Longtime favorite! Service is always top notch and the food is consistently great! Menu has a great variety of small plates as well as Pizza and Entrees. We will be back soon.
Relatatves in from Philadelphia to go to the game
Server Ellen was great. Cocktails top notch . Salads were very tasty. Pasta dishes excellent. This is my fifth time dining here. Will definitely return.
They had great gluten free options for an italian restaurant. I ordered the pasta with goat cheese and sausage and it was amazing. I don't usually like to go back to the same places in Chicago since there are so many options but I would definitely go back here. It was absolutely delicious.
4 stars for ambiance because it was REALLY HOT on the second floor where we were seated. They definitely needed to turn on the air conditioning. Otherwise, it was a great experience, as always.
An amazing local restaurant abuzz with satisfied customers. Lemon chicken, any pasta dish, fresh hot bread, and don’t forget dessert were all delicious.
Average service at best
Wonderful service, great food, authentic Italian experience as always!
Interesting cocktails, good yet affordable wines, excellent food. Our waiter was almost too helpful, but otherwise a really perfect evening. Totally going back.
Still good after 20+ years! Great service, good value but wish they’d bring back the original bread!
Our waiter was excellent. When making the reservation, we were not aware that there would be a limited Mother’s Day brunch menu. There was nothing online to that effect. The food was great but not exactly what we were looking forward to.
Food was ok at best, table was dirty and our waiter seemed as if he was avoiding our table the entire time. I definitely will NOT be returning!
Great food and service, but we left a cash tip and they wrote in a tip on receipt. Be sure to be clear and mark cash on receipt.
Bar and wait staff were excellent! Food was fantastic, food and liquor was a great value! Would definitely come back!!
We came expecting the same or similar quality of food that we experienced at other Francesca establishments but it was so much worse and so unexpected that it was just an ordeal. First of all, I wouldn't label the noise level "energetic". It was downright unbearable. If that was at all typical of the crowds you cater to then why not do some sound-proofing. There are many creative ways to cut down on noise to make everyones experience more enjoyable. Seriously check into it. We sat near the kitchen and just the sound of dishes being constantly dumped nearby was earth shattering.
The wine was not very good quality and I think that was possibly the worst pizza I have had at a restaurant. But then I am used to eating very authentic Italian food.
I LOVE this restaurant- but really prefer sitting downstairs. :)
Great all the way around!
Food and cocktails were delicious. Our server was outstanding. Will definitely be back
Sat upstairs. Not as nice as downstairs
My open table reservation was not initially there.
Great service, food and ambiance. So worth the 15 minute Uber ride from downtown!
An intimate setting, with high quality offerings and attentive service sums up well the Mia Francesca dining experience. Overall, I enjoyed my appetizer, calamari, very much. The lobster bisque was light and flavorful. My main entree, the lasagna, was a bit disappointing--too experimental, I thought, but the service was exceptional.
My last two visits to Mia weren't able to live up to my memories. The food is still good but the service seems to have fallen off. The discussion of the group when leaving was to avoid eating in going forward, and rather getting delivery to enjoy the food but not be exposed to the bad service.
Its a shame because its been such a gem in the neighborhood for 20+years.
Great food, tasty cocktails And amazing bread. Attentive servers
As always, amazing food, very gracious service and perfect ambiance. Great staff.
Always a great experience. Definitely will return again!
The service was impeccable. The wine list had a large variety of choices and covered a broad price range. I love the ambiance at Mia Francesca on Clark. I would recommend to singles, couples, groups and families.
We had a business group out for dinner and it was a lot of fun.
Great food, great service... crowded at table and noisy but good value. Just expect loud
Mia Francesca offers quality food with a good variety of entree choices. In my opinion there are a few too many tables which makes it very loud when it's busy, but the food will keep me coming back.
Delicious food with generous portions. Bread and olive oil were great to start. Had the cauliflower which was awesome as an appetizer/salad. Pasta with lobster sauce and shrimp was delightful. We also had a pizza with a soft egg and prosciutto/olives was delightful. We brought home enough for lunch the next day!
Great place. Fantastic service. Kids well taken care of.
OUTSTANDING!! Can't wait to go back. Last time I had Italian so great was when I was in Italy.
Old standby. Always good, never great. Prices have gone up so that there are other choices in town that become options. In the past Mia was always very affordable but prices have creeped up on almost everything. Seems like they are resting on their laurels. Not much new or exciting but always dependable.
Pork chop was like shoe leather, but sauce was good.
My friends and I had a very nice time. Our table was ready. We were served promptly and well and the food was very good!
Sorry. It’s lost it’s luster. Dirty silverware. Dull flavors. Expensive bill.
We asked for a table in a quiet location and we were seated in the smaller building in the rear. It was charming and quiet and fun. Our food was very good. I was disappointed to learn that a few of the items on the menu had been cooked in bacon grease which was not stated on the menu. ( I asked the waiter before I ordered.) I had to change my order a couple of times since I am vegetarian. But once our selections were made we were not disappointed in the food. Our salads, the bread, and our pastas were all delicious. We had two servers, a man and a woman. The man was wonderful; very attentive to our needs without being intrusive and very pleasant. The woman seemed to want to hurry us up. She took my salad plate while I was still eating- I was chewing and still holding my fork and she grabbed my plate! I had to grab the plate back from her. Then she did it a second time with my dinner plate. Instead of asking first, she grabbed my plate and then asked if I was finished as she was lifting my plate away. I found this offensive and ridiculous. Both times she did this I had my fork in my hand and food in my mouth. I was understanding about this the first time it happened but when it happened the second time it really lowered my opinion of the restaurant. Even though our food was delicious, I am not sure I would return to this restaurant because of the "rush" we were given by our female server. We were not lingering over our dinner. We were probably there around an hour from the time we were seated until we the time we left.
When paying close to $20 for pasta you’d expect certain things. Our meals tasted store bought, as if the crust was frozen and the pasta came out of a jar from the corner store. So maybe the money is for the atmosphere. Nope. My cloth napkin was ripped. The waiter didn’t remove our wine glasses after we ordered cocktails and other things that you’d expect would be better for the price. Now it’s not the most expensive place I’m not expecting 5 star service here but I was unimpressed. I’m beginning to question chicagoans yelp reviews.
Consistently excellent! Wonderful food, attentive and courteous service. Never disappointed.
Love the food! Our meal was outstanding. The service was attentive and cordial. A great experience overall. The tables are a bit crowded.
