    The dining experience was great. The food had very nice presentations, and they taste pretty good. It got a bit louder throughout the night, but it’s understandable as it was a weekend night. The service was really good, and we spent extra half and hour just sitting down and talking, and the server never came to tell us to leave until they had another reservation waiting, the manager came and told us politely that they needed the table. We felt well respected and left right away. It was a great place to catch up with friends over a nice meal.

    Great food and the plating is so sophisticated. Suggest to put price tag on the dine out festival menu for easier reference

    We went for Dine Out and it was really good value compared to the regular menu prices. We really enjoyed the foods. It was a bit noisy when we arrived at 2:30 pm. Then it got quieter. It was a good Dine Out experience.

    I come to Minami often but this was not our best experience. Service initially was very lacking and the salmon aburi was not as flavourful

    Everything including foods and service is the first class. Throughly enjoyed the lunch. The dine out menu was of great value with five appetizers, sushi main, and dessert.

    Very tasty food, even nicely presented. Main downside was ambience when we arrived, 5pm and very bright, with lots of scattered tables yet minimal dividers, plants, or decor. Helped when they dimmed the lights. Food was awesome, that’s really what counts.

    Easily one of my family's favourite restaurants to dine at. Brought some friends to Minami during Dine Out Vancouver for the first time and they were impressed-- Confident to say, all of us will be returning throughout the year to celebrate birthdays, special dates, or an upscale dinner just because.

    Was there for Dine out yesterday at 1:30pm. Checked in by two rude and disrespectful hostesses at the door. My guests who arrived later had the same experience. Service by the dining room team was excellent though. Food was good and fast…standard Minami quality.In and out within one hour. Same disrespectful treatment by the hostesses upon our departure. Management should address this problem as the restaurant’s business should not suffer from the unprofessional behavior caused by these two front staff.

    Our server seemed high/drunk. He forgot to bring many of the items we ordered. Then he went to check on our fish but never came back to update us! It was almost laughable, except for the fact that we expect better service at Minami. Also the food came out too quickly. We were done in 1 hour 15 min! The food is good but the crappy server and too quick dining experience will really make me think twice the next time I consider Minami. Too bad.

    The manager made sure my mine and my boyfriend’s experience was amazing. Our server must have been busy so he came up to our table to take our drink and food order. When the drinks were taking a while, he promptly let us know and offered us something else if we didn’t want to wait. The manager also thoroughly explained everything we ordered and ensured to answer any questions we had. Overall the experience was great and we’ll definitely be back again.

    If you’d like to experience the hype around Aburi sushi, this is a great restaurant to visit! Minami is the sister restaurant to Miku and does a phenomenal job in delivering a great dining experience.

    Friendly servers, lighting is perfect, seating comfortable, an all-over great look and happy vibe to Minami. Gorgeously-served sashimi; the salmon oshi & lemon-fig sorbet are outstanding. Heard raves from others at my table about the dessert opera :) Excellent gluten-free options & staff is knowledgeable about GF needs. My only frustration was the noise level. My hearing is fine but I had to strain all night to hear my three companions, especially one sitting opposite me. We didn't ask for volume to be turned down & perhaps they'd have obliged... but this was the one negative. Aside from the decibel level we enjoyed a faultless dinner & I'll return again - maybe with just one companion next time.

    Tuna tartare issalty. Wagyu botan oshi is great, duck breast is in good flavour but little bit chewy. Minami signature and Aburi signature are ordinary. Green tea opera is surprisingly good.

    5-star customer service along with a bespoke Japanese-inspired menu... this is absolutely where you want to take your GF for a special occasion or your client for a memorable business dinner... BONUS... they have a Sancerre on the wine list... which you will not find at any other Asian restaurant in Vancouver.
