Sacramento Restaurants

So our evening actually began with reservation at a high priced steakhouse chain restaurant across the street. It was a reservation we never would have made, save for a gift card from my family member for Christmas. We arrived at the other place and immediateñy were put off by the staff, ambiance and overall vibe. Suffice to say it was bad enough that we left within 5 minutes of arrival. We've wanted to try Bennett's for sometime, and we were fortunate enough to grab a late reservation. The meal was, in a word: superb! Both my wife's salmon, and my porterhouse were cooked to perfection. The steak was so good, in fact, that it rivaled the best steaks enjoyed all over Europe this summer (París, Florence and the not-so-secret culinary pilgrimage of Donostia/San Sebastián). Everything was perfectly seasoned, and the service was also outstanding. Suffice it to say we will be back many times.

The pork chop was amazing. So many great flavors that all worked well together. Cooked perfectly. Always great food and genuinely nice staff.

Food was fantastic. Our server was very helpful in guiding us through the menu and made wonderful suggestions. Felt like the prices were very fair for the quality of the food prepared.

We made reservations for our 30th anniversary as we had never been there before and wanted to have a special experience. We were blown away by the service, our server Zak was 10/10 which just added to the night. The food was amazing and unique. Both my husband and I had different dishes on the tasting menu and from the octopus to the carrot risotto and all the way to the Affogato. We both agreed they were all magnificent. Highly recommend Allora.

I love this restaurant but have to say that over $20 for a glass of wine is just too much
