So disappointing! I had the halibut dish (which included the chowder) and both were flavourless. I expected much more, especially for the steep price.
Perfect setting for a couples dinner, amazing service and food; highly recommend
Our server Kenny was wonderful. We shared the rib steak. It was perfect.
Everything was very tasty and well presented --particularly the fries which were the best I've had in a very long time: lovely crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The only misstep was the "sticky toffee pudding", which was rather dry --save for the generous portion of ice cream accompanying it, to wash it down with.
Cannot reccomend enough! Fantastic meal and the best Crab Cake and Steak Tartare in memory!
The team there is excellent.
My new pre-Scotiabank event go to
The food was expensive for what it was. It was tasty, but not extraordinary. Our server was not that attentive - I wasn't offered a warm-up of my coffee and, as we sat for quite a while after lunch, we weren't offered anything else while we were chatting. I am much happier with the Miller in Hogg's Hollow...
Miller is always a great choice before the game. Great food, great service and very conveniently located.
We had 4pm reservations before a Leaf's game due to booking late. The place was dead and you could notice all of the little imperfections of the facility. I was also frustrated that they sat us in a back corner of the restaurant when it was empty. As the guests continued to arrive the ambience improved significantly. The food was really excellent, including the fish, burger and wines by the glass. Our server did not rush us and we had an excellent time.
The quality of my dinner did not meet my satisfaction
My steak was small not much meat to it mostly fat , fries were very salty and seemed to be cooked in heavy oil . I asked to supplement for mash potatoes as steak should not be served with fries
I believe I was over charged for my partners drinks that I noticed the next day
I went by the reviews on your web site and thought I’d give it a try but to my surprise fell short too bad I was so looking forward to a good meal and a great night out but left with an amount of dissatisfaction
Steak was good. A lot more expensive than it should have been. Could go to one of any great Toronto steakhouses and get better value. Be aware the online menu is outdated and some items weren’t available.
We were crammed between two other tables with barely any room. Wasn’t the most comfortable. Seemed like most of the restaurant had booths. If you’re a party of two you may get stuck against the wall crammed with other people.
Service was great
I would go there again before a Leafs Game
Good food only 2shrimp on salad a little dissapointing
The turkey pot pie tasted very good, but it was disappointingly small. The salad that came with it was very nice. The food was good, but expensive. Service was quick, and the staff were nice.
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with how good the food at was here!! This place is a must try!!
Kenny served us and he was great, very accommodating, food was good, still hot when it got to us and didn’t take to long to get to our table.
Amazing service !!!can’t wait to go back :)
Great spot for a before-the-game meal. They cater to the sports crowd by ensuring you have your food in good time. Food is very good - burgers, Mac and Cheese are solid standby's. Good selection of mainstream draft beers.
Overall great experience and vibe at the Travern. The service was great, all were friendly, and the food exponential. Perfect place for before a game at Scotia Bank Arena since it is right across the street!
Great venue. We went before Leafs game. Happy Hour is worth it.
Over priced , mediocre food. The chicken pot pie had a hard crust , no chicken to be found ,was more like soup. $36. Burger was tasteless . $29. You have a nice place, but what you are offering is grossly overpriced. I understand all restaurants have all experienced an unprecedented upheaval for the past 20 months, but delivering a substandard product at a premium price is unlikely to produce customer goodwill or any sustained level of success. I attended your establishment many times prior to the pandemic. It is unlikely I will return. I would be happy to engage with any of the principals . You have my contact information.
What a great experience. I little pricy but you pay for what you get so understandable.
I will definitely be back! The service was top notch - made us feel as if we were VIP's. Our server Kenny (and the manager Mike) gave us great recommendations on the dishes we had an awesome time! Would not hesitate to take a client there for future meals.
The music as way too loud!! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Great spot before going to a concert. Food and service awesome!
Waitress was great only real issue was the side order of brussell sprouts had to be asked about and we didn't get until entrees where half to three quarters eaten. Poor timing as this was to be a shared vegetable dish
We went for lunch and had the best service. The food was delicious.
Good food, kind pricey for what it is though. Not bad
Perfect place for a quick dinner and drink before the game. (5 minute walk)
Good service, good food.
Great service and food was superb. I'm super picky and the attention to detail from the servers was top shelf.
Highly recommend and worth the drive into Toronto.
A bit expensive for what you get - need a few more draft beer options
Awesome place friendly and nice and great food good place to go before a event or after just steps away from Scotiabank arena
The menu has changed since we were last here. It has been condensed & the prices have definitely increased as well. The food was great as per usual & that is why we continue to come back! Dinner for 2 with drinks will be $225+
Was an excellent night. We were out in Toronto to celebrate friends anniversary. The server in the staff made sure the evening was amazing thank you so much.
One of the best mid to high range restaurants in the downtown core. Service is professional and friendly. The kitchen is excellent and very quick to correct errors - if any.
Unbelievable experience. Food was amazing. Service was prompt and attentive! Will definitely eat here again and recommend to everyone!
Convenient walking location to Scotia Bank Arena. Great atmosphere.
30mins before we were served or offered water
This is a great spot before a leafs or raps game. Food and service is great. Wasn’t thrilled with having to sit outside. When I arrived, I asked to be put on a list to grab a table
Inside when one became available, I was told I was first on the list and proceeded to see people who came in after me get a table. Normally I would have said something, but we were in a hurry to get to the game.
