Tupelo Honey is a revival of Southern food and traditions rooted in the Carolina Mountains we call home. We craft brunches, lunches and suppers that bring family and friends around the table and allow for conversations and cocktails to linger longer than usual. Please arrive on time with all members in your party present. We will cancel reservations 15 minutes after the scheduled time. The combining of separate reservations will not be honored. The first Oven Restaurant, located in the heart of downtown Lincoln, has been around since 1988 and owned/operated by a dedicated family of chefs who have been creating Indian cuisine for over twenty seven years. The Oven Restaurants specialize in Northern Indian Cuisine which is known for its rich colors, flavor profiles and a unique style of cooking in a clay oven, called the Tandoor. Chicken, shrimp and lamb marinate for several hours in a yogurt and spice mixture and placed on skewers while various breads are being hand made by our chefs fresh each day. The skewers and breads are then placed in the tandoor over an open flame where breads are cooked to perfection and the rich flavors are sealed in to ensure tenderness and quality of the meat. Husker games are the big exception to that rule.

    The event was fun and entertaining. The food was downright amazing. I love new things and twists on old things and they hit it outta the park on both areas. Also, at small plate tasting you often leave hungry. Not at all here. The pairings with the whisky was fantastic as well! We went for the whisky, which was all very good but the food stole the show!! Thank you.

    We reserved a high top because that is all I could see was available on OpenTable. I sent a message from the app to let the restaurant know we would prefer a low top if it was available. The response in the app said "there weren't any available" at the time of your reservation. When we got there they sat us in a low top which was nice. There were many open when we arrived. Salted Edge was beautiful and we watched the sunset over the water while we had cocktails. Prices were high but there are no choices within 5 miles. We thought the food quality and taste were excellent. Our server was very good and described whatever we asked. Overall Excellent experience.
