to find us a change table for our baby -they even walked with us so we wouldn’t get lost and offered to clean it down for us. Truly above and beyond service. Exceptionally friendly. Will definitely be returning.
The food was Delicious from start to finish. The bread came to the table hot! The soup and Cesar salad were unique and very tasty. My husband had the mussels and said they were the best he has ever had in his life and we were out east this summer so that is something to be said. Steaks were cooked to perfection and tender. I chose Parmesan Basil fries which were extremely tasty. Finally the creme brulle there are no words to describe how good it was other than wow!
The staff are all great, friendly and attentive.
I would definitely dine here again when we are in the area.
The staff was very welcoming, this was our 3rd visit and we will be back again . All of the courses were flavourful as usual .
We have been several times now & always loved our meal. This past visit we were very disappointed😔 Not sure if they cut back on quality of steak when you use a groupon. Didn't get a choice of soup this time & our waitress was efficient but needs to learn to smile & be a little happier serving tables.
Restaurant was connected to hotel. Great steaks...
Great atmosphere. Excellent decor. Very knowledgeable staff. My ribeye was cooked to absolute perfection. And taste was second to none.
I was coming down with a flue type thing so it wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been. I didn't like the soup I didn't like the salad the goat cheese was passable... I only at two bites of the main but the desserts were excellent.
Service was top notion. We had purchased a TravelZoo deal for a five course dinner. Food was excellent and choices were great. My husband really enjoyed the Pinot he selected. Steak was cooked perfectly. We arrived earlier than our reservation and that did not pose a problem; we were accommodated immediately. Service was very attentive, with the server checking back multiple times to ensure that we had everything we needed and were satisfied with the food.
I found the restaurant to be very nice comfortable and cozy. The menu had a great selection to pick from. But it is a steakhouse and we did Order fillet mignon and New York strips steaks. There were four of us and all four of our steaks were tough. When you’re paying those kind of prices you want a nice tender steak.
Best steak I've had in a long time. Great service and nice modern atmosphere.
Meat wasnt the quality that was expected no better than a outback steak
Excellent, attentive service. Ordered for the Prixe Fixe 5 course menu. Timing of dishes was well spaced. The beet soup starter was excellent , complimented with fresh hot sour dough and flat breads. The Caesar salads were good but not exceptional. The Wagyu beef slider appetizers were melt in the mouth
The main course dinners were tasty and done to order.
The blueberry cheese cake was well presented with drizzles of chocolate and vanilla, and sliced strawberries and whole blueberries on the plate.
An enjoyable evening with good food, well timed delivery of dishes and attentive service
Food and service was fantastic. A little too cold with AC fans directed toward tables which makes the food get cold.
Wednesday's are slow this time of year and that is why we go to Niagara now . The restaurant was empty so very quiet, the service was fast and the waitress was very attentive. The food is great and the wine list is very extensive. It is a Steak House but the other menu items are of equal quality, my wife does not eat steak but loves the fish dishes.
Great selection. Plenty of different kinds of meat and sides. We particularly enjoyed the brisket, home fries, baked beans and chicken. We will return.
went with a groupon based on reviews, we were not disappointed. food was delicious from the warm rolls with red pepper butter , soup, salad and appetizer. oh the steak was good great flavor. the dessert was great too but had to take mine home since so full. highly recommend.
Great food, great service
Went there with a Groupon voucher and paid extra to receive items that weren't on the fixed menu. Wagyu steak was mediocre and staff was overly fake and pretentious. Manager asked me what I wanted him to do to make me happy. It is not my job to tell you how to do yours. Be the manager and try and receive and recurring customer. He said because I got the Groupon even though I paid extra the steak would not be the same cut or quality. Then goes back and says that the steak is the exact same regardless of the discount. Then goes back again and says every day the cut of the steak is different. Make up your mind and don't make me feel like I'm not as important because your establishment offers discounts because it is too slow to have foot traffic come in on it's own. Would not return.
We went with friends for a birthday . The food was excellent and fresh. The service wasn't rushed and the waitress was friendly. The meal is not rushed. Very relaxed. Very enjoyable.
Server was great, food was adequate.
Our waitress Julia was very good. We enjoyed her bubbly personality and attentiveness and menu suggestions. We enjoyed the French onion soup. Our steaks were done perfectly and the desserts were delicious. We weren't crazy about the Parmesan fries and wishes we'd made a different potato selection. The veggies were done very well. Overall, we had a very nice evening in a relaxed atmosphere.
The power went out in the entire grid while we were there. Staff were very calm and helpful and informed every table of how their meal would be affected. No sacrifice by the chefs to speed things up everything was incredible. The owners showed up too to check on procedures. They seemed genuinely interested in the diners' experience over worrying about losing weekend business. I wish I remembered her name but our waitress was fantastic.
First the restaurant was Freezing! The server was pleasant, but slow with no fault of hers she kept apologizing throughout our dinning experience for not attending to us more attentively. I could plainly see why as the bar was to my left in plain sight and I noted that the Servers are also their own Bar Tender's as well. I don't mind paying a lot for great food, but despise paying top quality pricing for dinner quality. Steak first came out raw opposed to the medium rare I requested. When I received it back I found it lacking taste and very greasy.
