Miku Restaurant - Toronto
We specialize in innovative Aburi Sushi and seafood. Combining traditional Japanese techniques and flavours with fresh, local ingredients, our highly skilled chefs pair each morsel of sushi with a unique house made sauce in order to bring out the rich flavour profile of the fish, and then seal the flavours with a binchotan (oak charcoal)- accompanied flame sear. The result is the secret to Miku's success: sushi with a smoky aroma, umami flavour, and decadent, melt-in-your-mouth texture.
We also offer a variety of seafood entrées, appetizers, as well as seafood platters.
Our menu is best paired with our extensive sake, wine, and cocktail selection.

Everything was good. Appreciated that the manager stopped by to check with us if we enjoyed the food.
Great service. Good food - small portions. Great atmosphere.
Very tasty sushi 🍣 and really good service 👌 also the ambience was good 👍
This was our third dinner at Miku and our first experience with the summer menu. The taste sensations are memorable in comparison with ordinary sushi. Service was impeccable.
Great food. The only thing that made the experience bad were the flies that kept hovering over our table. I guess unavoidable when you have a patio door constantly opening.
Very good dinner, everything we ate was good. The lady that attended us was nice and polite. Will go back anytime.
AmaZing as always! Great food, great service and managed to make a frustrating situation into an amazing birthday celebration. Kudos to the manager on shift for definitely making things right. We will definitely be back!
I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Japanese Food. The food are really good, dessert is excellent.
Only that it would be great if they have Japanese Style Green salad.
Great food and dining experience as usual. Service was great. Torched sushi and soba seafood noodles were delicious.
Loved the food the selection of food and beverage choices. Loved trying new and interesting foods and drinks. The desserts rocked my world. 👌🏻
Every plate we had was tasty and delicious. The specialty drinks were amazing.
We were very disappointed with our experience at Miku. We made our reservation noting two food allergies with guests we were dining with, a nut and seed allergy, and an avocado allergy. The restaurant called us the day of to confirm the reservation and I discussed the allergy with them- they did state some of the food they could not guarantee, but when I said we would likely just have sushi/sashimi they said it would be okay. After ordering the waitress came back and said that the same source is used for all sushi rice so all of the sushi rice is likely cross contaminated and there is no way they could ensure that the food we received is allergy free. This was only brought to our attention AFTER we had ordered appetizers, and since we were going to see a musical that evening we did not have time to leave and have dinner somewhere else. Please note if you have allergies that this restaurant IS NOT allergy friendly and front line staff seem unaware that they cannot accommodate allergies!
This was our first time at Miku. The Staff was exceptional, very attentive and very much contributed to the dining experience. Both the nigiri and sashimi were excellent as was the octopus. We found some of the speciality dishes a little under whelming. It is not inexpensive, but overall a very good dining experience and we are definitely planning on returning.
It's the third time I have eaten at Miku. What I find is that there are some really good dishes and some really bad dishes. It is definitely not consistently good
Food was delicious, and very fresh as always! Service was really great too!
They tend to make too much fuss about their cuisine which is really ok. There are better high class Japanese restaurants where you can really experience new tastes.
Tried this restaurant in Vancouver few years ago and was happy to introduce their crafted sushi to my family.
The Oshi sushi rice foundation may be reduced when only one layer of fish. The rice was a little too thick from my first experience in Vancouver.
Other than that all was outstanding!
Miku never disappoints in providing a Japanese fine dining experience. Our sushi was delicate in taste and texture, and undoubtedly prepared with skill and a knowledge of flavors. The ambiance was quiet providing a great environment for happy, reflective conversation with my wife as I celebrated my birthday. The service team was very friendly and accommodating and knowledgeable ensuring our dinner was as we anticipated. Miku is an A+ for me and a great Downtown Toronto experience.
An absolutely wonderful dining experience! The staff are exceptional. I have a lot of food allergies and they were so accommodating. The food was both creative and delicious. I highly recommend the Miku five course meal and the seafood platter. We will definitely return!
Miku is often our “go to” for special occasions. No more so than our recent visit for a celebratory lunch with friends. The Miku team was wonderful, particularly Caleb, who looked after our every need. They made a special day, a special memory. The food, as always, was spectacular. The lunch tasting menu was the perfect option and a good value. Love, love, love, Miku!
The food and the service were fantastic. The sushi was fresh, very well prepared and beautiful. There are a number of unique dishes on the menu which make this place special.
Lovely me and thee server and chef were extremely attentive to my very serious food allergy. It was a wonderful experience and I would definitely dine there again.
Great place for business lunch! Great service and food.
Had a wonderful feast here with colleagues. Excellent array of platters and dishes to share so everyone was able to try everything. The wine and sake flowed and the service was exquisite. A very delicious evening to showcase Toronto as a foodie city.
Went to Miku to celebrate my husbands birthday. Absolutely wonderful experience. The food was a delight. So authentic and a wonderful treat for our taste buds. The sake variety is extensive too. Service was very proactive ,cooperative, prompt and pleasant. Overall superb experience. Good job guys!
Very special day but didnt get offered even a dessert, jabistro did it for us with much on better service
Great lunch. Food was exceptionally prepared, attention to details and presentation. Server was prompt, polite and unobtrusive. Would highly recommend as a business spot or on a personal level. Everyone worked collaboratively. Well done
My friends called ahead two times to ensure there will be a surprise for my birthday and they told the waiter who is the birthday girl so they could write my name on the dessert. There is no name on my dessert so one of my friends talked to the manager and asked for the reason why and told him there is no need to apologise at the table because the birthday girl is there. The waiter came to apologise before the scoop of ice cream with happy birthday on the plate came so it is really embarrassing. Quite disappointed and hoped for better arrangement. The food is fair and the atmosphere is good.
They were great as always... Couldn't expect different
Great date spot, went here for my husband's birthday and our 1st wedding anniversary (its on the same day) so that worked out great for us. Restaurant staff added a really nice touch on the dessert plates to acknowledge both celebrations. We ordered the Aburi Kaiseki dinner, it's really well done, the food is delicious and we were full from it too. Would definitely recommend Miku for date night dinners or special occasions.
To celebrate my girlfriend birtheday
Pricy but definitely worthy!
The food was absolutely amazing and memorable. Although it was quite pricey, we couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate my girlfriend's new job! Miku is hands down a perfect choice for a dinner date!
Morgan our wait staff was excellent and very welcoming and helpful when it came to ordering the fusion items on the menu. He was very friendly and easy to talk with. Being of Japanese descent, I felt the pairing of certain items very different, the pressed sea food sushi was tasty but not exactly authentic. My Sablefish entree was just okay, felt like it was watery and steamed with no taste whatsoever. Highlight of the night was the complimentary blueberry icecream which was well presented.
Noisy and expensive but would definitely go back. The sushi and rolls were very good. The (real) mint ice cream was top notch. No soy sauce or wasabi is served but it was not missed. Also enjoyed the Sake and the Japanese whisky. The Scallops app was a little skimpy and unimpressive for the price. No quail's egg.
Great service and amazing food!
Fantastic family dinner; excellent food and service. Thank you Miku
Our waitress was great! She was very friendly and knowledgeable about what they had to offer, she checked on how we were doing and if the food was great almost every time we had new food put on the table. We ordered the Kaiseki Aburi plus a smoked octopus starter and some sushi, then we finished off with the matcha ganache cake and elderflower dessert, it was very refreshing with a fruit salad buried inside it.
My daughter graduation lunch. The staff were wonderful and the food delicious. We were left to enjoy our memories with minimal intrusion but attention to our needs and experience.
