We had reservations for 6pm. We were seated at 6pm, but the server didn't come by for about 30 minutes. We ordered drinks, an appetizer and our meals. It took another 20 minutes for the drinks to be served. Then a while longer (about 20 minutes) for the appetizer. We were not finished our appetizer when 2 or our 3 meals arrived. The third meal shortly came after that. The food tasted very good and the portions were large. But the server was very inattentive and did not have much conversation with us. It seemed that the server was not well trained for the job. We had specified on the reservation that this was a birthday event but the server did not acknowledge anything and we didn't stay for dessert.

Normally we have very good meals at Milestones--esp on Iris street or Sussex Drive in Ottawa. Lansdown did not meet that usual standard at all. Seems like no alcohol in the mojitos, no pecans in the beet and goat cheese salad, ahi tuna salad really weird (tuna seemed partially cooked as opposed to the sushi i was expecting) and did not eat it at all so disappointed in it (nice the dessert was comped for this problem), two ocean cakes were overpowered by the breading. Only meal that was good was my husband's chicken and portobello mushrooms and the white choc cheesecake dessert. it was nice to get water when we arrived but we had to ask for pepper and salt and also a spoon for the spaghetti on chicken meal.

The food really let us down. All the meats were dry (chicken, fish, etc.) and also lacked seasoning. The rice with 3 colour quinoa was really sticky and bland. Service was friendly but we felt they forgot to check on us after bringing it the food to see if we needed salt/pepper, spoons for the pasta etc.

We were served by 3 people who all were rude and could not put a smile on their face. We felt we were disturbing by being there. Our table (and special request) was not even reserved! We left and switched restaurant! We lived the food before and service but this time around was disappointing! We will not return!

Disappointed that brunch was to end at 3pm as stated on the website & on the actual menu but at 1:50pm the restaurant refused to serve brunch, stating the hours had just changed to end at 2pm so we ended up having lunch. Appetizers were great but main meals were just okay. Our server could have paid a little more attention to our table. Overall, lunch was okay and the ambience was nice.

Milestones staff and food has impressed me before, but not this time. The place was busy, but staff seemed stressed and a bit overwhelmed. My salad was over-dressed and had spoiled strawberries on it. My husband ordered chicken Parmesan which was terribly dry and the pasta was bland and overcooked. My son ordered the sea bass which was good. And tempura vegetable starter was a great portion and tasty. It was hard to get more drinks, and they were a bit small. Overall, for the area and menu, not worth the price. I’ll try again at a different location.

Pros: seated quickly, tasty main meals. Cons: long wait times:to get initial drink order, to receive drinks, to receive appetizer which was lukewarm, to place order for mains, to receive mains and to receive the bill (had to go to bar to receive the bill) We did not order a second drink, desert or coffee because we were not asked. FYI, I recommend the Sussex location. This is not the first time that we receive terrible service at this location.

First time visiting the Lansdowne location, but not my first experience with Milestones. But after this experience, I can clearly see that Milestones is not staying relevant with the numerous competitors of similar value in the area. After making a reservation, and arriving on time we were warmly welcomed, but asked to wait...although the restaurant did not appear all that busy. Once we were ready to be seated, we were asked if it was ok to be seated indoors, and no problem with that despite it being a beautiful evening. To our surprise, we were seated in the far back of the restaurant (depressing), and in a high traffic area, despite the indoor area being virtually empty. Great for a date night! (Not)... After being seated, the waitress did manage to bring water in two plastic picnic glasses. After approximately 10-15 minutes, nobody came by to take a drink order, so we asked to be seated at the bar. We were warmly greeted by the bartender and the staff in the bar area. When we ordered our drinks, they were out of many types of beer, and no longer serving certain cocktails that were clearly on the menu. After about 7 attempts, we finally were able to order drinks that they had in stock - we then promptly ordered our dinner. The food took a while to arrive, but it was poorly presented and not terribly hot (more lukewarm). Overall, the restaurant looked tired and worn, and the tables and chairs were sticky.

Honestly, it was concert night and it felt like it with the quality of the food that came out. Also my Caesar didn’t have all the add-ons that were in the menu. I have been many times to milestones, and it has been great in the past. And our server was great! Just wasn’t impressed this time.

The service was a little slow and our waiter was barely on the patio. The majority of the time he was inside and we couldnt ask him for more drinks or food. Apart from that, the spinach dip & chips was extremely salty but everything else was delicious. Ambiance is good and music is well chosen. The waiters are kind and hostess' seat you quickly.

No staff!! Our waitress was wonderful, but she had so many tables that she did not have time for anything. Steak was not cooked and no one came by (saw no staff). All the food was only warm. Each meal came out separately. Again, the best our waitress could do. No help!

haven't been in since COVID started . went for my anniversary May 2,2022 as our usual place at Landsdown and it changed owners/ cook and the quality of the food has decreased . shoe string fries tasted old and like fish and cold, steak was cooked to my liking but very tuff and warm and tasted a bit charred. At least 10 items on the menu were not available. So look at menu online decide then call before making reservations , u may have to change your choice . Over priced for sure for no reason

We visited Milestones for a pre-show dinner. Our event was starting at7:30pm at TD Place and we booked a reso for 5:30pm. We were sat on time however the server had 4-5 new tables and it took 5 min or more before we got greeted. Also, it took over 20 minutes to receive our drinks. Our food was also slow coming out and we received the wrong main dish which happened to be a mistake from the server. We ate the dish anyway because it tasted good. We didn’t want to delay our wait any longer. Finally, I ordered a glass of red wine before dinner and didn’t get it at all. When I asked about, I was told that they were out. My wife also had to drink her glass of wine in a tumbler because they had no more wine glasses that were clean. Food and atmosphere were good, but the service between front and back of house did not meet our expectations. We’ve been to Milestones numerous times and this is not usually our experience, so we will return and try again. Maybe it was simply a bad night.
