Starter mains were excellent The experience was spoilt by the very poor desserts namely the date sponge with caramel - heavy solid texture and just the chill off Also the sweet with monkey nuts sold and bland Would be more carful in future with this course All very expensive compared with other courses Would have been appreciated when we told the staff a proportion of cost was refunded as none of us could eat these Would recommend but warn about these desserts

We were welcomed as soon as we arrived by a charming waiter that totally looked after us for the entire evening. His enthusiasm throughout our meal was amazing. he also helped us with food choices and he delivered the drinks quickly. Also, the food was excellent and beat all our expectations. It was a lovely dining experience and we will definitely be coming back again so thank you. Ian Shearer.

Very relaxed dining experience. Chef owner provides delicious gluten free food

My wife, my daughter and I had booked for the New Years Day special menu. My wife had the foi gros followed by beef wellington and poached pear whilst I had lobster and smoked duck salad followed by goose and then a chocolate mousse cake. Our daughter had similar starters and puddings but monkfish as a main course. All was cooked to perfection and served promptly but unobtrusively. A perfect New Years treat!

This is the 4th time we have lunched at the Cooden Beach in the past 12 months and we have not been disappointed. The refurbishments have enhanced the experience andwe have planned 3 short stays in 2023.
