About Meat Market Niagara

As you walk into Niagara’s newest steakhouse, The Meat Market Niagara, you will be wowed by a really cool ceiling. Designed to look like a giant wine barrel, it sets the mood for a great meal with attentive service. The kitchen area is open concept so that you can get up close and personal with the chef as he sears your steak to perfection. We serve USDA Prime, a tender and juicy cut of meat, that is one of the highest grades of beef found; as well as Wagyu, a Japanese Kobe beef. A wide variety of local beer and wine will be on tap (yup, there is a wine tap) and specially selected to pair nicely with our mains.

One of the most unique things about Meat Market is that every steak is branded with our logo, seared into the steak. All our employees are highly trained in both food and wine pairing and ready to help answer any questions about your meal.

Service was very good. Food was average. We ordered the holiday set menu - filet mignon but the quality of the meat was so so. We sent the dish back to the kitchen ... the chef was great to make another slice of the filet mignon but still, was fairly dry. It’s the quality of the meat that’s not worth the money paid.

Amazing food, amazing service. The staff went out of their way to find us a change table for our baby -they even walked with us so we wouldn’t get lost and offered to clean it down for us. Truly above and beyond service. Exceptionally friendly. Will definitely be returning.

The food was Delicious from start to finish. The bread came to the table hot! The soup and Cesar salad were unique and very tasty. My husband had the mussels and said they were the best he has ever had in his life and we were out east this summer so that is something to be said. Steaks were cooked to perfection and tender. I chose Parmesan Basil fries which were extremely tasty. Finally the creme brulle there are no words to describe how good it was other than wow!
The staff are all great, friendly and attentive.
I would definitely dine here again when we are in the area.

We have been several times now & always loved our meal. This past visit we were very disappointed😔 Not sure if they cut back on quality of steak when you use a groupon. Didn't get a choice of soup this time & our waitress was efficient but needs to learn to smile & be a little happier serving tables.

I was coming down with a flue type thing so it wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been. I didn't like the soup I didn't like the salad the goat cheese was passable... I only at two bites of the main but the desserts were excellent.

Service was top notion. We had purchased a TravelZoo deal for a five course dinner. Food was excellent and choices were great. My husband really enjoyed the Pinot he selected. Steak was cooked perfectly. We arrived earlier than our reservation and that did not pose a problem; we were accommodated immediately. Service was very attentive, with the server checking back multiple times to ensure that we had everything we needed and were satisfied with the food.

I found the restaurant to be very nice comfortable and cozy. The menu had a great selection to pick from. But it is a steakhouse and we did Order fillet mignon and New York strips steaks. There were four of us and all four of our steaks were tough. When you’re paying those kind of prices you want a nice tender steak.

Excellent, attentive service. Ordered for the Prixe Fixe 5 course menu. Timing of dishes was well spaced. The beet soup starter was excellent , complimented with fresh hot sour dough and flat breads. The Caesar salads were good but not exceptional. The Wagyu beef slider appetizers were melt in the mouth
The main course dinners were tasty and done to order.
The blueberry cheese cake was well presented with drizzles of chocolate and vanilla, and sliced strawberries and whole blueberries on the plate.
An enjoyable evening with good food, well timed delivery of dishes and attentive service

Wednesday's are slow this time of year and that is why we go to Niagara now . The restaurant was empty so very quiet, the service was fast and the waitress was very attentive. The food is great and the wine list is very extensive. It is a Steak House but the other menu items are of equal quality, my wife does not eat steak but loves the fish dishes.

Went there with a Groupon voucher and paid extra to receive items that weren't on the fixed menu. Wagyu steak was mediocre and staff was overly fake and pretentious. Manager asked me what I wanted him to do to make me happy. It is not my job to tell you how to do yours. Be the manager and try and receive and recurring customer. He said because I got the Groupon even though I paid extra the steak would not be the same cut or quality. Then goes back and says that the steak is the exact same regardless of the discount. Then goes back again and says every day the cut of the steak is different. Make up your mind and don't make me feel like I'm not as important because your establishment offers discounts because it is too slow to have foot traffic come in on it's own. Would not return.

Our waitress Julia was very good. We enjoyed her bubbly personality and attentiveness and menu suggestions. We enjoyed the French onion soup. Our steaks were done perfectly and the desserts were delicious. We weren't crazy about the Parmesan fries and wishes we'd made a different potato selection. The veggies were done very well. Overall, we had a very nice evening in a relaxed atmosphere.

The power went out in the entire grid while we were there. Staff were very calm and helpful and informed every table of how their meal would be affected. No sacrifice by the chefs to speed things up everything was incredible. The owners showed up too to check on procedures. They seemed genuinely interested in the diners' experience over worrying about losing weekend business. I wish I remembered her name but our waitress was fantastic.

Thanks

First the restaurant was Freezing! The server was pleasant, but slow with no fault of hers she kept apologizing throughout our dinning experience for not attending to us more attentively. I could plainly see why as the bar was to my left in plain sight and I noted that the Servers are also their own Bar Tender's as well. I don't mind paying a lot for great food, but despise paying top quality pricing for dinner quality. Steak first came out raw opposed to the medium rare I requested. When I received it back I found it lacking taste and very greasy.

We are locals who plan a regular visit to have the BEST steak in Niagara. Food is always consistently great and the servers are top shelf. Nice atmosphere (a little chilly so dress appropriately) and they do not charge locals that ridiculous tourism tax. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

The service was good the restaurant looks nice but the food wasn't good. We had a 5 course meal and only thing that was good was the soup and the Creme brule. It's definitely not a fine dining experience. Both of our glasses of wine had cork in it. The French fries were soggy and the steak was not cooked to specification. The cheese cake tasted like a sugarless pile of ricotta cheese. With top the bill came to $156 and we didn't feel it was worth it.

Horrible server
Rude
Got upset that we didn't want to buy wine off the menu
Gave us rude attitude when asking questions about the menu
Food was okay. Some items were just a waste of time while some were good
Rooms were open and good for a date/occasion. No privacy in the least though.
Went there as a little special dinner after getting married 4 days before.
Only had 2 customers other than us come in during busy time.
Parking is not the greatest as the restaurant is attached to a Ramada Inn
Would never go there again after the experience we had.

The server was good, and nice. The food is good; however, the main course is limited, the menu for kids are not very impressed, I wish they have a 5 course dinner menu for kids too so they are also able to enjoy the food with us. The 5 course dinner menu for adult is kind of too much for kids, and I was raised not to waste food.

Overall incredibly disappointing. Found out it was in a Ramada upon arrival and it was even worse than you would have expected even for a cheap hotel restaurant. The room was dead, the carpaccio was frozen (literally), the oysters weren't shucked properly and were full of bits of shell and the steak way overdone. I could go on but I already wasted too much of my life on this establishment. It was so bad that never mind me not returning to Meat Market, but I'm never staying in a Ramada because clearly the bar is set so low you could trip on it. I'm not only not recommending this place, but I'm warning people against it.

Best filet mignon I have ever had but my husband thought his ribeye was on the chewy side. Our server Jamie was fabulous. The only big negative is that they had the air conditioner cranked so high that we shivered our way through the meal. I wish we had brought warmer clothes.

Great service, uninspired appetizers, decent entrees. The server we had was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being overbearing.

The scallop appetizer came with a BBQ sauce that was unnecessary and the meat plate was serviceable, but lackluster for a steakhouse.

The CAA dry aged rib eye was rare when ordered medium rare, but issue was rectified. The chicken supreme was very much enjoyed by my wife. Creamed brussel sprouts were sublime and the rice pilaf was buttery with chia and lentils.

I would eat here again, but I would probably come back for steak and sides while skipping the apps.

Wife had the Filet mignon, and said it was the best.
Overall great experience
