On a stunning Sunday Afternoon with clear skies the views were absolutely amazing - the food was amazing the staff were amazing and polite. Our view was world class - we sat on the patio with sweeping views of the valley. One of the best views and restaurants in the Thompson Okanogan.
Food was 1st class, service was great. The view was absolutely amazing and breath taking!
Great view, food and service was good. Nice touch with the water spray to keep the guests cool. Did the chef tasting menus which was very good and we let them pick a wine to go with our meal which was great.
Service was not very good took almost 50min to get our pizza.
It was a pretty cool experience. The view is stunning.
Beautiful location, spectular view, very creative and perfectly executed menu, good wine list, food and wine fairly priced... overall an almost perfect evening. Before leaving I went to the pass and thanked the kitchen for their great work... BUT service staff lacked any interest, basic communication skills, not to speak of a minimum of passion to be there, greeting very stiff. Were they friendly ? Yes... in a shallow way you would expect in a chain restaurant, sorry... but the phantastic kitchen team deserves a better representation with the guests.
Food was good but not hot. The liver mousse was excellent
Overall not as good as we have been in year's past. The Gnocchi dish was not well done and the Orecchiete pasta was very average. Great restaurant historically but not overly impressed this time! I would look for something different next time.
Prefect selections on menu
Fabulous ad always
Please offer non-alcoholic beverages
We have been to this restaurant many times and have been very pleased, but this last visit was, unfortunately, not good at all.
Service was poor - 45 minute wait for our lunch with only “we are very busy” as a reason, no bread with oil/balsamic on the table as usual, no offer to replenish wine, and very little contact at all. We waited while several other tables arrived after us, and were served before us.
The usually fantastic meatball sandwich came cold, with a piece of butcher twine in one, on top of a piece of very burnt toast. In all fairness, when I mentioned my disappointment to the host, he did offer a complementary meal, but too many “misses” still spoiled a normally wonderful experience.
We hope we will return again, but it will be a while.
Very sad about this.
For business or a date, you should try and try it again... the view, the service and the food is great.. kudos to the staff to honour the view by giving all the attention to make it a great dinner experience
Miradoro does an excellent job of offering amazing food, with a gorgeous setting and wine that will please your palate! Amazing service and professionalism! Thank you Miradoro!
We had a lovely late lunch. Great service and of course wonderful food and wine. Love Miradoro.
Once again we enjoyed the fantastic view excellent service wonderful wines and great food
Thanks for making it so
The restaurant & veranda beautiful
The service was absent... slow drink service!
Manager was awkward and unfriendly when delivering our bottle of wine
Pasta dish stone cold!
Your food and service was incredible. Loved the wines as well.
Bday, no thanks
The restaurant setting is beautiful which is what brought me back. The food is average. My friend and I shared the Gnocchi and marg pizza. The gnocchi was not at all a traditional gnocchi and looked more like a Chinese dumpling. They were on the dry side and the flavour was lacking. The server should definitely let someone ordering this dish know it’s not at all a regular style gnocchi. Both my friend and I finished the dish but agreed it was odd tasting. The pizza was rather flavorless, crust was good but the cheese used was bland and overall didn’t wow us at all. Our other friends dining with us really enjoyed the Arctic char and kale salad but the portions for this items were very very small and they left feeling hungry. One thing that was amazing was the fresh baked bread provided.
Duck liver mousse fabulous. Venison bolognaise excellent. Mushroom pizza had good toppings-crust not as thin as I remembered
Very attentive wait staff and an unsurpassed view. Halibut cheeks were a pleasant surprise and the ribeye steak was delicious.
Overall most disappointed against last years visit - a very noticeable change for the worse - from the 4 of us dining, 2 chicken dishes served warm - 1 steak over cooked which was sent back - 1 fish dish very good.
Service was confusing as nobody seemed to take responsibility for the table, when asking one of the servers to mention our concerns to the Mgr, she identified herself as the asst Mgr.
We did however learn that the person seating guests was actually the owner “Manny Ferreira”, and although both 2 chicken dishes were taken off the bill, the owner never made any attempt to visit our table but rather made an obvious attempt to avoid us even when leaving, I did however have the opportunity to voice my concerns with the chef on our way out who was sat at the bar (sitting at the bar before service has ended makes you wonder as to other dishes still being served)
Perhaps “Tinhorn” winery should take more interest in the restaurant that represents their winery
The Miradoro is always a treat for lunch or dinner! Try to get the corner table on the patio (seats 2) for an unparalleled view of the South Okanagan.
Had an amazing Fathers Day dinner with our family, from allies to desert all was outstanding!
Great view,Great Service, Great food, Great wine! Overall a wonderful 28th Anniversary dinner.
We'll be back!
Outside deck has bad acoustics and is very noisy. Music is loud. View is nice. Venison pasta too sweet and may not have been venison at all. Companion said pizza was good. Will not be going back.
We always enjoy a meal at Miradoro and this time was no different. The patio provides the most beautiful view of the southern Okanagan - not to be missed - and the food (we had the Spinach Risotto, Venison Bolognese, Chicken and pizza) and service were outstanding. With a great wine list of Tinhorn Creek and other Okanagan wines, there is something to drink for everyone. The service was also friendly and efficient and responsive to our needs. We would highly recommend a visit to Miradoro; you will not be disappointed.
Wonderful dining experience. We sat on the patio...enjoyed the lovely view. Our server Vivian was very pleasant and efficient. My husband and myself shared a pizza...absolutely delicious. We will definitely dine here again.
We all had the lunch special...the pasta was nice but not as tasty as it sounded. The piazza was very good though.
My husband and I had a lovely lunch at Miradoro and decided to go back later that week for dinner. Our lunch meal was well served and well prepared and we enjoyed it very much.
Dinner was another story altogether. Although we were seated immediately, the server did not greet us for almost 15 minutes. Our water was never refreshed throughout the entire meal. My husband's pizza was overcooked and dry. By the time our server came to ask how our "first few bites" were, my meal was almost finished and my husband had eaten all of the pizza he could.
The server apologized for the poor service. We recognized that it was not her fault. The restaurant was clearly understaffed that evening and our server was unable to manage the number of guests. She indicated they were short one server. She acted appropriately once she became aware of our dissatisfaction. She brought the concern to her manager who provided my husband with a complimentary glass of wine and did not charge for the pizza. Both were appropriate responses. However, what was supposed to be a very nice evening turned out not to be. Miradoro is not an inexpensive restaurant. One should not encounter such poor service at a restaurant of that caliber. Perhaps they were not yet fully staffed for the upcoming season. On a positive note, we were able to sit on the patio and enjoy the very scenic views on both occasions and could watch deer grazing in the valley.
I would recommend Miradoro for a weekday lunch but not for dinner on a busy weekend.
We spent a wonderful evening here celebrating our 25th Anniversary. Service was great. Food was excellent. Wine was equally amazing (including the added special Tinhorn selections that aren't available at other retail locations). I will be back again (hopefully very soon). This is a gem in the Okanagan!
Lovely location and top notch service. The portion sizes were very small. I didn't feel I got value for the price of the entrees.
We had a very nice meal tonight at Miradoro, but it was not as good as we were expecting. We dine here a few times a year, and tonight seemed especially busy. We were deposited at a lovely terrace table with only one menu, and no one delivered any information as to specials, etc. We ordered a starter after listening to the server describe the specials to the table beside us. My husband’s atctic char was beautiful, and I enjoyed my fregola sarda, but it was very, very salty, a detail I asked our sever to pass on to the chef. I hope she did.
We had a large party on the long weekend. Unfortunately the pasta special dishes appeared to have been left under the heat lamp for too long.. It was busy and we didn't mind the wait.. We would have hoped that all of the food would be great. The other dishes were quite good.
I just think a restaurant of this calibre would know how to deal with large parties. Also, disappointing when we pointed out the concern. The only reaction we got from the manager is they wish we had let them know sooner. A free glass of wine for the person who had the less than desirable dish would have gone a long way.. And wouldn't have cost much when you look at the 8 people's bills.
The appetizer and entree were amazing!!!. The dessert was a bit of a disappointment - and I’m generally a great fan of dessert. I actually left most of it.
The location, view and service were 5 star!!
A pleasant dinner on the patio despite the noise level - difficult to have a conversation. Food good but pricey for what was offered. Flat bread pizzas were great. Needless to say great wine.
Thoroughly enjoyed our late afternoon dinner on the patio. Food was great. View was spectacular. Highly recommended the duck and the roasted olive tapas.
This was my second time at this restaurant, and I made a reservation online with a request for patio seating. We called and confirmed our reservation and said we would be 5 mins late. When we arrived, they didn’t have our reservation and said they couldn’t sit us on the patio. The hostess said that making online reservations didn’t work with their system (?)...
I was very disappointed as the patio was one of the main reasons for choosing this restaurant. The food was pretty good, and the service was decent.
Such a great place for a romantic dinner! Beautiful setting, delicious food, I highly recommend it!
Outstanding food. We had a group of 6 and everyone loved their meals. Top notch!
