   Cozy street front restaurant just off the main street of Westwood, NJ. Outstanding in all ways and would highly recommend for lunch or dinner, especially if a special occasion. Wide variety of appetizers, breads and entrees. Mediterranean based but has something to offer for all tastes and preferences including vegan. Perfectly prepared, professionally served and simply delightful. What more can I say? Will be back again and again to sample more of their great choices. BYOB also a big plus which allows you to pair your favorite wines while keeping down the overall cost.

   Mezza has always been one of my favorite restaurants in Bergen County. We took friends that have never eaten there last night. We first ordered the mezza. For 4 people, it came with 2 scored pitas! Presentation in the bowls was very average and, given the price, a very small amount in each bowl. (I remember a better presentation with adequate amounts for sharing in the past.) A few stips of carrots and celery for $6 was embarrassing and just plopped on a plate. As I recall, Mezza used to serve olives and another tapas gratis when you sat down. That was gone. For a restaurant that wants to be high end, something should be presented but even the bread and olive oil was gone. Dinner was good but prices have been increased too much. Entrees are mostly $38 - $40 each.

   food is delicious. Service not great...seems restaurant policy is to bring as little pita bread as possible for guests. Last nights hummus appetizer for 4 people brought 2 pieces of pita. We asked repeatedly for more. Duck, while delicious came out to $5 per small slice (8 slices total).

   Food is delicious, and a nice variety of Mediterranean dishes. We shared 3 Mezza, which are dips, and then we each ordered an appetizer as our "main" dishes. One quirky thing is that we couldn't order the Mezza separate from the rest of the food, we had to put in our entire order at once. Not sure why. Overall, a very delicious meal, and I will return!

    It took a very long time for the waiter to come by initially. Since they only have 2 seatings on Saturday (either 6:15pm or 8:30pm) you had to order everything at once. The appetizers were the best part, cigars by far the best appetizer. Then everything fell apart. The wait staff rarely came by for any purpose including clearing the table. We then had to wait almost an hour to get our entrees. We weren’t the only ones. Tables had stacks of dishes waiting to be bussed. The waiter said we were next, but after 20 minutes came and went I went to complain. The manager was nowhere to be found. The assistant manager came out and said that this was the first time this ever happened, that the kitchen was backed up and that he would comp the desserts. Hearing that the kitchen was backed up is something a diner wants to hear. Why is it that our problem? Shouldn’t the kitchen learn how to deal with the seatings? The entrees we’re not very good? After our complaining the waiter never came back. It didn’t make a difference because he wasn’t attentive before that time. Strip steak was well undercooked and the mashed potatoes tasted like a mix, no taste and cold. The other entrees of duck and branzino were fair to mediocre especially in view of the $40 price tag. I read the reviews before going here and we must of gone to a wrong place. It was disheartening that it was my wife’s birthday. We’ll never go back.

    While this is usually one of my favorite restaurants, I will not be back for a set menu/ holiday dinner. For 6 guests, the spreads that were put out were very skimpy. The first course apos were good. As for the entrees, the choices were not commensurate with the $85 per head charge. I had the lamb chops which were 3 single cut very thin chops, blandly seasoned. The Brussels sprouts also were bland and not executed well. I could have had 3 double cut delicious lamb chops from the Capital Grille for less. I am very disappointed by the effort put forth in this normally excellent restaurant.

    I feel terrible that we were having so much fun/ clueless that they had to throw us out 35 mins. after closing! What I love about this place is that all the dishes are unique to the vast cuisine choices in Bergen county. We had plates of everything all over the table & was all delicious except my wife's shrimp/gnocchi dish which was definitely over done. But a terrific place overall, would go there anytime for a casual ambience combined with an upscale dining experience. Highly recommend!

    Mezza is a lovely restaurant that “invites “ you in as soon as you enter the restaurant! The feeling of warmth and fantastic smells coming from the kitchen made me anxious to sit down and read the menu! I have been here at least 15 times and have never had an offering that wasn’t plated well and taste delicious! If you haven’t dined here and enjoy Mediterranean food make this a must do soon!!     The appetizers were absolutely delicious. The spreads ie. Babaganoush, hummus, and tzatziki were the best we all ever had! My friends steak was a little chewy. Should have had the skirt steak instead. The shrimp gnocchi was delicious as was the salmon. The staff were friendly and good! The donuts on the tree dessert was delicious.

    It was a terrible evening walked out with a migraine. We couldn’t talk or hear ourselves. There was a party of 22 people drunk screaming and talking extremely loud. It should of been a private event or seated separately. The appetizer were a joke for what they charge. Everything that came out we laughed because we couldn’t believe how big of a rip off it was. Entrees… let’s just say it’s not a place you would go back too. It shouldn’t be coming up under 5 star rating restaurant. 0/10

    New Years Eve price-fixed dinner. We are semi-regulars here for years and are usually very satisfied. Server Mina delightful and helpful as always. But $90 for two VERY meager pieces of rack of lamb that had maybe 6 small bytes of meat? Not really acceptable. Dr J COYNE

    This was my first time dining there. I was with 7 of my long time friends. Everyone loved their meals and appetizers. Tables were not on top of each other, service was very good. There was only one blip with one of us not receiving their meal when we all did. We asked the waiter and he said there was an issue with their system and apologized. The meal came out and was delicious. I would definitely go again for a special occasion since it is pricey.
