Serving authentic Indo-Asian cuisine, MINT is the place to gather with friends and enjoy a fun evening out. The retro-contemporary décor is festive and bright. Comfortable cushioned chairs grace the dining room, while plush armchairs offer a spot to relax. The rooftop features multiple private dining cabanas for those wanting to celebrate birthdays, business successes or other special events. MINT's All-You-Can-Eat buffet is a great deal for a midday break. Happy hour specials offer a good deal on drinks during the late afternoon and early evening. The dinner menu at MINT features a harmonious blend of multiple cuisines, including Chinese, Thai and Indian food. Select from the spicy Hakka chicken or Indian chicken curry. There are plenty of vegetarian dishes as well. For dessert, indulge in the New York cheesecake, mango mousse or simply a cup of Indian masala chai.

We decided to try this place inspite of mixed reviews online. We arrived a little early and were the only party in the restaurant for a while. So the staff were very attentive and I'd give the service good grades. The food isn't really worth writing about. We decided to create a meal of appetizers/small plates. The vegetable samosas lacked salt, but otherwise were okay. The aloo methi tikki didn't have any taste of methi - but otherwise tasted good. The rest of the food was okay, but not memorable. There are better Indian places in town.

Been to Mint many times for their great lunch buffet. This time, went with a group of five. Food, as usual, was very good. But for some reason, they made a couple substitutions to our order without informing us. It didn't matter to us much but I found it strange. Also, they need to add some insulation to the back of the restaurant. We had a table in the rear and it was quite chilly but the bathrooms were frigid. Service was fine and my group enjoyed it immensely. Mint will always be one of my 'go to' places in Midtown east..............

Had lunch at MINT just to try something different. They offered us a menu or the buffet. Although I'm not usually a buffet fan, my lunch companions chose the buffet so I went along. What a pleasant surprise. Not a huge number of offerings but each dish was well done. Somehow they had fried fish that was tasty, light, and crispy! On a buffet! The naan was hot and tasty. The curry was spiced just right as were the other dishes. And they even had one of my favorites - sag paneer. Overall a very enjoyable experience!

Dinner for 3 business colleagues at Mint this week. It was quiet - we could talk - Great! The service was attentive and the Indian food was refined and delicious. We had samosas, lamb saag, chicken tikka, okra and garlic naan. They even have western desserts - we split a tiramisu. We will return.

I loved the ambiance of this restaurant. The staff was very attentive. Service was a little slow and it wasn't crowded. They were very accommodating of my early arrival even though I had later reservations. This was my first time eating Indian food. Restaurant hopping is a learning experience. I really enjoyed the Mango Lassi and the Chili lamb. Didnt really like the Malabar Shrimp. It was in a coconut milk. Didnt really get to experience much food because it was unfamiliar. I would like to venture back there one day for that delicious Mango Lassi and maybe try a different dish as well. Had been a couple years ago was great. This time service was slow. Restaurant was almost empty only one other table when we arrived. Food was inconsistent . Some good, tikka masala, vindaloo. Some bad, saffron shrimp- no flavor at all. Large Taj Mahal beer $15.00 and small bowl of white rice which did not come with tikka or vindaloo $6.00. Will not go back.

The lobby entrance does not convey the wonderful ambiance that is inside the restaurant. No one was there to greet us at 7:00 PM in the evening. The staff gave the impression that they were clueless on how to handle customers that had made a reservation. Everyone was nice enough but there was only one other couple in the place and it was still hard to get someone's attention to complete our order and assistance throughout the evening. The food was OK - small portions and NO spice. My 14 year old loved it because the food was not spicy but it did not feel authentic in any way. Not what I was expecting from NYC and overall a disappointing experience.

We were exploring new places during restaurant week. We arrived and they seemed unprepared to seat us despite a reservation and not many customers. The food was good and ample for the RW menu. The service was not attentive to our table and seemed like everyone and no one was seeing to our needs.

Visited as a party of 4 including 2 kids. Food was well presented and tasty but not spiced enough (even for the kids). It was too mild for Indian cuisine. The waiter did not ask our spice preference--which is medium. I assumed default would be medium like in other Indian restaurants, but instead food came out mild. Also, service was inattentive. Many busboys, but not enough attention from waiter. Waiter rarely looked over at our table so I had difficulty getting his attention. He only bothered to ask us how the food was after we had finished the meal. This was too late to make a difference and perfunctory.

Each dish we ordered was full of flavor. The portions were generous! My only negative comment is the staff didn't know what each other was doing. We were constantly asked a question (eg., Would you like a drink?) and a minute later, another staff person would ask us the same question. This happened throughout the entire meal.

The food was good, and service outstanding. We enjoyed our evening. The cauliflower appetizer was spectacular! But it's a very expensive place for the quality produced. I've been to many Indian restaurants all priced less expensive with food that tasted the same if not better. I think it is a good meal with good food, but I don't know if I would go back.

The restaurant is lovely , and the food overall is good but the service needs improving I felt that the waiters and maitre d' were nit as gracious as one would expect in this type of restaurant and were a little diffident..(arrogant maybe?) The food is expensive and for the service not to be on par is not great!

Nice variety of Indian food, along with some tempting desserts. I enjoyed Malai Kofta, although I was surprised that rice didn't come with it and had to be ordered separately. The buffet was going on when we were there and although we didn't partake in it, it looked popular for the business crowd at lunchtime.

We went to MINT for lunch prior to the theatre. There is a fixed price menu but it didn't interest me. My companion had the tomato soup which she said was very good but her entree, mint chicken, was just ok. My meal was simple, chicken tikka marsala with biryai rice and roti, very simple and very good. Portions were good, the restaurant was quiet, and the service was very good.

Very impressed with the food here. As an Englishman exiled in New York, I'm often disappointed with curry restaurants in the city, but this was great. Very authentic food with a great breadth of menu. Good ambience and a wide selection of beers (essential for a good curry experience). No onion bhajis on the menu which was a surprise, but other than that, all good. Service was not slow, but not quick either - that's why it didn't quite get full marks. Pretty good price point too. Highly recommended.

We had an overall good experience. The food was very good. We shared a garlic Naan and crab cake appetizer. I really like the chili lamb and my husband enjoyed the sea bass with a side of tamarind rice. The service was mostly good. We waited quite a while for dessert and the check, but otherwise they were good. We had a large party seated next to us and although they weren't particularly loud, it was somewhat difficult to have a conversation.

This is our third time to MINT in three years. Our annual NYC trip. Nice variety of menu, spicey through not. Saag Ghosht was medium spicey and wonderful. Wife liked the Chicken Briyani but it was too much food. Friend had the Sea Bass, which was perfecectly done and not so spicey. Shrimp in Saffron was the biggest disappaointment - she expected it to be more spicey, the flavor was good, just mild. Kids had never had Indian. Chicken Tika Marsala was a hit, as well as the Mint Rice. All in all a great meal.

A nice business meeting lunch place, had dinner here.... I'd recommend theenu vjoicdst instead of the lunch buffet though, as the chicken Marsala, goat curry was dry and the raita, yellow dal were a little too pureed for my taste...guess the extend the buffet....
