About Miku Restaurant
We specialize in Aburi, or flamed-seared sushi, which was developed nearly a century ago in Japan. The act of applying fire directly and lightly searing sushi enhances the natural flavours and textures of the fish. Miku owner Seigo Nakamura innovated the Aburi concept by crafting specialty sauces using non-traditional Japanese ingredients to pair with each type of fish. The light sear from the binchotan (Japanese bamboo charcoal) then caramelizes the sauce, releasing a smoky aroma and bringing out the finest flavours in each piece of Aburi sushi.
Miku Restaurant is within walking distance from the Pan Pacific Hotel, Canada Place, Fly Over Canada, Cruise Ship Terminals and Sea Bus.

Miku Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Had a great time.sevice was excellent.cant wait to go back
The food was exceptional and the food was very creative. All in all a very good experience.
It was good
Very disappointed overall. It was a celebration lunch for our childrens' birthdays and I had indicated that on the reservation. The servers made no notice of this exciting event, 16 and 19, milestone birthdays and overall I felt that we were being processed through a machine not a dining experience.
Amazing food. The best sushi. Attentive service. The special zen tasting menu was fantastic. Would come back in a heartbeat
Service was great and love the light open spaces. Food is always enjoyable and we appreciated the server’s patience and understanding working around our business meal. Was a bit noisy as we sat by the bar but I should have realized that when we first sat down.
Awesome! Great restaurant
Great atmosphere for a business lunch. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Amazing food + amazing service = amazing experience!
Our server was Thomas, he has been there for over 5 years and he was everything you could ask for in a server, and then the food... it was the best sushi we have eaten in the world, and we have tried the best sushi from Montreal, Toronto, and Brazil.
Hands down the best sushi I’ve ever eaten. Amazing experience all around. Highly recommend the tasting menu with matching liquor/wine tasting.
As usual, the food was simply amazing. The server was really great, although some items took more time than average to arrive (even for simple items). That said, it was still amazing and worth the wait. Although this was not my first time, I was still pretty shocked that a place like Miku would charge for green tea. I think management should seriously consider removing the charge. It seems...for lack of a better word, cheap. I don't want to end it on a negative note, however, so I will do a quick shout out to the Aburi items on the menu. These signature pieces are a must when you go to Miku.
Great views form this restaurateur where the sushi quality is great. However, it doesn't blow you away as some other establishments may.
This place is so over rated. I was truly disappointed with the sushi here. I ordered the sashimi, chef’s special sushi combo, and the salmon pressed sushi. I was told to not add anything to the food since the chef has done so. Well, it lacked favour and sauce. We had to ask for soy and wasabi. The rolls on the combo were very disappointing since I wasn’t sure if I was eating a whole lot of vegetables or sushi. Overall, I will not be back and spend my money else where. Can’t compare to morimoto.
Another great meal at Miku. Service was great right from the moment we walked in the door. Were seated in the back of the restaurant with a great view overlooking the Sails of Canada Place and the water.
Our server was very helpful and attentive, but never gave the feeling of hovering over our table. He helped with the selection of our menu items and drinks and the service staff were great in quickly and elegantly preparing our food. As it was a birthday celebration, they even plated a dessert platter for the birthday girl.
Once again proving Miku is a go to place for a great meal of any kind.
Our server Abbie was amazing and we chose to have the kaisen dining experience and sake flights. It was a great choice and we hope to be back again the next time we are in Vancouver!
Food is ok service is not so good as before
Best Sushi in Vancouver. Best Sushi in Vancouver.
The food was excellent and, somehow, we got the best seat in the house--it was perfect. My date loved it. :)
Always fresh and amazing service and food! Worth the price and we always bring our clients here for the experience. Thank you Miku!
My date had never tried aburi sushi, so Miku was a treat.
Superb. Amazing food. Authentic, Tasty, Classic. Great service
I would like to bring my customers go to Miku for business meal, the view is awesome, the service is great and dishes are all delicious, of course the price is not cheaper. But for business, I don't want to pick the cheap restaurant for my clients.
The only thing is very difficult to get reservations, I have to book at least 2 weeks ago to secure the table. And due to many customers, it's a little bit noisy.
Overall, Miku is my first choice restaurant in DT Vancouver.
My friend and I had good conversations with an awesome view accompanied by friendly service and delicious food, best Sunday ever!
Very good go there at least two times a minth
Great service, fast service and detailed service. Meals came out pretty quick. We had reservations for 8:45pm but they sat us at 7:30pm. Thank you for that. Host, Expo, service, bar team. All strong coordination.
Good food as always
Great gluten free accommodations and amazing service. The food was delicious. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
Fantastic service with great advice. Best sushi rolls ever.
We always pick Miku for special occasions in our family. Service and the food is excellent thats why we keep coming back.
Excellent first experience. The service was great! Checked up on us on perfect times. Very knowledgeable. It was a delight to hear a server ask for any allergens.
It’s a great restaurant and food quality is amazing but it is too noisy as there was a table right across us and kid was watching YouTube super loud but none of the server stop them...
Best Japanese food in Vancouver. Innovative and refreshing dishes.
Great view of the harbour.
Always one of our favorites, Miku has a great location right by the water, and wonderful food and drink is a great way to spend an evening. The restaurant is quite loud, so perhaps not ideal for quiet conversations (although the booths/tables in the back corner are a little quieter than the main restaurant). I still miss the custom tiny pottery sake cups they used to let you choose from, which was a nice touch rather than regular wine glasses. The aburi salmon oshi sushi is worth the trip by itself, but try more!
excellent food, best sushi ever had！ worth to go ! For sure !
This is our second time to this restaurant. The food was not as good as the first time, and the noise level is still very loud.
We went here for my birthday but couldn't stay too long because we had to see a show about an hour and a half after our booking.
The ambience was nice, however there was a lot of noise pollution from the people sitting behind us having an extremely loud conversation and bothering the people on the table next to them.
Service was quick, and the food was absolutely delicious. We'll be coming back definitely, next time we wont schedule a show right after!
Good experience with my gf.
Excellent as always, food is amazing. Not too pricey. Always busy so book in advance or take a seat at the bar.
We always come to this restaurant for special occasions with the family. The view of Canada Place and the water is amazing. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Food quality and presentation are stunning and relatively consistent (we found the Chirashi Tart a bit dry this time). Would definitely recommend Miku for those seeking dining for special occasions or with great view.
