Great spot for a before-the-game meal. They cater to the sports crowd by ensuring you have your food in good time. Food is very good - burgers, Mac and Cheese are solid standby's. Good selection of mainstream draft beers.
Overall great experience and vibe at the Travern. The service was great, all were friendly, and the food exponential. Perfect place for before a game at Scotia Bank Arena since it is right across the street!
Great venue. We went before Leafs game. Happy Hour is worth it.
Over priced , mediocre food. The chicken pot pie had a hard crust , no chicken to be found ,was more like soup. $36. Burger was tasteless . $29. You have a nice place, but what you are offering is grossly overpriced. I understand all restaurants have all experienced an unprecedented upheaval for the past 20 months, but delivering a substandard product at a premium price is unlikely to produce customer goodwill or any sustained level of success. I attended your establishment many times prior to the pandemic. It is unlikely I will return. I would be happy to engage with any of the principals . You have my contact information.
What a great experience. I little pricy but you pay for what you get so understandable.
I will definitely be back! The service was top notch - made us feel as if we were VIP's. Our server Kenny (and the manager Mike) gave us great recommendations on the dishes we had an awesome time! Would not hesitate to take a client there for future meals.
The music as way too loud!! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Great spot before going to a concert. Food and service awesome!
Waitress was great only real issue was the side order of brussell sprouts had to be asked about and we didn't get until entrees where half to three quarters eaten. Poor timing as this was to be a shared vegetable dish
We went for lunch and had the best service. The food was delicious.
Good food, kind pricey for what it is though. Not bad
Perfect place for a quick dinner and drink before the game. (5 minute walk)
Good service, good food.
Great service and food was superb. I'm super picky and the attention to detail from the servers was top shelf.
Highly recommend and worth the drive into Toronto.
A bit expensive for what you get - need a few more draft beer options
Awesome place friendly and nice and great food good place to go before a event or after just steps away from Scotiabank arena
The menu has changed since we were last here. It has been condensed & the prices have definitely increased as well. The food was great as per usual & that is why we continue to come back! Dinner for 2 with drinks will be $225+
Was an excellent night. We were out in Toronto to celebrate friends anniversary. The server in the staff made sure the evening was amazing thank you so much.
One of the best mid to high range restaurants in the downtown core. Service is professional and friendly. The kitchen is excellent and very quick to correct errors - if any.
Unbelievable experience. Food was amazing. Service was prompt and attentive! Will definitely eat here again and recommend to everyone!
Convenient walking location to Scotia Bank Arena. Great atmosphere.
30mins before we were served or offered water
This is a great spot before a leafs or raps game. Food and service is great. Wasn’t thrilled with having to sit outside. When I arrived, I asked to be put on a list to grab a table
Inside when one became available, I was told I was first on the list and proceeded to see people who came in after me get a table. Normally I would have said something, but we were in a hurry to get to the game.
Great location and wonderful service.
Good service. Friendly staff. Will return again for a birthday
Miller tavern is becoming my go-to spot before a leaf game. Great location, close to parking and arena! Staff always accommodating, hosts are welcoming and food is well presented, not to mention delicious. Prices are slightly high but in line with downtown dining. At least the quality and taste match the price! Thanks for a great pre-game experience!!
Great dinner, great service, perfect start prior to a Leaf Game!
Average food, higher than average prices. Service was good.
Basic food. Good size portions. Attentive service.
Everything was great, except the noise was waaaay too much. I understand it was a Friday night, and the restaurant was full. But between the music and then the patrons having to shout over it, conversation at my table was limited because we were tired of shouting to each other. Couldn’t hear a word our server said, so that was a missed opportunity for him getting to shine a little, as well.
It's been a lo(ooooooooooo)ng pandemic, and you never really know what to expect from restaurants anymore. Will the food quality still be good? Will the serving staff be happy to be there, or completely frazzled and overwhelmed? We're allowed inside restaurants now, but will it ever feel like it used to, BC (before Corona)?
Yes. Yes it will.
The food quality was excellent, which I expected. But the service was fantastic, and that's what's really staying with me, even the next day. Our server (Robert, I believe his name was) was so relaxed and friendly with us - he seemed to actually just enjoy being there. I felt like we were in someone's home, despite the fact that the place was packed with Raptors fans and it looked like most of the tables were full. On top of Robert, there was always someone coming by to remove a dirty dish, or just check on us.
It was the most pleasant dining experience I've had in a long time, and I think we may have just found our pre-game ritual. Steak and the game!
I appreciate the service and the attention to detail. I'm so glad good dining isn't dead!
Very courteous reception
They’re open past 10pm which is nice. The service was very fast, and the food was great!
Poor service. Overpriced. Salty? Caesar salad??? Coffee like dishwater. Ok. I’ll give em a break. But start training your people!
Excellent experience. I will definitely come back
Great food. Nice and close to Scotiabank Arena and Union Station.
Miller’s is always a good place to eat before the game although this time it was just a little off. Getting in was a little slower as was expected with COVID protocols being observed as they should but the wine and mains took longer than we’re used to at Miller’s. Our server was attentive with water and menus right away, friendly, personable and knowledgeable when we asked questions. Calamari appetizer came quickly but the wine and mains took much longer than expected. Nothing that required a complaint but, you shouldn’t have to ask how much longer. To be fair it was game night and they did get a crowd all at once but, we’ve been there before game time quite a few times and this was different.
The best service, great food.
Nice place and you can't beat the location near scotia bank arena. It was just a bit cold as the doors were left open to the patio and it was quite breezy. I would have prefered if they kept the door closed for warmth
