Miku Restaurant - Toronto
We specialize in innovative Aburi Sushi and seafood. Combining traditional Japanese techniques and flavours with fresh, local ingredients, our highly skilled chefs pair each morsel of sushi with a unique house made sauce in order to bring out the rich flavour profile of the fish, and then seal the flavours with a binchotan (oak charcoal)- accompanied flame sear. The result is the secret to Miku's success: sushi with a smoky aroma, umami flavour, and decadent, melt-in-your-mouth texture.
We also offer a variety of seafood entrées, appetizers, as well as seafood platters.
Our menu is best paired with our extensive sake, wine, and cocktail selection.
Miku Toronto offers one private and one semi-private dining room to suit your dining needs. The hand painted murals by acclaimed Japanese painter Hideki Kimura creates a special ambiance in our private dining rooms, creating one of Toronto’s truly unique and exceptional dining experiencesView Private Dining Details
Excellent food! I try to come here whenever I can.
Really good food! I love the interior design of the restaurant, one of the best in Toronto (if not the Best). It was a lot of fun! Great experience 👌
It Was the second time ans we Would come again tonight
Great food, staff was amazing! 100% recommend!
Tuna belly was very poor quality. Replacement was marginally better. Disappoonted server did not remove from bill. Overall value for the money no longer worth it.
Excellent food and for the quality of the food very reasonably priced. A very extensive sake menu.
The bbq eel and tuna tartare were our favourites.
We sat outside, we were worried about the street noise but it wasn’t a problem as they have barriers that block a lot of the noise.
The staff are very friendly.
I would certainly return on my next visit to Toronto and would recommend this restaurant.
Waiter was excellent, food was excellent, open area with nothing to dampen acoustics, not quiet but acceptable.
Food was spectacular, service was top notch (thank you Dan!) and the patio was peaceful even though it was full. Highly recommended!
Our server Dan was amazing out on the Patio! Passionate, welcoming and gave us great recommendations! This was our second time and we will definitely be back!
This restaurant is a great addition to the Japanese restaurants available in Toronto - and to the Harbourfront area.
It is a bit 'hidden' in an office tower, which requires choosing the right doors to enter into the building if you are dining there outside regular business hours.
They have added a sidewalk patio for the summer season. We sat inside as it was a hot sticky night.
The restaurant is large and lofty. It was very quiet the night we dined (Saturday of Civic long / Caribbana weekend. The service is attentive and I think there is something on the menu for everyone.
They were very kind and made a special 'happy birthday dessert plate' for my friend which was great.
Amazing food, service was awesome! Great place!
Food and service is outstanding. Very fresh and imaginative for all of the dishes we tried. Mostly we decided to share dishes including the mains. No problem from the wait staff in making it easy to share. This is high-end fusion Japanese, not a high-end traditional Japanese. The increased use of sauces, flavorings, portion sizes, and other non-typical Japanese preparations were present throughout all dishes, but it was all delicious. Only complaint is the ambience. The web site promotes the restaurant as an exclusive (expensive) place for discerning clientele including recommending a dress code of smart casual. It's actually a very large bustling and even noisy place and most of the people were wearing regular clothes and shorts and T-shirt would not seem out of place. We did feel overdressed. Also, even with many empty tables and the fact that we made a reservation, we got a middle of the room table in a crowded section when there were plenty of more intimate and appealing than our table. It was a celebration dinner with our family (all adults( and we spent a fair bit of money but the ambience really didn't match the exceptional quality of the food or service. I'd go there again in a heartbeat but my expectations are now better calibrated.
The food at Miku is excellent. We had the set menu which gave us a great selection of beautiful and delicious food. Our service was a bit slow, but the biggest disappointment was the washroom. The ladies washroom, obviously hadn’t been checked all evening. The wastebaskets were overflowing, toilets were unflushed. Our dinner cost about $600 for 4, including tax and tip. At those kind of prices, the washrooms should be pristine.
It was a very nice experience, the service was great good food! I will come back.
Amazing service combined with outstanding cuisine created a memorable experience.
This restaurant is delicious. We went there (family of 4) and we really like the food. We drank sake and that was great with our food. I travelled a lot to Japan and this restaurant is very similar to what we can find in Japan.
Good service, great food. A but expensive, however, the food is delicious. We will definitely return there on our next trip to Toronto.
it was a nice birthday to get a
I enjoyed having lunch here. Great service!
Everyrhing was perfect ! Thanks alot
All are good except the washroom is not flushing properly.
Really enjoyed the aburi selection, best in Toronto hands down. Sushi quality is overall excellent, yiu can tell a lot of care was put into presenting the dishes.
Service was professional and courteous, the staff was very knowledgeable when presenting the dishes to us.
Would recommend this establishment for a date night if you're feeling some quality sushi in a romantic and classy setting down by the harbour.
The food and service was outstanding. The price for summerlicious was around $30 for the set meal. It was worth it. Thank you!
Great food, will come again .Serving time is just right. First-class environment, looking out the window, beautiful enjoyment.
Good overall but the main meal portion and dessert portion were quite small.
Best sushi in the GTA, possibly the best seafood experience as well. Staff always explain the dishes which is nice, very well mannered. Come here if you want to try something new, or want the pinnacle of sushi enjoyment.
amazing service. quality, value, and ambiance
Satisfying experience. Very good quality and presentation of food. Well-trained staff with pro service.
Good food but definitely pricey
I went to Miku for the 2nd time for Summerlicious and ordered the same 3-course menu. I had 4-sets of appertizer Miku Zen+3 other, Kaisen Don as entree and Grand Tea Opera for dessert. The food are so tasty and delicious. You do not need soy sauce or any condiment to enjoy the food. Grand Tea Opera is so delicious! The presentation is amazingly beautiful. Service is excellent and our server is attentive and helpful. I will definitely come back in the future. Miku is one of the finest in Toronto. Highly recommended.
We received great service and the food was incredible. A little pricier than I’m used to for sushi, but the sashimi was incredibly fresh and well prepared and served. Might come back for a date.
Ice tea is nice
Service is good as well
Seated in a room to the side by the entrance - three large tables crammed into a small space meant that the room was very noisy. My table had difficulty carrying on a conversation due to how loud the room was. We tried the Summerlicious menu - everyone had a sushi combination platter to start. Unfortunately, one of the other diners found a bone in their sushi. The server was very professional and immediately offered to replace that piece of sushi. Since we declined, the server instead waived one of our drinks that night. Nothing else stood out during the meal, although the beef entree was too dry.
Summary: great service, but the quality of the food and overall atmosphere was lacking. There are many other Japanese restaurants in Toronto preferable to Miku.
The food and atmosphere were wonderful. So many fresh options and the sauces were delightful. However, for the value the portions might have been bigger.
The front of house was extremely slow and could not find a table despite us having a reservation. The servers on the other hand were excellent.
Stunning restaurant, from the food to the ambience to the service, this restaurant is really a gem. The sushi is delicate and unique. Servers are courteous and informative about the menu. We look forward to returning when we are back in Toronto
Going after the summer fest. Great deal with multiple-layer of tasting at each bite, satisfying. Regular price is rather expensive, good for dating, not recommended for family dinner.
Other than the person who initially showed us to our table and refused to pull out the chair for my wife, everything else was okay!
My wife loves sushi, but the waitress convinced her to get a fish entree. She went with the Miku Roll as an appetizer. LIterally she looked shocked with the first bite and could only say, "Wow!" She said it was one of the single best things she's ever eaten. The rest was very good, also, and the service was wonderful. That said, this quickly became one of my wife's favorite restaurants with one bite. (She hesitated on the last bite...wanting to eat it, but sad it would be gone!)
Amazing food as always
We are so into the Aburi style sushi that Miku creates and it is the main reason we continue to go! We tried the Summerlicious menu this trip and it was great value for 55$. If you're on a budget, don't waste your money and head straight to the Aburi Oshi section on the menu. All three are exceptional and will leave you with such satisfaction.
