Miku Restaurant - Toronto
We specialize in innovative Aburi Sushi and seafood. Combining traditional Japanese techniques and flavours with fresh, local ingredients, our highly skilled chefs pair each morsel of sushi with a unique house made sauce in order to bring out the rich flavour profile of the fish, and then seal the flavours with a binchotan (oak charcoal)- accompanied flame sear. The result is the secret to Miku's success: sushi with a smoky aroma, umami flavour, and decadent, melt-in-your-mouth texture.
We also offer a variety of seafood entrées, appetizers, as well as seafood platters.
Our menu is best paired with our extensive sake, wine, and cocktail selection.
chef's selection of sashimi, kale goma-ae, house pickled vegetables, served with steamed rice
Pan Seared Scallops
yuzu cauliflower couscous, ninja radish, raw and pickled heirloom carrots, bacon marmalade, shiso oil, dashi carrot pure
sockeye salmon, uni, crab, cucumber, rolled in tobiko, Miku sauce
The most incredible sushi in town! Everything is delicious, but the Aburi Oshi dishes are to die for! Thank you!
Miku never disappoints!!! Thee best sushi in Toronto. We tried the tasting menu this time. Presentation of each course was beautiful, food was delicious!
Had an amazing experience where we got a 5-course meal of different bites from all around the world!
The chef select bento box is excellent, great addition to the menu!
Great value and service
Service a bit slow but still ok. Perhaps cuz we ordered the Kaikesen(?) fixed price menu. Enjoyed food & ambience in window banquette.
High quality fish, worth the price. Toro melts in your mouth 👌🏽
Birthday and st valentine
We ordered the chefs menu which was very interesting, delicious and well executed. We really enjoyed the suggested wine and sake pairings. The server was very knowledgeable and conscientious. Will definitely return.
Great experience with amazing food!
We really enjoyed our food here at Miku, the aburi sushi were something out of this world. Best sushi we had so far!
Service was very quick overall and every server was attentive. I made a note for a booth during my OpenTable booking, and that was accommodated right away. I also requested for an anniversary note which I assumed might’ve been missed. I did not mention it during dining and was pleasantly surprised when dessert came
The sushi is awesome!!! This place is pricey for dinner, but if you are thinking about a late night vibe, this is the place to come. You can get a sushi roll around $25 plus 3 sake for $25.
high quality japanese food, aburi sushi for the win!
Expensive but amazing food, attentive service and very good ambience. I tried vegetarian food and wasn’t expecting much but they surpassed my expectations!
Sushi was great. All other items were okay. Our waiter was amazing. However, was not feeling the ambience of the room.
I love this place. The Winterlicious lunch menu never fails. It showcases all Mikus best menu items.
Came for Winterlicious, had a wonderful experience. The set meal was great and service was fantastic.
The service was good. The food was lower quality compared to before. The price of wine was too high.
Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had in Canada.
If you’re a soya sauce dipper you won’t need to dip here
Enjoyed the Winterlicious 2020 set menus. Great time and place to meet up with friends!
Miku may be pricy, but the quality of its food (and the general experience) warrants it.
This is even more true during Winterlicious when Miku doesn't skimp on the quality and delivers one of the best value experiences of the season.
The decor is minimalist other than the charming fish art installation at the back. Their Oshi Zushi in particular stands out, but you would do well to also give their main courses a try as well. The Green Tea Opera cake should be for desert -- the other desert options we had were good, but the weakest link in the food chain that evening. Their sake selection is impressive, and while feeling quite ridiculous on the markup for certain items, they have a very palatable and generously sized house sake available for a reasonable cost. From the single earl-grey + Japanese whiskey cocktail I had, it seems their cocktail program is adequate, and competitively priced with other higher-end dining locations. Service was timely, and the waiter was polite and friendly enough, but nothing stood out. I know Winterlicious is a mass-production engine, but at an establishment like this, I kind of expect that extra something-something.
Overall though, this is a "highly recommend". We'll be coming back for regular a-la-cart dining on the next special occasion.
Loved the three course tasting menu for winterlicious. It was a perfect amount of food for lunch and everything was delicious. There was one piece of sushi that was very fishy tasting which isn't my favorite but it didn't overwhelm the rest of the menu. Loved it!
Food was amazing, spicy salmon sushi excellent, must try it!
Was there for winterlicious and it was great!
Overall the food was excellent. The server explained everything well. Portion wise, it would have been a bit better.
sushi, sashimi, desserts were great
entrees could have been better
Everything is fanatic. The only thing I have a bit complain was the soup was too salty for me. Other dishes are amazing.
The portion for Winterlicious lunch is too small especially the dessert dish.
Great experience! Highly recommend! I ordered the Winterlicious Lunch manus : Sashimi Selection /Signature Aburi Sushi Plate /Green Tea Opera . Everything is perfect!
Portions good. Didn’t really like the flavours, too heavy handed. Some of the sushi was fishy. I hated the scallops, they’re like the random Ayce scallops that are made from ground up seafood.
We went for winterlicious! Service was great and food was awesome. They had a special menu for vegetarians. So worked well for us! However, the lady at the front desk/reception could have been friendlier (was rude to be honest).
Apart from the rude welcome, rest of the experience was a 100 percent.
Great restaurant! Tasty Japanese food made in unique ways. The flavours are quite different from a lot of other Japanese restaurants you'll find, but the price point is indeed high.
Winterlicious is an excellent time to try all sorts of Miku’s amazing dishes! The servers are knowledgeable and friendly ... and the atmosphere is always energetic. Miku is a wonderful spot for lunch or dinner!
Excellent service for a special birthday night. Love the sushi. Very original and tasty with lovely presentation. Thank you!
