Such a beautiful venue! Loved sitting outside and the heaters up above kept us nice and cozy on a cool evening. Inside was live singing and music. We will definitely go back. So much history in this upscale hotel. Pricey drinks and food but worth it for the night.

Limones has been a 20 year fixture in the Asheville culinary world, and keeps getting better. First, the only negative is that service when you initially sit down can seem a little slow, but this is because that have a lean, but very experienced and tenured team, that once they engage you're going to have a superior experience. The portions, both apps and main, are generous. Try the specialty margaritas (recommend the cucumber jalapeño on the rocks, but add salt), and a reasonably priced wine list. Make a reservations, show up early and have a cocktail in their bar that they added a couple of years ago.

We had New Year's Day brunch at Red Stag Grill. Our service was Perfect. The food was Perfect. The ambiance was great. We had small, cute children next to us, so the noise level was elevated a bit. My husband got the Classic Eggs Benedict which was wonderful. The eggs were poached just right, which is to say, runny center, and a bit of uncooked white as well. But that's how poached eggs are supposed to be. I'm sure the chef would accommodate a more "done" egg. I got the avocado toast. It, too, was really tasty. I will say that if you have a big appetite, it will not be enough to satisfy you. The valet parking worked out really well. The valets were friendly and fast. We will go more often now that we know how good it is.

Discover Asheville

Some of the area chefs in Asheville have nicknamed their town "Foodtopia" because of the area's well-known creative passion for great cuisine. Culinary experts throughout the entire western portion of North Carolina appear to have adopted this sentiment. Elegant fine dining establishments can be found alongside mid-priced luncheonettes. You can find a creative local deli for sandwiches, soups, and salads. Your hotel's dining area may turn out to be a five-star restaurant. Whether you're in Asheville or another Western North Carolina hub, there is no shortage of high-quality food choices. European flavors are popular; German schnitzel with spaetzle shows up on menus around town. Mexican fare is another plentiful option, and Caribbean spices have found a place in the Asheville area too. Many local menus provide vegetarian and vegan choices as well as gluten-free options.
