Food was good. Not outstanding for the price. Service was ok.
Even though restaurant was bare for a while due to the virus, we had great service and a good time. The staff were very friendly and the food was filling.
We went to Miller Tavern before a hockey game. The food, service and overall feel was really nice and better than I expected. I was expecting a bar with pub food but the food was better than that. I would definitely go again. Very nice.
Amazing. Great service
Enjoyed the fillets and the tasty cocktails. Perfect pre- Raptor game event!
Will be back.
Enjoyed dinner and drinks prior to the Raptors game. Great oysters as an app. Our mains included petite filet, salmon and fish and chips. All were very good. Enjoyed our specialty cocktails as well.
A true complement to the original, but with downtown flair. Great food and service. Incredibly noisy tho... Don't look for an intimate dinner setting.
Get the mac'n'cheese. Awesome. Everything else was really good too.
Overall experience was excellent. Polite staff, timely service, awesome steak, and a very upscale but relaxed seeming. Good value.
There were only 3/4 other parties in the restaurant. I ordered a steak they only had one left as another table left as they wanted steak. We were surprised but were told it was due to Valentine’s Day. I guess they don’t restock their food daily. My steak was over season and our child ordered fish and chips. The fish was all batter no fish and was over done and over seasoned with some kind of lemon powdered seasoning. Asked for a second beer but it never came but was on the bill. That got corrected but would hate to see how the service would have been if it was a busy night.
Everything was great, ambience, service, food was good. Only complaint is that the desserts were both over done.
Wasn't a big fan of the Scotch olives. But great salad and hen mains. Good drinks. Solid value. Would recommend!
Good food great service for upscale pub fare. Perfect for pregame meal. If only they could help the Leafs learn how to play defence.
Server was a bit gruff and non-reciprocal but hey what can you do. Overpriced of course but very tasty. Good location for a Raps game after.
Oh Toronto, I see you face to face!
Red and black multitude, abounding and jubilant,
I see you also face to face!
Great spot to grab a bite before a game downtown. Limited menu so check it out before you go!
Friendly Staff and food is great our server Kenny is amazing, very attentive and deliver great service
Great location if attending a game.
Great location when going to a Raptors game. Prices were reasonable and very comparable to bars/restaurants downtown. Great service, great food too - ordered steak tartare and it was amazing! Would definitely go back (Bay location).
Had Brunch at the Miller on Sunday afternoon, and it was a very good experience. The brunch menu was great and very good value for the money. Service was fast and friendly and a very nice and warm restaurant that is very close to ScotiaBank Arena.
Music very loud and staff were annoyed that we wanted a new, not as noisy, table. So they made us wait.
Everything was excellent and the service was top notch. The only comment was they were missing a few sea food items that night that our table would of liked to order but unfortunately could not as they were out.
Service was slow. We were going to the game for 7 and had been seated at 5:30 but order was not even taken until 6 and food did not come out until 6:40.
Food was okay. The filet mignon was dry and overcooked. The truffle mac and cheese, brussel sprouts, and oysters were all good.
Great location, great meal, excellent bartender and table service. Well done!
Always a fabulous experience here. I eat here heifer every Leafs game.
The newest menu is an improvement and provides good variety. The Rigatoni is excellent and a bargain.
Out waiter was fantastic, was always checking on us and even provided complimentary Prosecco for my birthday. Will return again for sure!
The place is nice enough, especially for a midday lunch. But the food was terrible. My 'greek salad with chicken' was a plate full of mushy tomatoes, a few slices of red onion, small square of feta and bland chicken on the side. This was my second time there and the same experience with the food.
I’m not sure who had the idea to change things up at The Miller Tavern, but their menu is not even close to as good as what it used to be. We dine there all the time for corporate hosting dinners and I think it’s time to find a new location.
Chicken was tender and moist with my salad but it took forever for the food to arrive.
very handy to the Scotiabank centre and moderately priced
I found the menu to be rather limited and odd. I don't think there is much on the menu that would suit a picky eater. We ordered the potato croquette as an appetizer and while tasty, there were only five of them. We shared a Caesar salad which was huge - it was good. I had the pasta while my daughter had the Cornish hen. All were good but nothing remarkable. Our server was excellent. We had reservations and when I arrived I asked if I could be seated in a booth and was told no, they are only for larger parties. Across from us were three booths and eventually seated in three out of four were parties of two so I found this to be disappointing.
We were very disappointed by the food. The steak was dry and cool, and all our portion of each entre were extremely small portions. We thought they brought us the kids portions. I won't eat there again. The wait staff were great though and very friendly.
Great location prior to Scotia Arena event, nice ambience.
Come here to celebrate New Years with friends! Our waiter wasn’t the most pleased to serve us, but to be fair it was New Years and I’m sure he dealt with lots of drunk people and had short patience. The burger was insanely good, great wings !! Beer is worth the price, any other drink is not since they’re quite stingy on alcohol. Overall had fun there wS great music and great food !
Food was very good and service was prompt. Great location near the Scotia Bank arena.
There was a misunderstanding on the waiter's part about an item on the menu. He told us it was available the person didn't get what they ordered and then the waiter said it wasn't available. 3 different servers gave us 3 different answers. Small portions, overpriced and some of the dinners were cold
We reserved for 5:30 & were seated & served promptly. The wine that was recommended was excellent, but the calamari appetizer was not up to standard-it was hard to chew, so the charge for it was deleted. We ordered salmon & fluke. The salmon was very flavourful & came with curried lentils & steamed spinach-I enjoyed it very much. The fluke tasted good but the portion was too small, not worth the $28, since the only vegetable was smashed potatoes. The dessert choices were limited, as 2 of them weren’t available. Overall excellent service but food choices/portions could be improved.
sat down at 530pm for a pre hockey game meal. The pasta was perfect, service excellent without being overly evident. Would definitely go there again
Overall. I felt the dining experience was not in line with the fairly expensive cost. We were squeezed into a two-person table, barely inches from patrons on either side, and the upholstery seating was peeling and rundown looking. My wife's Cornish hen was excellent and she enjoyed it very much. I ordered a (very expensive) tenderloin steak, which arrived cold, and was advised that the restaurant had "run out" of mushrooms. The woman sitting next to us complained that her hamburger was not cooked. Given that we were time-pressed, I elected not to mention that the steak was cold, anticipating that resolving it would take up time we couldn't spare. Bottom line, I think I could have done a lot better for slightly more than $160.00 and I don't think I'll try the venue again.
I've been going to the Miller Tavern in Hogs Hollow for years and years and lived through their many iterations. It is a wonderful place to go with my wife or a group. Nicely laid out, great service and ambiance. The downtown location is anything but. It is extremely crowded, likely due to the higher cost of the location. When we arrived (with reservation) they seated us at a booth that required a shoehorn to squeeze us in. Joking, if course, but we had to inhale to get in and when we exhaled our gut was pressed against the table edge. Very uncomfortable. The host said "no problem, I'll arrange another table". The next table was aligned so that one of the chairs was half way into the entrance to the kitchen with the resulting noise and the confusion of waiters trying to pass without hitting us. The host said "no problem, I'll arrange another table". Finally one we could sit at but still not the greatest. We took it as we were going to the hockey game and couldn't waste any more time trying to find anything better. I will still frequent Hogs Hollow but not downtown.
