quality food for a good value! our server was very friendly and attentive. would definitely return!
The Sable Fish blew my mind. Lenny was the most professional server I've ever met, you can tell he takes great pride in his career.
We were there for a business lunch but I would recommend for any occasion! The best sushi restaurant in the city hands down!
Miku is one of my favourite places to eat in Vancouver. Every time I am in town I have to eat here. The food is spot on and the service is excellent. It’s always a great experience.
Miku offers an outstanding selection of sushi and Japanese fair.
Location is great, views are good and the food is exceptional.
The wine selection was good and we were lucky to taste an albariño White from Spain that was just perfect accompaniment to the food.
But the noise level is ridiculous, impossible to maintain a conversation and after a while the noise level was physically irritating. Even though the place was not full, close to, but not full.
If you can ask to be seated outside, that will make your dinner just perfect. I do not think is the best place to have a business meal as is impossible to maintain a conversation.
Still the food makes Miku a place you can't miss.
Attention was good, maybe a bit more training about serving at the table.
Food is not as good as it used to be
Great food, great service great location.
We live on Vancouver a Island but we make sure to fit in Miku whenever we are in Vancouver. It is amazing! Everything about it is unique and spectacular. Love it!!
Great service and nice location.
I went there with my husband for an early dinner and we ordered their omakase and signature selection. Our waiter was wonderful but unfortunately we were not very impressed with the food.
I liked the seafood, it was very fresh. I loved the green tea dessert at the end, it was so delicious. The service was nice too, but because there were many people, maybe the servers were a little busy. Thanks!
Quality of the Sashimi/Sushi in general was poor. Their signature dish was tasty but the rest of the food disappointing. Atmosphere, service, etc. outstanding.
It was very nice!
If you like simply made Sushi this is for you. Don’t expect much fish on the rolls.
A sushi restaurant cannot be sold out of all types of toro and still be seating guests. The rolls were inedible.
it was good but just wanted the food to be served all together in one time
If less noisy, this is a very good restaurant for wider occasions.
Great location and views and fantastic flame seared sushi. Worth a visit!
Great foods & excellence service ;)
A great atmosphere for lunch. Just ordered sashimi, some rolls and noodles and all dug in while meeting. We had a booth which was fantastic.
Amazing food! Great place!
The food was amazing and definitely the most unique sushi I’ve ever tried.
We chose this restaurant for our wedding anniversary date.
The food was excellent and our server was awesome. Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant and the view of the port. We ordered off the “happy hour menu” —
The Calamari, Ebi Fritters, and the red wave rolls. It was all delicious.
The initial hostess was really confused - I had made a reservation for later and asked if we could come in earlier because we were really hungry. The restaurant wasn’t busy and she was confused on what to do. Other than that, everything was good.
Miku in Vancouver is a beautiful restaurant with a great view. The food is okay, we were expecting more after reading the reviews. Perhaps it's because we have eaten other sushi that is a lot better, that we weren't impressed with their "aburi", which didn't seem to be anything extraordinary. We expected mouth explosions, but that did not happen at all. Service was pleasant. Open kitchen and crowd created a nice energy without being too loud.
We ordered their Miku Zen, tart and salmon oshi. Everything was delicious, and they were able to tailor to our food restrictions and made everything shell fish free. The price does seem to be on a higher side, but the service and quality of food you get justify the extra bill. I’d skipped the miku zen next time and go for aburi nigiri though.
Celebrating Canada Day, end of school, start of
Summer and great report cards! First time for lunch at Miku - nice lunch menu - beautiful dining room, great vibe. Service excellent!
Excellent food and great service. Lighting and ambience fairly good.
Such a great meal! My fifth time going, I pretty much hit it now any time I’m in area. Fresh fish and delicious menu options. I love their tofu salad (normally not a tofu eater!) and the salmon is something I dream about! Already planning next trip.
Miku was an awesome dining experience. We enjoyed a couple of tasting menus. We were completely stuffed! My husband and I had a different number of courses but they made sure I had something in front of me (miso soup) when my husband had an extra course more than I did. Our server was very knowledgeable about wine and helped us select options that went perfectly with our meal. This was a slow paced dinner so don’t plan anything afterward that you need to get to right away if you choose a tasting menu.
Outstanding service and explanation of specialty dishes. Wide variety of aburi sushi but good options for those who do not like raw fish. Good wine list, great location, and some outstanding special cuisine.
Always excellent food and service here, best japanese restaurant in Vancouver!
The signature style of sushi was delicious but to me, the rice overwhelmed the taste. I ate less rice to enjoy the flavor. The menu was great! Big selection.
This place got rave review from a coworker, but I felt let down after arriving. It was a loud, touristy place with mediocre presentation and spotty quality. The scallop sashimi and Saba sushi were actually very good, but the seaweed salad, and Miku roll were very bland. The sushi plate looked like random items chucked on a plate. We left before we were full, not enjoying the atmosphere or tastes.
Sashimi honestly wasn’t the best especially for the price.
However, the seared salmon was AMAZING. Literally the best I’ve ever had. The service was great and the the vibes felt so good! Overall really really good and I would go again. I just wouldn’t buy their sashimi.
The place had a nice modern feel to it and some great views of the mountains. The staff was attentive and the food was very good. I will say after reading the Yelp reviews, I thought that I was about to have the best sushi of my life. That was not the case, but the preparation was interesting and different. We had a few rolls plus a sampler picked by the chef. We liked everything except the calamari appetizer, which I'd say was average. Overall the experience was good.
Love the fattiness of the Miku Rolls. In fact, it was so good that we ordered them twice. The Green Opera dessert was delicious!
Miku is an excellent place for fine dining. Outstanding food and service. Just enjoy everything here.
Excellent service, beautiful place, the food was amazing. There are some very interesting dishes, I would recommend going for the special lunch, which is a sampler of the different kinds of sushi in the menu and includes a miso soup. The seaweed salad is simply amazing.
Although a bit expensive. The food ( especially ), service and a nice view on the water will make your journey worth it.
Food, ambience and service by the server was great. However, the front door staff refused to call us a cab, in the rain.
Felt like the service stopped when they got our money. For this reason only I won’t be going back or recommending this restaurant.
Such a small detail I know, but it ruined the whole experience.
Loved the modern take on Japanese sushi
