As you walk into Niagara’s newest steakhouse, The Meat Market Niagara, you will be wowed by a really cool ceiling. Designed to look like a giant wine barrel, it sets the mood for a great meal with attentive service. The kitchen area is open concept so that you can get up close and personal with the chef as he sears your steak to perfection. We serve USDA Prime, a tender and juicy cut of meat, that is one of the highest grades of beef found; as well as Wagyu, a Japanese Kobe beef. A wide variety of local beer and wine will be on tap (yup, there is a wine tap) and specially selected to pair nicely with our mains.


One of the most unique things about Meat Market is that every steak is branded with our logo, seared into the steak. All our employees are highly trained in both food and wine pairing and ready to help answer any questions about your meal.

appetizers were excellent, server was pleasant, lipstick on glass before we used it, charged us some tourist tax..born here! Not impressed.

I asked for a well done steak, it was rare when it arrived, I sent it back and they cooked it to the point of charcoal!!
The server tried to over charge us $100, however when I pointed it out she did fix the problem.
Won’t be going back there!

I don’t like to leave bad reviews, but even with a groupon deal, the value was terrible. Soup wasn’t even warm, neither of us could eat the caeser salad , one slice of burnt bacon doesn’t cut it, and the ‘Waygu’ steak was not even close to being 8oz ( cooked rare) and was the most bland excuse for a piece of meat I have ever tasted. If you got a steak from No Frills and tossed it in a pan with no seasoning, that is exactly how it tasted.
Server was very nice though.
Bread was good too.

Bad smell when my wife and I walked in. Asked server about is she said she did not notice a smell. After she left table we over heard table of 5 men beside us tell the same server their steak smelled really bad and felt like mush. We got up and walked out. Such a bad experience

took 2.5 hours for our 4 course meal on Saturday. Only three servers working. Everyone dining around us kept looking at each other and couldn’t believe the wait times we all were experiencing. Server blamed it on the kitchen, didn’t even come to check on our entrees. Gnocchi wasn’t even cooked all the way. Very dissatisfied

Preface: We reserved a group of 9 people (ended up being 11) for 7pm on a Friday during Restaurant Week.

Arrival: We arrived at 7pm. Offered menus and water. Waitress said she'd return for drink orders.

Pre-Meal: Waitress came back (10mins), explained the 5-course menu (which everyone ordered), took drink orders.

Drinks: Arrived about 15mins later (the majority ordered wine by the bottle). Told that bread would be served soon. Food orders taken.

1st course: Maple Butternut Squash soup. Warm, very good. 1st soup arrived about 5 mins before the last soup was served. Which means 1st person waited about 5mins since half the table hadn't received their course). Bread was brought after the soup. 2nd wine bottle ordered.

2nd course: Green Salad. Pomegranate seeds, goat's cheese, arugula, sweet dressing. Good. Some chose Caesar salad (which arrived about 10mins before the green salads), again waiting to eat since course served sporatically. Glasses empty.

3rd course: Shared app. Goat Cheese Fritter with honey and walnuts. Very good. Apps served sporatically, 20mins of waiting. 2nd bottle arrives after we go to bar ourselves.

4th course: Main. Wagyu Steak, roast garlic mash potatoes. Steak order medium, received medium. Was warm, mash complemented nicely. Some said their steaks were overcooked, but was not my case. 20mins waited.

5th course: Dessert. Cheesecake, with blueberry coulis. Good, ended meal nicely. Glasses empty.

Bills: Gratuity added (10+ in group). We asked to have DMF tax removed (we're all Niagara residents), server said they couldn't do that. We asked to speak to manager. Server came back to say manager would give 6$ back (from his pocket) to 1 of us, since the manager knew how much it affected this one person (it didn't bother them more than any other party member), said he couldn't remove the DMF for anyone else. We paid our bills (DMF included) without the manager ever coming to talk to us (but roamed around while server spoke to us).

Great atmosphere and food. We went as part of Lundy’s Lane restaurant week and the 4 course meal options offered great selection. The food was fantastic. It was a nice relaxing date night.

Great food. Our server was wonderful. Came in with a 4 course meal voucher. She was a able to give me a vegan meal which was awesome. My boyfriend said the steak was amazing.

We had come to the restaurant for first time after purchasing a Groupon voucher. The voucher has said it was for a grand prix fixe meal including two sides one appetizer two entrees and one dessert. We asked about price restrictions and were told there was no either way we ordered lower priced items. We also had 3 drinks as well and when we received the bill they had taken off $99 for the grand Prix fixe and we were charged for our dessert that was supposed to be included and a sauce for my chicken meal that had said it was a choice of one or the other and there was a charge for veggie instead for what I do not know the veegue came with my chicken entree. The only extras we ordered not on voucher was drinks and we were charged another $70 after the $103 I paid to Groupon. The meal was good but I am really disappointed about the bill if you will not honour the voucher fully it should be said before we ordered or if there was a fixed entree amount that should be have been said as well and we did ask. Also the meal I was charged extras on was only $35 one of the lower priced meals either way.

We used a groupon so it was a limited menu. However the choices were still pretty good. Food was delicious (and we are both foodies so that's an accomplishment) Our server Mike was amazing, friendly, funny, and gave us advice on other local hot spots to check out. Wasn't expecting the added gratuity:( so be prepared to add $ overall for a special evening we will definitely come back !

A reservation was booked based on reviews and service for a large group -business dinner. Dinner was late - 3 hours, it took them 1 hour for appetizers. Dishes/sides forgotten. Steaks were inedible- either overcooked or under cooked. Fish overcooked. Three of the guests fell ill that night. I can't even blame it on how busy it was...because it wasn't. Service was not well-timed. Have no idea whether they were understaffed or not; but the fact is that you know the # of reservations you have for the evening- you prepare for the # of people coming to your restaurant. Obviously the reviews online are 'inaccurate' by far. I cannot recommend this place to anyone at all.

My wife and I decided on Meat Market for our 25th Anniversary . We had eaten with friends a few years ago and our dining experience was excellent as well as the food. Unfortunately this time it just wasn't the same experience, the waitress was very friendly and courteous but the meal was no different from your traditional "Family Style" steakhouse without the paper on the table ! I myself had started off the meal with a French Onion soup that was at best lukewarm. The steak was brought out in a small cast iron skillet separated from being plated the side was a ramekin with a lid housing warm mini potatoes no other vegetables were served with the meal and all served with not so fresh pita bread with a crab dip that you could have eaten as a soup and a Caesar salad that was supposed to have a piece of prosciutto which unfortunately tasted like a piece of regular bacon. To say we were disappointed is an understatement , especially for such an important occasion. Unfortunately our experience this time has created considerable doubt that we would be returning to this establishment or referring it to others !

Our server was phenomenal and the food was spectacular. The steak, gnocchi, and lobster mac and cheese were all amazing! All to die for! Though the dishes seemed small they were filling and super flavorful.

On a vacation for a few days in the Niagara region, had heard about this place as a must-go... what a deception! Ordered the soup of the day which was supposed to be cauliflower soup. Instead of the expected taste, it was more of a vanilla custard taste with some spices... couldn’t finish it. Then, the sirloin steak ordered rare was far from being tender as I had a hard time cutting through it just to check if it was cooked properly... To top all of this up, the first wine bottle chosen wasn’t available as the restaurant is trying to cut down the selection offered as the server told us... An expensive meal that I would not recommend to anyone.

Great food, very friendly staff, this was our first visit to Meat- stayed at Ramada & received $20 off while on Vacation & enjoying the area & our 3rd Anniversary.
Very tasty meal but pricy-but considering the area, should have been surprised.

Food was fantastic, but the restaurant appeared to be severely understaffed. We waited a lengthy time at each step (ie; to be seated, to get drinks (& re-fills), for bread, to receive food, etc). However, although the staff were very busy, they were very apologetic and provided rounds of complimentary drinks. We did enjoy our dining experience despite it taking twice as long as expected.

Eat anywhere but here. We live in Niagara Falls and decided to give this a try....horrible. Service was sub-par with our waitress acting as the hostess and bartender. Steak was not cooked per requested and was horribly small. Our drink glasses were empty and we wanted to order more but never had the chance. We asked for the bill...took 20 mins because server took 3 orders before going to get it.
For a better price and way better service...go to the Keg or Canyon Creek!!!

Extremely disappointed. I am unsure how there were so many wonderful reviews unless we just got them on an off night. We were celebrating our anniversary and the dinner was a complete flop. I immediately was turned off when we were dropped off at a rundown Ramada Inn, to walk inside to a restaurant next to a swimming pool. There was one waitress/hostess/bartender for the entire restaurant. She was very sweet but just obviously couldn’t keep up. We waited 20 minutes for someone to come to our table. Every table around us sat dirty, uncleaned. We ended up ordering when she came to our table due to the wait. We received our steaks before our drinks. I never received my salad. We didn’t get bread like other tables did. Our steaks were terrible. Poorly seasoned, tough, charred on outside. The garlic mashed potatoes tasted instant. It was painful to swipe my credit card for the $132 bill. Save yourself the trouble and just eat at a chain restaurant in the area because the whole area lacks charm and anything “upscale”.

For a place with the word Meat in it. Wasn’t impressed with the quality and wasn’t worth the groupon price let alone full price. The lobster wrapped in bacon was deep fried and not editable for 11.00. Looked like to small shrimp to me and the bacon was burnt. Not to mention they left the shells on. I think the Keg would be a better option.
