Staff was amazing. Very helpful & knowledgeable in food & menu. Everyone was very nice. The food was excellent. My girls loved the Brussels sprouts & sushi rice. They also loved the saikyo cod. We all really liked the tsukemono - so glad we could order it off menu. Sushi and seafood were very fresh. Everything was done very well. It’s always hard dining with two kids but the night went very well and I had a great time celebrating my birthday. Thank you!
Great food! We were there for a celebratory dinner
Excellent food and service. One of the best Toronto restaurants we've been to.
Delicious sushi and amazing presentation! It is definitely the best sushi place I have been to so far. Would go there again for sure!
Fantastic sushi - a religious experience!
I made a reservation and was seated later then my confirmed time. I had to follow up with the staff about when we could actually get to our table.
Prior to being seated I asked if we could wait at the bar area and was told seating was fairly packed, when I got there with my guests it was the complete opposite.
The food was also cold and the sushi had huge amounts of rice. Based upon the prices and overall value, I would rather dine at Blowfish.
Beef dish was excellent. Lava cake dessert was great. Otherwise the actual Japanese food was very poor. Rolls were soft in texture, left a metallic “fishy” aftertaste and sushi also didn’t taste right. Salmon with skin on just tasted “off”. Won’t return.....not my cup of tea.
One of the best place for premium sushi - will return very soon!
I like a variety of seafood in the form of rolls. There were few roll options and few seafood roll options. I heard it's great for the hardcore sushi people.
Great service and food as always.
Fantastic food, taste and presentation were perfect! Confirmed for us that it's the #1 Sushi restaurant in Toronto, and the best we've been to in the world!!
Been here many times and it always impresses me. Service was perfect and the food was very delicious! Will definitely come back for more.
Amazing service and delicious sushi. Definitely will go back again
We had one of our top ten meals of all time here last night. I would recommend the Aburi Prime menu; this gives you small portions of several of the items on the menu before the main dish, which was nine different pieces of aburi sushi. This is the first time I've had aburi sushi not in the oshizushi style, and it was a revelation. They were also very gracious about accommodating my shellfish allergy. Decor is modern, and I appreciated the fact that there was plenty of space between tables, at least by downtown Toronto standards. Service was impeccable. This is first five star rating that I've given on Google, and it was also one of four or five out of several hundred reviews that I've written for Tripadvisor
Family day dinner
Just like the Vancouver location, absolutely fantastic, knowledgeable caring staff, and probably the best Sushi in...well probably Ontario.
Horrible service. Slow to be waited on, not that busy. No excuses.
Absolutely fantastic from the food to the service.
We found Miku while on vacation in Vancouver and were happy to hear about the location right here in Toronto. The service was polite, attentive and the right amount of “rush”. Food was creative, delicious and right on par with the Vancouver location. Fresh and unique, we sampled the aburi torched sushi. We have had nothing like it, its a reason to come back! Our only disappointment was the view in Toronto which is nothing to get excited about. Its the sidewalk. That’s it. What could they do? Add some greenery around the windows? Provide some more visual interest inside to detract from all the concrete? Prices are also sky high so this is really a special occasion resto not a place on frequent rotation.
great restaurant, food was very tasty, would come back
Great food and service. Highly recommended.
Great service and nice ambiance. The food was Ok, but you can definitely get way better for your money at MANY other restaurants in Toronto in terms of food. Plus add $20 For parking next door. No other parking nearby
Great place if you wanna go with your significant other on a great date! From the moment you walk in. The place is not overly decorated yet elegant, seating is comfy, food is fantastic. Your server will also explain to you your dish and what’s their cuisine is about which I find really nice and appreciate. Service is great and they’ve done a great job picking their servers. Prices are in the high side but that’s not your everyday go to dining restaurant. Don’t know about their wine selection since I don’t drink. All in all great experience and atmosphere. Definitely going back again.
One of the best sushi places in Toronto in terms of quality. Portions tend to be on the small side.
Miku Zen was great, generous portion as well. Green Tea Opera is a must!
Keep up the good work! Excellent experience
The excellent experience starts from the reservation stage, though i made the booking online when i called to change the reservation details, the operator was professional to retrieve my information and assist all the way without hassle. On the day we were being well-taken care starting at reception, everybody is so nice especially the lady serving us was superb, we really had a great night there.
My first time and my girlfriend's first time dining at Miku Restaurant. This was the best meal I've had in a while (Aburi Kaiseki - $190.00 each). The flavours were extraordinary and the presentation was great. I liked the dinnerware Miku used to present each course and it was nice to have the chef who prepared particular courses visit our table to personally describe the dish and suggest how to eat it. Our waitress was very friendly and always had a smile on her face - she looked like she enjoyed where she was working very much. All courses were sent out at perfect timing intervals. I have no complaints for Miku Restaurant. Halfway through our Aburi Kaiseki meal, we already knew we wanted to come back. A "wow" factor in each course is what I look for in a tasting menu - something that makes the dish unique from other restaurants - and that's exactly what I found within Miku's Aburi Kaiseki. Needless to say, I would highly recommend this to anyone.
Larger and more interesting interior than it might appear from the outside when walking by. Lots to choose from. We enjoyed the kaiso seaweed salad with candied sockeye salmon, the spicy sesame edamame, the Kyoto saikyo miso baked sablefish, the Aburi oshi sampler - a sushi trio sampler (enough for 2 to try all 3 types), and those desserts, of which we had the green tea opera and the warm valrhona matcha chocolate fondant. That was quite a meal. Of our choices I would say that the sablefish and the fondant were the best, although the opera was not bad and apprently took 72 hours to make. The searing of the sushi did not seem to make too much of a difference. The appetizers we had were good but not really memorable. The server helped with making a balanced meal after we made some initial choices.
Service was beyond great, everyone kept checking up on us so we never had to wait to call our waiter. Food came quickly. Everything looked great and the food was really fresh.
Great value during winterlicious. Aburi salmon oshi (The one with jalapeno)tastes so good
We had the 2018 Winterlicious menu for lunch this past week. Food again was excellent - I also had winterlicious here last year. Fills you up, great variety of food with an assortment of 4 dishes for the appetizer; akuri sushi for entree and their excellent 7 layer green tea opera cake for dessert. I would go back for winterlicious again if I could get a table.
Service was good except for our waitress.
Hands down the best sushi I've had in Toronto! The service was excellent, and despite the restaurant being completely full, it was not noisy at all. We went for Winterlicious to try it, and I would definitely spend the money to go for the regular menu. Can't wait to go again!
As always, we had a fabulous time at Miku. The Winterlicious menu was both visually appealing and delicious. The service was 5 star as well. Miku continues to be one of my favourite restaurants.
The menu and service was amazing as usual.
excellent food! really enjoyed the Winterlicious lunch
Great food, very fresh and tasty.
They are amazing.. As always, it was perfect... Can't complain at all
Outstanding sushi. Tables in the sushi bar area are too close to each other, you can’t help but hear conversations at neighbors table....
