Took my wife here for her birthday. Food was amazing. Especially the salmon oshi sushi. Also our server Miki was super attentive. She definitely made our night even better. 👌👍
Miku is always amazing. Our server did get swamped with a few large tables and our service was atypically subpar, but it was obvious and forgivable. The food and view was amazing as always.
Great service, wait staff and food runners had detailed knowledge of the plates. Our waitress was very helpful with recommending what to choose from the menu for us first timers. Ebi fritters were delicious and sashimi was top quality although cuts were on the smaller side.
Really tasty but the staff visits the table every 30 seconds to 1 minute. The second you finish a bite, your plate will be taken from you. This must be what some people want? But personally, I like half a minute to chat with the person I'm dining with without being interrupted.
Absolutely amazing! All around a great experience and the food is incredible!
I had heard so many great things about Miku but never had the chance to go until this Valentine’s Day I decided to make a reservation. Our experience was amazing. The service was superb and the food was great. We loved everything about our night. Thank you Miku.
Food was exceptional! Was interesting to try Sea Urchin for the first time. Sushi rolls were some of the best I’d ever had. Sake sampling was a highlight of the meal. Our waiter was very knowledgable when answering any questions we had! We will be back next time we are in Vancouver!
Great valentine’s lunch!
I had a horrible experience at Miku.
Mediocre food and terrible service. I will not be returning or would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Awesome place, but very loud
Who wouldn’t like this place? Food was phenomenal as always and the service was great. The view along the harbour really made the experience special as well.
A friend recommended Miku & it was even better than we had imagined. Ebi Fritters, Miku Roll, Red Wave roll, Salmon Oshi sushi & Green tea Opera cake were EPIC! The prices may be more than most places, but it is definitely worth it. If you really want to impress someone with “wow” factor, great food and service, eat here.
Food was great as always but our server wasn’t the best this time.
Maybe we are just spoiled in Montreal but this restaurant does not meet my expectation. A 4.5 rating was really a 3.5. Sorry but
would not recommend.
We had the Kaiseke menu and it was wonderful! The food was amazing, our server was great and the atmosphere was fantastic. One of our favourite places to eat in Vancouver, we will return!
Family Birthday Dinner...very nice!
High expectations were met: great food and fantastic service! Place was busy and much noisier than I had hoped so not great for intimate conversation... On the pricey side too.
After a few days of sightseeing in Vancouver and dining out at mediocre eateries, my dinner experience at Miku blew me away. I am not sushi-crazy ordinarily, but if all sushi were as spectacular as what I tasted here I would be! The service was friendly and prompt, the ambiance fun but not frenetic, and the dazzling waterfront view out the window made everything all the more festive. Loved the slightly seared sushi choices, buttery soft scallops with a sort of pineapple salsa and garlicky noodles with fresh seafood. If there were a Miku in my hometown it would be my go-to feel-great restaurant.
Best sushi I’ve had in Vancouver. Beautiful views and delicious cocktails too.
Sushi is marvelous. Dessert is also nice. But the seafood plate is normal.
They put acian people together, we six adults and got there at very early at 5, they put us at very limited space table, we asked for change, they tell us all booked.. then they started to introduce today’s spcial $280 per piece steak, would not go back for sure.
Our 10 year anniversary. Really appreciated that they acknowledged that with a window seat, special dessert etc. Great service, great food yet again. Thanks Miku.
Loved the dinning experience. Was abit pricey considering only one glass of wine was purchased.
Would only go back for a special occasion. Lunch is much more reasonable.
Love the chef’s special! Would recommend this to friends!
This was my third time here and my experience was extremely good! Excellent service with creative food!
Food was good but dishes came out way to slow and far in between, which became very frustrating. Pacing was way off.
Dessert was fantastic!
The food is very delicious！the staff are friendly. Better make reservation, otherwise may not get a table as this place seems always busy.
First time visiting Miku. Food was out of this world delicious. Service was great.
Some of the best sushi I have ever had (and easily the best in Vancouver). Service, food and atmosphere all top notch.
The food was fresh & excellent. The service was good. Very nice waterfront view. This is one of my favorite restaurant. Highly recommend.
The food was absolutely divine, including the desserts, and our server was very attentive. A little pricey but worth every penny!
Excellent service, good view & food!
Popped in for lunch with my wife. This place never disappoints
Wonderful service, amazing food, good value for the quality, would definitely come back.
Excelente, todo muy bien
Coming from Montreal, we always make sure we make a trip to this restaurant when in Vancouver. Unfortunately we were disappointed...food was ok , actually it looked like the restaurant downgrade it’s quality i. All aspects. Will not return ☹️
This is my second experience at this Miku location, third experience total including the Toronto location. Overall, my experience with tastes at the Toronto location was far better. This is upsetting because it shows inconsistency.
Ebi fritters: I love this appetizer! The prawns were huge, juicy and piping hot! The batter was crispy and it made all the crunches. It was really delicious.
Kaisen Soba Peperoncino: If I were to re-name the dish it would be "chow mein with Japanese noodles". It had the aroma and taste of chow mein, which, do not get me wrong, wasn't bad, but not worth the value at all! The only pro about this dish was the variety of seafood there was in it. I probably would not get it again.
Aburi sushi: This is their staple, and the reason why I came to Miku. I have had all three off the menu. Salmon is my favorite out of three. My first experience here tasted amazing. There was a perfect fish to rice ratio, and everything melted into my mouth. I was in heaven. This time, the rice was cold and there was not enough salmon/Ebi so it tasted like I was just eating big chunks of cold rice. It is inconsistent.
Sashimi Platter: Fish depends on the day. If I recall correctly, I got nine pieces of fish. Two of my disappointments - yellowtail was a little fishy, and sadly, Otoro!!! I have had way better. Not the best sashimi platter I ever had but overall it was good, not amazing. Good for the value.
Moscow mule: I regretted this. This was tasteless, I felt like I was drinking another glass of water.
Service: Our waitress was great. She was very friendly, descriptive and patient with any questions we had.
Overall, I walked out really disappointed and felt so sorry towards my boyfriend for such a mediocre experience after raving about Miku for so long. We were in BC for a whole week snowboarding and decided to save his actual birthdate to come to Miku to celebrate for dinner. It was disheartening.
Wonderful experience. Didn't know what to expect, just looked at the reviews online and went from that. Turned out to be a great place for me and my date. Definitely recommended.
